One of the best Sushi places in Denver. Unfortunately this restaurant is CLOSED. Believe they sold and now operate under the name Little Geisha.

Best sushi in Denver. Been to japon, hapa and sushi den. They got nothing on this place. The presentation is beautiful, the fish is fresh and melts like butter in your mouth. The rice to filling ratio is perfect. Nothing bad to say. The miso soup is even superb. The sushi artists’ are the real deal here.

Great sushi and they will make you anything you want even if it’s not on the menu! I have been in several times and it’s always consistent. The service could have been better once but still god.

Impressive selection of rolls, FOUR full pages in the menu! Rice was perfect temperature and texture. I had the Konami roll and the veggie tempura. Tempura was OK, but the roll was wonderful fresh tasting, interesting combo of flavors. Daughter had the sushi special dinner, was also very good! Service was great, attentive but not intrusive. Now this is our go to sushi place. Rolls were good size for the price.

Yuki Sushi & Robata came about as close to a five-star review as possible. 4.5 out of 5 would have been my most accurate assessment. This disappoints me.. .here’s why: I have been a sushi fanatic my entire life. I would rate sushi as my absolute favorite genre of food. I first visited Yuki Sushi & Robata about 9 years ago. The owner at the time(a kind Asian man that I believe was named/went by the name Charlie) made a point to greet my wife and I, especially since we were regulars, upon every visit. Our son was about a year or two old at the time and Charlie always gave him a free bowl of green tea ice cream. Wonderful, wonderful man. One Christmas, we were even given a nigiri ornament for our tree! This was the best sushi place I had ever visited! From 2010 through 2013 my family and I left Colorado for business. Upon returning in late 2013 we began to eat at Yuki Sushi & Robata again. Although we never saw Charlie, we assumed business had been successful enough for him not to be as involved. It wasn’t until recently that we learned through other Unilocal reviews that he has most likely sold the place in the not too distant past. Since Charlie’s departure the place has digressed a little. On one recent occasion we were shorted a number of sashimi selections and had to alert the server that they were on our order sheet. Make certain you keep track of what sushi you order versus what actually arrives at your table. The staff is friendly, but not nearly as disciplined and attentive as when the place was Charlie’s. There are new servers and chefs nearly every few months. Although cordial they are not nearly as concerned with customer service as the staff under Charlie’s régime. I swore I would never consume my favorite food at any Colorado locale except for Yuki Sushi & Robata. With the apparent change in ownership, I have loosened on that opinion a bit. The place remains our preferred choice, but I am not certain for how long. For now, I will say it is still a top Colorado sushi location.

I hadn’t had sushi in awhile and was craving it, and Yuki did a good job at fulfilling it. Hot/spicy edamame was Colorado-style(as in 404 spicy not found), tea was so-so, and the sushi was the best part. We got a variety of rolls, so I don’t remember them all, but I do remember some of the names being hilarious. One of my friends is also in love with the eel here.

We’ve been regulars here for six years. We’re always so happy with the food and service! The sushi is fantastic and the rolls are just stellar! Try the peppered tuna sushi, and the firecracker, temptation, and trio rolls for sure. Great food for a fantastic price! And have Randy sing for you too!

I have been eating here for 7 years and the food is always excellent! I have eaten sushi in Hawaii, Mexico, and Europe and nothing compares to the flavor combinations and reliably good food.

When on business travel, if not careful it’s quite effortless to add an extra few pounds around the waist, so I attempt to eat healthier dinners like sushi. I’ve been to a couple of sushi places in the proximity of my usual hotel and I decided to try something different. Within a short stroll, I discovered Yuki Sushi & Robata. I got here right before six and the place was empty aside from one couple paying their bill. I was greeted politely and seated promptly by two younger staff. I promptly ordered the Sushi Combination Dinner, which came with an assortment of Nigiri and a California roll. It took ten minutes for them to bring over the complementary Miso soup and a while to bring the meal. The soup was pretty good and so was the sushi. I really enjoyed the California roll, as it was light on mayonnaise, which I prefer. The nigiri was very fresh, although the pieces were on the smaller side, but still pretty good value for $ 18. When I finished, the cucumber seafood salad seemed very appealing, as I was still a tad unsatisfied having a tiny lunch earlier that day. I placed the order and waited again, where I was able to read a few articles on my phone. Time passed and the server came by to see if I was ready for my check, and I said, «what about my salad?» She replied, «they didn’t bring it to you?», as if she was avoiding accountability. She was the one interfacing with me the whole time, and now someone else was responsible for delivering my salad… strange and typical unaccountable behavior these days. Since I was in no rush, I did not make a big deal of it and just went back to my reading. The wait was definitely annoying but worth it with first bite of the salad. Super fresh and crunchy young cucumbers chopped up and mixed with assortment of diced sashimi, roasted sesame and garnished with light vinegar based dressing. So you would think the wait was over, not quite. I was made aware that they were having technical difficulties with the credit card machine, and she was very apologetic and seemed sincere about it. Since I had no cash on me, I was forced to wait again. Another person came by and apologized to me for the wait; at least they seemed to care. Aside from the wait due to a fumble by a daydreaming young lady, the place has decent sushi. And by the way they have $ 1 nigiri all day and every day. If it wasn’t for the wait, I would consider this a 3.5 star establishment, and would have rounded it up to for, but because of the over an hour meal, I had to give them 3 stars. Such a shame… but I will come back and give them another chance to redeem their slow paced service.

