I’ve been coming here for years. Today I walked in and signed my name in, no greeting, no one looked up… I sat down and then waited and still no nod, smile, nothing. I walked out and did some shopping only to come back 20 min. later. I picked my color and again sat down. Yet again no one bothered to say hello or ask me to come back in an hour. Nothing. After 5 minutes I left. I tip well, my feet aren’t gnarly, there are plenty of other shops with better customer service.

By far the worst gel manicure EVER!!! Not sanitary. I would never come back here. The gel is uneven. The tips if my nails are not smooth. Awful job.

I received a generous gift certificate from my friend to Bamboo. Hanah was kind, spoke good English and gave me a great mani/pedi. I will definitely be returning for my nail care.

Nice atmosphere and friendly technicians. The music isn’t too loud, everything is clean, and they are responsive to requests. Nice massage too!

Had a wonderful time stopping in for a quick pedicure! Andy came to the rescue and I’m grateful he did. Bamboo nails and Spa is beautiful and I’m extremely satisfied with the work.

I’ve gotten mani/pedis here for a couple years now and always had a good experience. Today I got a facial from Helen and it took me to a «resort» feeling. Awesome!!!

Been going here for years. Good service at times and sometimes not so good. I called them out for using the same nail files over and each time I come in now they show me that they have sealed packages of clean tools but be careful if you’re not watching they will use unsterile tools. I go here for convenience and price. Gel nails and pedi’s. Nice staff. Like many other nail salons they are speaking to each other in their language which makes you wonder what they are saying about you. Lol

Very good service… they do not talk in their own language while you just sit there with no idea what they are talking about

Some really good manicurists and some lousy ones. The place is very clean and the staff is very sweet. But the staff talk loudly and constantly in Vietnamese and it’s rude. I always go to The same person for gel manicures and only a select few for pedicures. Don’t go on a Saturday; too busy and you’ll get a rush job instead of a relaxing, proper mani/pedi. Nice relaxing massage chairs. Very reasonable prices too.

I came here yesterday with my BFF for some pampering. The ladies and the gentleman here are very nice. My technician Kimmie gave me a wonderful foot massage with my pedicure. She also removed some painful ingrown toenails – saving me a trip to the foot doctor! They are a little bit more pricey for the pedicures and manicures, but the service and cleanliness definitely make up for it. I appreciated signing for my beauty tools that were auto-cleaved and sealed – this really put me at ease because I’ve heard so many stories about nail salons not being the cleanest. I also was able to get my eyebrows waxed for just $ 10. I was very nervous about it because I am allergic to most beauty products and hair removers. They assured me I wouldn’t break out this time and I didn’t! I truly felt pampered and will be going back there again.

PRO: If I could give separate ratings I would give 5+ stars for the quality of the pedicure. My toe nails look great and my feet look and feel lovely. CON: I give 1-star for what was either poor listening skills or calculated up-selling. Intending to get the most basic of pedicure services, I was talked into upgrading the pedi-package, but when it came to adding flowers and bling to my toes(something that is SO not my style) I said«no» and then repeated«No, thank you» Being fully aware that there was a language barrier I made sure to communicate clearly by using my best teacher«total physical response» and I shook my head no as well. I know I was very clear — I’ve taught ESL(english as a second language) kids for years. I turned to talk to my girlfriend, and when I looked back I had flowers and ‘bling’ added. Not wanting to come across as an a*# about it(and the decoration frankly wasn’t that offensive) I didn’t say anything to the manicurist. I wasn’t too thrilled, however, that I was charged for it. :( Would I go back? Maybe, but I will take hard line if I’m charged for services I said ‘no’ to.

Pros: Cheap facials, noticeable results Cons: Not a luxury trip by far, ESL, no credit cards I got a facial here. The esthetician, Helen, shows you your skin beforehand and then after. There was noticeable(but not astounding) results. She seemed to know what she was doing, but don’t come here expecting a nice conversation and tips on skin care, at least not in English. Also don’t expect the atmosphere of a luxury spa. The room was private, but the ceiling tiles had stains on it, and there wasn’t much décor. I don’t even remember if there was any music. The trade off is price. Instead of a triple-digit price tag, I paid $ 40 plus tip. Although I did use my credit card, I noticed there’s a sign(semi-hidden behind the desk, which you don’t necessarily stop at) that says you can’t. I only came here to address a specific issue. Although I did get reasonable results, I also feel that I got just as much results at home. The rest of my skin did look nice, though, and I don’t know how to do everything at home. So I probably won’t be back immediately, but I’ll keep Bamboo on my candidate list should I attend a special occasion.

