Dr. Muffly was amazing. I was so scared to go see him for my issue since it was so embarrassing. But he made me feel comfortable and after two months I have not had to go back to see him. After three of going through my issues he was patient enough with me to help me. The UCH system is awesome because you can email you doctors/nurses with a response usually in two days. I am a satisfied customer.

I’m really disappointed with my visit here. I’ve been looking for a doctor who«gets it» for awhile now. I thought I had found it with Karlotta Davis(I had seen other reviews for her), but I was sorely mistaken. The reason for my visit was because ovarian and cervical cancers run in my family and I had been having some abnormal cycles and other general symptoms of beng unhealthy and unhappy. I made it clear when booking my appointment(and again with the nurse, and AGAIN with Dr. Davis herself) that this was for a well-women’s check up(100% gynecology). What does she do? She scans my BLADDER. I thought it was weird when I was there, but figured it must be some new thing. No. It isn’t. And instead of my well women’s checkup being covered by insurance, I was out-of-pocket nearly $ 200 for an unnecessary bladder scan. What’s even more frustrating to me is that if it had been a scan to check on my ovaries, I would have been happy to pay the cost and get reassurance that there are no tumors or growths… but no, they didn’t do that. I got a pointless and very expensive bladder scan. Guess what? My bladder is healthy. Which, I knew. It wasn’t the point of my visit. Aren’t you Unilocalers happy to know? When we actually get to the POINT of my visit, I explain my history, concerns, and previous attempts at leveling things out. I can’t take birth control because it doesn’t react well in my body. I explained this for about 15 minutes to her. It makes me sick, tired, and in a lot of pain. It was also my understanding through my own research that hormones can be balanced and your cycle regulated through other methods besides pumping synthetic hormones into your body. Birth control isn’t dangerous to everyone, but it is dangerous to ME. Dr. Davis’s prescription? Nuva Ring. A «low-dose» birth control. Wow, this woman really doesn’t «get it». I’m assuming she tuned out the ENTIRE time I talked to her. In the end, I was left with absolutely no answers, a billion questions that were ignored, and a feeling of even MORE hopelessness than I had when I went to the doctor(when I thought I had cancer). You read that right. I went to Dr. Davis thinking I had cancer and I left Dr. Davis’s office feeling even WORSE. Yeah, it was that bad. Dr. Davis has terrible bed-side manner, she doesn’t listen, and she pushed prescriptions on me that I explicitly told her reacted badly in my body. I will never return to that medical center or Dr. Davis’s office ever again.