Just another sushi joint. No one inside but us 2, on a Saturday night. But we still tried it. Sushi was alright minus the massive amounts of rice in each bite. + expensive for no reason. A few tweeks here and i feel like you guys would flourish. Great location. Ate: — Volcano roll(pretty good) — Yummy yummy roll Suggestions: — Add some lively music, maybe people might come — use less rice, more fish & goodies — lower your prices, WAY expensive for what you get

Not wanting to let my Groupon expire, I persuaded a couple of friends to venture to Yuki Sushi with me. The interior of the place is in need of a makeover. The server on this night seemed a bit overwhelmed, even though they were not that busy. The«chef?» who brought the food to our table seemed strangely reluctant to describe or identify what was what. The menus were rather worn out, and several listed items were unavailable. Despite all of this, the sushi was decent. My friends had a variety of rolls, but I went with the shrimp tempura(one of my standards) and the tempura asparagus. Was this tempura asparagus roll as good as the amazing one I recently had at Hapa Sushi? No, but it was pretty darn tasty. The shrimp tempura roll was acceptable. I also had to try the $ 1 for 1 roll sushi. I went with the tomago(egg), and it was okay. The $ 1 sushi is primarily fish(no surprise) but it is a nice way to let people try lots of different items at a reasonable price. The spicy edamame was rather disappointing. It was pretty much regular edamame with a spoonful of sambal spread over the top.

I’ve always been hesitant to eat sushi or any sea food for that matter.. Growing up in Montana sea food isn’t our first priority but after being convinced to try it I really enjoyed it. This place did a good job and I’ll be back for more. The service was a little slow with one server doing the entire dining room but I got served and I enjoyed it. Try the Yum Yum.

Cute place! Nigiri was extremely fresh, just small pieces. Definitely order more rather than less! The Tai(Red Snapper) came with a dab of some sort of delish cucumber sauce on top. Def recommend! Ginger dressing was okay, Miso soup was large, and green tea was awesome.

As I continue my quest to experience different sushi places around Denver(and beyond), the $ 1 menu was one of the drivers for us to try this one. I was pretty excited until our sushi/sashimi order arrived. The pieces were very small. I did enjoy the mackeral, but just wished they were bigger :). A bit disappointing. Service too wasn’t all that great. Took a long time with only just a few tables. Maybe will have to try it again to see if maybe the night we went was an off night?

Helpful staff and good food, but the sushi is a bit over priced for what you get. That said, it is conveniently located close to the movie theater for a quick 30 minute dinner before a flick.

