Hubby and I frequent here before heading off to dinner on a date night. We’ve always found the bartenders/staff friendly and knowledgeable. Recently we were having a pre-dinner drink and my bracelet fell off, unknown to me. By the time I realized it was missing I figured it was long gone. Fast forward about 6 weeks and we went back for a beer on a night out and low and behold they had found my bracelet, and secured it in the safe. They didn’t know my name or number but were holding on to it until we returned. Kudos to Mike and Jeanette(sp?) for being such honest and great people.

What a gem of a place to hang out. Cigars, good staff and great selection of drinks. Karaōke is pretty well done too! I’ll certainly be back!

I would give it 5 stars but I’ve been here 25 minutes smoking my cigar and no one has asked if I wanted a drink or anything. The bartender and the staff just kept walking by. The service is usually 5 star, but I don’t know what has happen. The music is still good so that the reason I gave it 3 stars.

The place struggled a bit when it lost a few of its regular bar tenders this past year. Been here twice this past week. Happy it seems to be back on track.

Although this place is quite the drive from downtown Denver, the occasional trip is worth it. The selection of cigars is great…3 walls of cigars, I believe… nice! The attached bar has everything from bottom shelf to Mac 18 which pairs well with my taste in cigars. The section that joins the cigar area and bar has some nice, plush couches. On a warm evening, this place is great, with lots of open windows so you can smoke, without being in a smokey room. Parking is easy as this location is within mall limits.

Even though I don’t smoke cigars myself, I do enjoy hanging out with my friends that do. Something about a little smoke in the air and a chilled glass of quality bourbon that really sets a mood. I’m a big fan. I will say that the wait staff service was pretty slow, and got a few drink orders wrong, but they were friendly about it. Not a turn off for going back, but we’ll see how it goes next time. The atmosphere is great, and the background music was superb in creating that feeling of supreme relaxation and enjoyment after a long work week. But I must say that when the DJ came in at 9pm, though he did play relatively good music, it essentially ruined the mood. It became incredibly loud, we had to shout at each other to carry a conversation! The purpose of this sort of «room» was crushed by a DJ, and I was sadly disappointed in that. Seems like I’ll be coming in early evenings to avoid that!

Holy cow! This place looked good, but blew my mind away. Bring your A game, but don’t be shy. We had such a great time. Awesome vibe, awesome music, great night. I rarely give 5s and this place gets it

This place is horrible! When we first went in, it took the server 20 minutes to come to our table. Every time we wanted to order a drink, she was never around. Then we ordered a round ouf shots and she brought out the chaser. She didn’t bring out the actual shots until half an hour later. Then at the end of the night, it took 20 minutes to find her to close out our tabs. After she had our cards, it took her another half an hour to ring the 4 of us out. Let me add that the place was pretty much empty and there was no reason for it to take that long. That sounds pretty bad right? Well that’s not even the worst part! My buddy said he would pick up the tip since i had one of his drinks on my tab. I intentionally left no tip on my tab because of this. I just got my credit statement today and the waitress gave herself a $ 5 tip on a $ 14 tab. That is what is called STEALING!!! Even if I did tip her, it wouldn’t have been that much because of how poor the service was.

You have a choice of DJ uns uns unsting on one side or a more traditional smoking lounge ambience on the other. I opt for the latter. Great cigar selection. Busy but customer-focused and knowledgeable staff. I come any chance I get. A great addition to Lone Tree!

This review is for the bar only. We had great service from the gal selling cigars. The bar service was terrible. I was waited on quickly by standing at the bar but the bartender was unfriendly and aloof. I ordered a makers mark Manhattan and it came in a highball glass with ice and some kind of flat ginger ale type liquid in it. Not a Manhattan. The drinks are a bit on the pricier side and we were only checked on once sitting in the center area even though there were about 4 servers and not a full bar. The cocktail waitresses were very nice but sadly that doesn’t redeem this place. We will be back for the cigar shop but will be skipping the bar next time.

