Preparing for end of life care for a loved one is always stressful — never simple. While BBTS is one of the better facilities in the Long Beach area — the incidents we had to deal with lowers their overall score.
Nursing staff, kind, professional, mostly effective. The admin, professional enough. The available physicians… I would rethink. Additional staff like laundry service or other… abysmal. Forget having your loved ones clothes done by the facility, you will not get the correct clothes back — the system they use is a joke. NEVER bring anything of value into these facilities… It will disappear within hours. The more expensive — the faster it goes. NEVER ever bring jewelry.
THAT is a staffing issue, which gets blamed on other ‘visitors or their guests’.
It’s difficult enough to be going through this with your loved one — but there are absolutes that are not honored here, like don’t rip off the dying.
