Dr. Ort was referred to me by my dermatologist. Last November, Dr. Ort treated me for angioma. The laser treatment was quite painless. The whole visit took about 1 ½ hours and I’m very happy with the results! My upper lip looks like it used to look! Cindy S.

Scheduling an appointment was quick and easy. I met with Sheila a few days later for a consult about dealing with some small spider veins on my face. The following Friday, I was in the chair as Sheila worked carefully with her laser. The office is super clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. I was taken in for my appointment exactly at the scheduled time! Sheila is friendly, professional and ensures your comfort and care during the procedure. I found the entire 30 minute procedure to be comfortable, with very little(I do mean very little) pain. I absolutely recommend these fine folks if you are considering any cosmetic procedures, or any procedures within their scope of offering. They are excellent! As a side note, I also found the pricing to be super reasonable…

If I could, I would give Dermatology and Laser Institute of Colorado no stars, but that was not an option. My experience… terrible, awful, expensive. I spent 20 minutes with Cera Hill, she removed a slightly suspicious mole from my toe and a red spot off my shoulder which she simply had no idea about, so better safe that sorry? Maybe, if I hadn’t ended up paying $ 550 to her friends at University Physicians. Of the 8 tests they did on one suspicious red spot(6 of which appear to be the same test over and over), only one was covered under Cigna(and no she doesn’t use Unipath where the charge would have almost certainly be less, she uses CU, where she went to school, and where they learn and teach and explore until you can pay no more). But even the CU deep dive exploration of my ‘red spot’ yielded no answers, so they proceeded to send the material to yet another group of scientists at Hematologics which was out of my network, but who cares while we are spending my money. After performing BCell Gene rearrangement(whatever that is — code for insurance scam?) on the material, they too could provide no answers, but they did send me a bill for $ 323.50. So almost $ 900 later, and 6 weeks before any results were communicated to me, I have no answers but I am out almost a grand. Dr Hill was sure apologetic, but that was of little comfort. I hate this place, I would never return to this office or this doctor, and next time I find something suspicious I will cut it off myself and follow up with a trip to the hospital, because the trip to the ER would cost me less than this ridiculous experience.

I adore Dr. Reimer. She does a thorough skin check on me every year and explains which freckles and moles I should keep an eye on.(As a pale redhead, I have quite a few). From a vanity standpoint, she put me on a good cache of face stuff to keep my face looking shmoove and flawless. She’s not stingy with samples and rebates, so everything is always affordable. She communicates well, presents herself well, and is a VERY good skin doc. I’m really picky with doctors; Dr. Reimer gets 5 stars.

I was very impressed with Dr. Ort’s office, for a few reasons. #1: As with many offices these days, they tell you where to find their forms, and to fill them out ahead of the appointment. #2: They take you back for their appointment ONTIME. #3: The nurse, and then the doctor, come right into the room RIGHTAWAY. #4: If the doctor leaves the office and says he’ll be right back, he COMESRIGHTACK! #5: They listen, then they tell you what they see, what they can do, and what will happen next. They are friendly, but not overly chatty, as I assume they want to be just as on time for the next person as they were for you. However, you don’t feel rushed, either. #6: They call with results when they say they will, and make sure you understand the results. It has become necessary for doctors to be good doctors AND good business people, or at least hire someone who is a good business person, and Dr. Ort has accomplished that. I respect medical offices that are run efficiently, and respect MY time, too. I will be a patient as long as they are open, and I have already, and will continue to recommend them.

I was a patient of Dr. Ort about 3 years ago when I was diagnosed with skin cancer on the face. Dr. Ort did a biopsy and called me the next day to get me in for the excision. I have to say that I was not happy with the procedure nor the office staff because 3 years later I still look like ‘scarface’ regardless of the assurance from Dr. Ort. The staff never followed up with me and at my next appointment I was assured that within a year it will be barely visible. I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth because I was not given a realistic idea of what to expect and nor any time to consider alternatives. Dr. Ort might be a good cosmetic dermatologist but as a surgeon I would NOTRECOMMEND him.

My son needed to have a skin rash checked out and they worked him in without making us wait weeks to get in! They bring you in what looks like a photographer’s studio to document your progress. Quite an operation. The doctors are committed to their practice and treat their patients with care. Recommend you check it out!

I’ve been here several times to get strange and exotic skin stuff looked at(i.e. moles) and have had to have a few of them taken off. My doctor is Dr. Ort and he’s a pretty good, down to earth guy. He takes pictures to monitor everything and is pretty easy to schedule and get moles taken off. The receptionist is a little slow, especially if they have a few people waiting, but after that it’s smooth sailing. I’ve never had a wait for the doctor himself.