Imagine elegance of Mad Men blended with finest cocktails(note: made with fresh ingredients). Some of all time favorite cocktails are thyme heels and Mexican firing squad. At Robusto Room you can sincerely enjoy a quiet afternoon to catch up on work or even hold a meeting. My personal preference is to relax in a comfortable lounge area while sipping on a cup of coffee. When I am looking to unwind during the week yet looking to expand beyond the bar stool I enjoyed both karaōke and trivia nights. The trivia DJ is incredibly friendly and welcoming(this is not the standard Geeks Who Drink trivia). Karaōke nights are fantastic even if you shy away from performing(the bar staff will actually participate as well!). Staff is professional, friendly, educated about their craft and more importantly dapper. A place speaks for itself by the kind of patrons it attracts. Guests at Robusto Room are sophisticated and polite. You will not find your standard assortment of «bros» and«hipsters» and guaranteed to leave with fond memories as oppose to alcohol-drenched clothing.

Visited this place after a nice trip to Cuba, where I brought a couple of boxes of cigars back to the states. They also had a groupon that was $ 15 for $ 30 in drinks. There are a couple of great things about this place. 1. You can smoke your stogie inside 2. Inside means nice leather chairs big enough for Goliath to pop a squat 3. They serve tons of whiskies and plenty of other booze options 4. The staff is very attentive 5. Awesome location in Lone Tree close to restaurants and such The one negative, imo, is that they don’t have a kitchen so once you get all buzzed on booze and stogies, you have to settle for chips and salsa or go somewhere to grab a bite. Smoke on baby!

Not sure why my review wasn’t showing up. noticed when I went to update after entertaining some out of town guests. This place is awesome! Earlier review. There really is nothing like The Robusto Room. A great selection of both cigars and Scotch combined with a helpful staff willing to help you make a selection if you really don’t know what you’re doing equals a laid back and enjoyable place to kick back after a long day. After sifting through all the mud that is the local bar scene, this is the gold nugget at the bottom of the pan.

Total class, both in the«dudes-in-suits» sense and the«I’m-here-to-learn» sense. Dudes in suits: well dressed, extremely friendly, and super knowledgeable about scotch and cigars(more about that later). The bar tender actually shook my hand! Now we’re bros. Headed to his house tonight.(Just kidding). If you like lounging in plush leather chairs(although limited in number) while watching basketball, drinking an appropriately priced drink, and smoking a nice cigar, this place is your kind of classy. Here to learn: I know scotch somewhat, but 5 minutes of conversation with the bartender doubled my knowledge. Plus, you get to sample before you buy! That’s unreal. The same was true with the cigar guy, minus the tasting. That would be weird. He showed me how to light a cigar the proper way, which I had done wrong my whole life, and was very informative and friendly. Rally great place. Best rye manhattan I’ve ever had. Even has a Groupon available right now.

I would not recommend this place. I really wanted to like this place as I love the concept. The specialty cocktails were just ok nothing that makes me want to go back for and they weren’t very big for the $(like smaller than normal cocktails). The night we were there it was just a handful of other people there. The bartender was friendly enough but he apparently didn’t think I left a big enought tip because I was charged much more than I left. I guess 20% isn’t good enough these days. I’m still waiting to see the credit on my account after speaking to someone over a week ago. If you go, check your statement to make sure you were charged correctly.

First time here, was staying at Elemental hotel a block away and they recommended it. Cool place, better if you’re more than one + an iPad and his new DSLR camera(hey, I was traveling and in a quiet mood). Bartender friendly and attentive even though I was at a table far away. NOTE: There is an attached cigar shop, but they close at 9 or 10PM(I arrived a bit after 10PM on a Wednesday). After that, there is a small humidor(maybe 20 boxes) you can choose from. Didn’t experience any problem with smoke, but then, I went in knowing it was a cigar bar: D In fact, I happily contributed to said smokiness. Looking forward to returning on my next trip to Denver.

Not sure where all the negative reviews of RR come from, but I’ve never shared any of those bad experiences. I’ve been coming here for over 5 years as my go-to chill spot. I work in DTC and try to avoid going downtown at all costs. It’s nice having such a cool and close place to hang out after work. I wish there was a Robusto on my side of town instead of all the terrible sports bars that engulf suburbia. With their most recent HVAC& air filtering system, you’ll be pleasantly surprised as to how little smoke gets in your clothing. Every time I come home from Churchill’s, I wanna burn my clothes, but RR is not bad at all. Robusto is where I first began my obsession with scotch. They have a quality selection and the new handcrafted cocktail menu is a homerun. I’ve tried several and they’re all fantastic. Does RR get a little rowdy at times on weekend nights? Sure. But it’s a whole lotta fun. On any given night, you can walk into a killer DJ set, boisterous poker night, karaōke, UFC fights, and a whole list of various other special events. For a quiet gar and relaxing libation, come during the day or around happy hour. Come by after 9p if you want to blow some steam. Don’t expect a generic cigar lounge or boring martini bar — it’s definitely not your typical stodgy or gaudy venue.