April 2014 I brought my friend to Bamboo Nails to treat the two of us to a mani/pedi. We enjoyed the experience for the most part.(Except for the constant badgering from the staff to upgrade all of the services we were getting, even after repeatedly being told no.) After a couple of weeks my friend discovered that she had a bad toe nail fungus on all of her toes. She had to begin treatment. I later discovered that I too had a toe nail fungus on my two big toes. The doctor prescribed Lamisil antifungal to be taken for 9 months.(which is hard on your liver). I took it for 3 weeks and began to have horrible allergic reactions to it and took myself to Urgent Care. I went off it and they had to give me a shot of Beneadrl. Bamboo Nails is not sanitary. Stay Away!

I have been going to Bamboo Nails for almost 2 years. When I say that, I really mean that I have not gone to any other salon in two whole years and I usually go twice a month. Hana has consistently been doing my nails for quite some time now and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Without gel my nails are naturally very thin, always splitting and breaking. However, with Hana’s help my nail beds have gotten much healthier and the gel does wonders for me! Whether it be acrylic claw nails or gel, she does a great job. As for pedicures, Helen is awesome. Although it’s a bit pricey, I recommend the Deluxe Manicure/Pedicure package. I only do this about once every 3 months but includes: pedicure with callus remover, some type of warm gray clay for moisture(with hot rags), a cooling gel treatment, and an extra long hot stone massage with a gel manicure for $ 60. Not bad every once in a while! I just only wish they didn’t charge $ 2 for gel removal. Overall I definitely recommend! Tip: Make an appointment & you never have to wait :)

Just moved back to the area after being in Phoenix for six years, so I didn’t really have an idea of where to go. I checked Unilocal and found a salon with great reviews, but they happened to be closed on Labor Day. Driving around town I spotted Bamboo Nail and Spa. I walked through the door and asked for a fill. I was told that it would be 30 minutes. No problem. I read a magazine for the 30 minutes and was then seated at a station. However, no-one came over to start work on my nails… hmm! I looked around the room and it didn’t like anyone was going to be coming over to start work any time soon. After 15 more minutes, I got up out of the chair and started walking toward the front door. I told the manager(?) that I was leaving. She followed me out to my car and asked me to return, apologizing that the nail tech was so slow with the girl she was currently working on. I told her that I had already been waiting for 45 minutes. She offered to give me 50% off of the price if I would return. I went back in and sat again at the same station. After about five minutes I again started looking around to see if someone was planning on starting work on my nails. One of the nail techs noticed that I was looking around and assured me that a woman(whom she pointed out) would be beginning work on my nails very shortly. As I watched the nail tech that had been pointed out to me, I could see that she was in absolutely no hurry to finish with the client she was currently working with. After a few more minutes, she brought the cart over to the station I was sitting at and told me that it would be just a few more minutes. I asked her how long that would be, and she replied that it would be about two minutes. I sat there for another five minutes, and at that point she began slowly massaging lotion into the other client’s arms. At that point, as far as I was concerned, it wasn’t even worth waiting for 50% off the price. I got up out of the chair, and as soon as I did, the nail tech who was supposed to be doing my nails tried to approach me. I said, «I’m not waiting any longer.» I then walked towards the front where the manager(?) again started to approach me, I told her the same thing. At that point a man(possibly another manager) told me that he was sorry, but they were understaffed!!! My feeling is that if you are understaffed, you should be honest with the client and not quote 30 minutes when it could be a much longer time. Be upfront and let the client know that you’re understaffed and that it could be as long as an hour, maybe even longer. I had somewhere else I needed to be and could not wait any longer, but, truthfully, I wouldn’t have waited any longer anyway. That was just a rude of them to try to keep me there for that long and still not have started on my nails!!!

Took me so long to find the perfect nail salon, I’ve been coming here for almost 2 years now and I love it! The ladies are super nice and there is almost never a wait time. I walk right in, sign in and get seated right away. My favorite part has to be when they rub lotion on you and rub the hot rock over it. It feels amazing! If your looking for a permanent nail salon I highly recommend this place.

Wow, I’m surprised by the negative reviews. I had a great experience! I had gone over to Best Nails & Spa(my normal Sunday afternoon pedi spot), but it’s under new mgmt and was PACKED, so I bailed. I decided to try this place, and I was super happy with the results. First of all, they must have lowered their prices recently. They show you a card with the various choices, and there is a basic spa pedi for 15 and it goes up from there. I got the $ 35 deluxe which included a lengthy massage, exfoliation, callus removal, hot towels, etc. I thought it was a very good and worth the money. I LOVED it. Of course, it really depends on your pedicurist, but the massage was wonderful IMO. I did see that a Vietnamese customer said in her review that they are talking smack about the customers. Maybe they are. I don’t really care, honestly, as long as they give me good service. Talk about my heavy thighs all you want.
