Shady Hill Greenhouse & Nursery

I have always done business with this company in the past but this bout of incompetence has finished that relationship. I called yesterday to order mulch delivered to my residence for the following Saturday and to be delivered in a very specific location in my driveway. Alas the very next day I come home, this is a Thursday, to find 6 yards of mulch dropped right in front of my garage door bay. Not only was it the wrong day for delivery but they neglected to deliver the mulch in the section of my driveway that turns into a covey where it had always been delivered before. Now I can’t get my vehicle into my garage. Delightful!
I was able to speak to a manager at the greenhouse where I informed him that I want nothing more to do with his company and I hoped that he could better train his employees in handling calls. I am no phonetics expert but no part of Saturday sounds like Thursday. The managers response was that it was unfortunate to loose a customer but it is «just one of those things in life that happens». Those are the exact words as I write this review just minutes following our conversation.
I am certainly upset with Shadyhill and in my small way I will pass along to several of my close friends and neighbors who do frequent the Greenhouse and make them aware of my experience as well as to make those aware who read this to take caution in certain aspects of this company. In the end I suppose this too is just one of those things in life that happens.

This is supposedly an upscale nursery. Until you tell them you had a problem, of course!
I recently emailed them to tell them about mulch delivery problems I had last year. I was not looking for any compensation, just an FYI. After three days and no reply, I emailed them again. This time I got an immediate response apologizing for taking three days, but i was at fault because it took me a year to let them know. According to them, they have not had any problems with their mulch. Apparently, my complaint was not worthy of being a complaint since I took so long to let them know. WOW!!!
Customer service? You guessed it! They don’t have any!!!

Having owned a few homes and traveled near and far to many greenhouses/​nurseries across the state there are few that stand out.
Shady is one of those places.
It is NH Rustic and the caretakers of Shady are expert professionals in all things green.
They carry trees, seasonal bushes, plants and full grown trees.
I have also received design help from them on many of my mulch deliveries.
Highly recommended!
They also have loyalty programs and gift cards.