As far as a cigar bar go, I have not found one better. I’ll take an afternoon off from time to time just so I can sit here and enjoy a robusto and a drink. Great selection of cigars and they have got the ambiance nailed. Staff is very helpful if you need to pick out a cigar on site, however the price of a stick is very high so plan ahead and bring your own. Drink prices are also out of hand and several times someone in my group orders a drink that the bartender does not know, one example was a tequila sunrise. Other than that, I go in here alone or with a group and always have a nice time. When it’s slow the staff is always able to engage in entertaining conversation and willing to accommodate you. During the day they normally just have Pandora playing and will let you change it to whatever you like.

Wow, where do I even begin with regard to my experience here? To give them the benefit of the doubt, I’ll start with the positives: First positive was a Groupon offer that allowed my two male companions to do the single malt tasting and entitled them to a free cigar from Stogies and Bogies. I don’t think it was an exceptional deal, but it was a deal nonetheless. The guys at Stogies and Bogies are always super nice, I’ll write them a separate review. Second positive was an entertaining evening, though not in a way any business would probably like to have their patrons experience. Let me try explain myself… Our evening started with a quick stop to pick out the aforementioned cigars, we then proceeded to walk through the room that connects Stogies and Bogies to The Robusto Room– it was like entering a circle of hell, all fire and brimstone. There is zero ventilation in that space, and how people are sitting there puffing away like it’s no big deal is baffling– it was instant stinging of the eyes, can’t breathe kind of feeling. Thankfully, the Robusto Room itself is much better ventilated, only a slight haze, but what can you expect when 90% of the people in there are puffing on cigars and cigarettes. I stopped by the bar before we sat down so I could see their beers on tap– not a terrible selection but nothing that got me excited. I ordered my beer and identified which table we were sitting at while at the same time my husband was showing the bartender our Groupon for the tasting. We proceeded to join our friend at our table and the waitress brought my husband and friend their tasting. She also mentioned she’d «bring water for the table» as she hurried off. She then proceeded to come back with 2 waters that she placed in front of the guys, completely ignoring me, and walked away. That was the last time we saw her at our table for the next hour and a half. This was on a Saturday night and they had a DJ playing music. The music was decent, but the guy running it was hardly what I would qualify as a DJ. He pretty much had a list of songs that he’d intermittently push a button or «scratch» to transition from song to song. It was actually quite laughable. But even more laughable was his incredibly drunk girlfriend who would occasionally wobble over to make out with him. They would eat each other’s faces and touch each other seductively, and then she’d wobble back to the bar while he mastered his craft. Watching the girlfriend was the best entertainment. She drunkenly sat herself with some unsuspecting couple and ultimately got the woman from the couple to the«dance floor» where she proceeded to awkwardly force the woman to dance seductively with her. You could tell the woman was incredibly uncomfortable and wanted off that tiny dance floor where the girlfriend was using her as a prop to seduce the DJ boyfriend. Normally, I wouldn’t discuss other patrons as having an effect on my rating, but when she was associated with someone who is representing the establishment, I do consider this a major faux pas and worthy of affecting my rating of the establishment. During this time, I also watched our non-existent server squatting in a corner behind the bar texting on her phone. Since my beer had been empty for quite some time, I decided perhaps I should go to the bar to get another one, for myself, which I did. I also watched the bartender come out from behind the bar multiple times to serve other tables in there throughout the night. Our waters were never refilled, no one ever checked on us and we had to flag down our server to get our bill. We knew it was time to go when the DJ’s girlfriend went to «drop it low» and fell on her ass. In summary: Service was abysmal. Music was decent though they could have saved themselves some money and embarrassment by association by skipping the«DJ», and leaving his girlfriend at home. Drinks were priced high with a «meh» selection. Overall, there are a lot of other places I’d rather go to drink, and just enjoy the cigars outside somewhere else.