Yuki Sushi & Robata, my second visit to you… I came, conquered and unfortunately 2 minus stars for you this time around… The latest visit to this Sushi establishment was on FRIDAY March 2nd2012. My fellow Singaporean friends had made the reservation for a farewell party. If I am not mistaken we were the largest group with 12 adults and 5 kids, that evening and perhaps the«loudest»… The reservation was for a 6:00 pm dinner. When we first arrived, our table was indeed ready for our PARTY. That’s good. The waitstaff and our servers at that time was indeed attentive and very accommodating for our group. From what I could recall here was what I ordered that evening : * Hot Tea($ 1.50) * Appetizer Calamari($ 5.95) * Shrimp Kushiyaki($ 5.95) * HH Unagi($ 1.50) * HH Hokigai($ 1.00) * HH Kaibahira($ 1.75) * HH Tobiko($ 1.50) * HH AmaEbi Nigiri Sushi($ 4.95) * Spicy Scallop Roll($ 7.95) * Dynamite($ 5.95) * Green Mussels($ 5.95) Note HH means«Happy Hour»?? I am uncertain about this but oh well. Does that mean, a cheaper sushi, nigiri or sashimi? Hmmm… I received my first order of Shrimp Kushiyaki @ 18:34hrs ish. This dish comes with 2 bamboo skewered with 3 pieces of shrimp and green scallions alternating being skewered on each bamboo sticks. This dish comes hot and was slightly burned. Cant recall if this dish comes with a special sauce to dip in or not. *Bummer* Next order I received was the Fried Calamari as an Appetizer @ 18:35hrs ish. This dish comes hot, with a sliced of lemon. I like the Calamari coz its so tender. At 18:40hrs ish, my order of single nigiris came. All in alI, all the dish I ordered is A-OK. Though I cant deny the nigiris are a little smaller from my last visit many moons aka YEARS ago aka in year 2008… Then @ 19:14hrs ish my order of Spicy Scallop Roll arrived. I like it, but It Does NOTWOW me as much as I want it to be. Since I am one of the adventurous eater of the group, some of my friends decide to order what I ordered. My order of Green Mussels came @ 19:22hrs ish. The«Ooohh and The Aaahs» uttered came from my friends, was when my order of Dynamite came @ 19:25hrs ish with«the flashing» light and flames. As for the dish itself it was just A-OK. This dish comes with seafood of shrimp and bay scallops, with vegetables and is covered with white cream sauce and cheese. I also had some tasting of what my other friends ordered. SPICYSEAFOODUDON Soup($ 9.95) in which I forgot to take picture of this dish. That I like, with the portions and the tasty broth. One qualms about this recent visit was that Yuki Sushi ran out of Uni for that evening. *Sad Face* Another qualms since I guess its almost the weekends, indeed this establishment is VERYBUSY. So the service went a «little south» in terms of filling up drinks especially water for everyone at our party. One of the server, was indeed apologetic about this incident. Good thing to note, at least Yuki allows our party to bring our own desserts since, one of my friends daugther bakes a «special cake» for the farewell party, and we want to send our good friend with a good note with Home-Made Desserts which has«ice-cream texture in the ingredients» and require some refrigeration before consumption. For the kids, at least Yuki provide desserts such as ice-cream for them, another good gesture to note. With some«little hiccup», the food was just A-OK for me, and if its not because of my friends, I dont know whether, I should or should not return to Yuki Sushi & Robata. Perhaps I was there on their«OFF» day… Perhaps… *More Sad Face* :‘( @34/2012

$ 1 sushi disclaimer: it’s a thin slice, so 5 of them make up one traditional piece of sashimi(you aren’t saving any dough). Regardless people fall for it(we did) and it gets them in the door. That aside, we had a kind waitress who listened to what we asked for, and the food was altogether pretty tasty. Might return as it’s 500 ft from the hotel, might not, would never make a special trip.

Came here for a NYE dinner. The food was nothing special, but what I loved and will make me return to this place… they leave you alone. No overbearing waiter asking you all the time if you need anything else. Nope, she just took our order and checked in a couple times. 3 hours passed and we were still enjoying our sushi and udon. The grilled calamari was pretty tasty and served in a way that I have never had before. The spicy udon and seafood soup was a perfect amount of spice and warmth. the noodles were firm and tender, The sashimi is VERY inexpensive. 1 $ per slice… buyer beware that the slice is very thin, but still it was worth $ 1. I noticed that a lot of their sushi rolls are either tempura-style or have cream cheese, making healthy choices a little on the more difficult side. Would love to go back for another night of sake, sushi and conversation!

Before I moved to California for college, this was my sushi place. It has your standard rolls, hand rolls, nigiri/sashimi($ 1/piece! Well, they’re pretty dinky pieces, but it’s only $ 1!), and specialty rolls as far as sushi goes. There is also a menu with items like bento boxes, udon, steak, etc. BUTTHEIRSPECIALTYROLLS. LETMETELLYOU. Goodness, I’ve tried so many of them and I loved all of the ones I’ve tried — most notably the December 24th Roll and the Hubba Hubba Roll. Their agedashi tofu(also on their special menu) is phenomenal as well. Service is slow on busy days, but that’s understandable(I hate it when people complain about service when the restaurant is busy — the world does NOT revolve around you). The waitresses are all very nice though :) some of them even remembered me! When I go back home to visit, I’ll definitely come back to Yuki!

They do a good solid sushi. Love the $ 1 sushi menu and the service was really good. I item that I liked the best were the hot and spicy edame.
