Probably the best paella I have ever had! Even after having it cooked personally by chef in Spain! From the personal size to the great pricing and even the uniquely flavored squid ink paella this will ruin all other locations for you. It is a must do if you are in downtown long beach!

Tremendous! We were there a month ago. We had been next door for a wedding party, and, on leaving, walked by Café Sevilla. The music was pulsing, earthy, and a celebration of life! Made a mental note. Coming back from Catalina, we worked up an appetite by walking from the ferry, were greeted by our server, Mari, for lunch and were preceded to be treated as if we were the only ones there! She was very knowledgeable about the menu! Spot on actually. The five of us then proceeded to go through expertly prepared tapas, and the Valencia Familia paella. The Sangria was perfect, the Octopus ceviche had just the right spice, the sea bass was amazing, and the mushroom and fig coca to die for. Great place — can’t wait to go back and experience the music!

Great ambience, great Spanish decorated restaurant in downtown LB. Service is good and the tapas are great for the price! Hope you enjoy it as my coworkers and I do.

What can I say? We love good food, good company, and who doesn’t love a pitcher of Sangria? Everything at Sevilla came together to provide a delightful experience, from the patio dining to the fun couple we met eating next to us. The wait staff was great — helpful, friendly, and prompt, yet we never felt hurried for a moment. The food was just delicious, especially the Argentinian tapas which I can’t spell or pronounce… just go there if you haven’t already. Save room for dessert. We shared the apple tart. Heaven.

Staff was friendly and the menu was good. The paella could have had more time to cook the rice through and used saffron.

Café Sevilla is top notch. The ambiance was great, the service was perfect, and the food was spectacular. We were served my Marianne. She is one of the best servers I know. Attentive, professional, and timely. She knew the menu and wine list inside out, gave good suggestions, and was always timely. She told me she’s been working there for 8 years. If she ever gets a job at another restaurant, I’ll be going there to eat. The food was perfect. We had the five course meal for two. Our choices: ceviche, flaming sausages, empanadas, paella, and fried custard. Everything was good, but the paella and flaming sausages really stood out. I’ll be back. You should eat here. Tonight. Say hi to Marianne for me.

This is the best restaurant for Spanish food. We were lucky enough to have authentic Spanish Paella and watch flamenco dance together. The server Marianne was excellent. She was very patient and introduced menu in details and made very useful suggestions for us. We were all so happy and had a very enjoyable Spanish food without going to Spain.

Love love love this place ! Weekend service and music is my favorite !! But this time I had to try the small bites lunch menu they have !! Five small Spanish bites and a baby green salad on the side with lavender lemonade was the perfect 45 minute lunch to have before heading back to work ! Thank you Sevilla and our wonderful server ally, who was all smiles this past Friday and very attentive !!!

Wife and I went there last weekend. Out server was Amanda. We got the 9 course brunch with sangria and the paella. The 9 course was brilliant. In total the food was enough for a 200 lbs guy and the wife to taste. So size was great. I won’t go into each course but they were delicious. All of them. Sangria was good and refills were quick. Paella was paella so it was awesome. Not overcooked which is the problem we have at other places. Not here. Kudos chef. Now time for the server. She was friendly. She was helpful in choosing our dishes and drinks. She was attentive. She gets a 5 star review herself. With the treatment and food, we will come back often.

Sometimes you go somewhere and the service is great but the food was terrible. This was the case at Café Seviila. We ordered a variety of foods. Scallops, that were over cooked and rubbery. It was almost funny what nonsense they served. The menu stated roasted veggies. And we were given deep fried Brussels sprouts. It wasn’t even hot! When I asked a question about this discrepancy the offered a new dish of veggies. It was a variety of veggies poorly cooked –mostly raw and seasoned in a way that made us gag. I am so sad to see the poor quality of food. I can continue to explain how embarrassing this experience was. But I left bitter. I wanted to entertain my guest with a nice meal. But the food we were served was hardly eatable.

Really great tapas and music. The atmosphere is soooo romantic and interesting. The staff is very friendly. Shannon was absolutely the best server ever. Right away we could tell she knew a lot about the menu and wasn’t faking through it. Her suggestions were very spot on, and I duly enjoyed everything served to us. Shannon even gave us a recipe for a chimchurri sauce I’m really excited to try at home! So make sure you sit in her section if you want the whole café Seville experience!

The dining experience at Café Sevilla was extraordinary. From the moment you step into the restaurant, you are immediately thrown into a Spanish style restaurant that makes you feel like you are in Spain. The service was excellent. We started with a picture of the sangria, amazing choice, you can’t go wrong with that. The food was also excellent, everything we ordered was delicious. We had the Spanish style sausage, empanadas and lamb chops, so good and flavorful.

Great Spanish flavour but little pricy and place nothing out of ordinary, best time is lunch as they give you more for your money, paella plates are ok, but a little small ‚… In overal maybe is because my mother is fully from Spain born, she has way better taste to Spain food

One of the worst restaurant experience I had ever. We called 15 minutes ago and asked them if we need reservation for lunch. They said no. We asked if there was any waiting. They said no. We got there less than 10 minutes after. There were 5 tables empty. Said we had to wait 15 minutes. It has been 20 minutes waiting, 5 tables are still empty and they are telling us to wait. If I had not bought a coupon almost a year ago I would have left and and gone somewhere else. This is not a way to run a restaurant. They wanted us to go wait in the bar.

Oh wow. What a cool experience. I love the concept of the restaurant and my group had a great time here. I saw other people on Unilocal who had the ceviche dish, it did not disappoint. We got the flat iron steak with Bleu cheese and red wine sauce for dinner, again excellently done. The atmosphere was wonderful, would be a great place to take a date. The service was fantastic and timely! Nick was our waiter, his recommendations were perfect. He was very personable and he really made our experience special. We will be back when we are in Long Beach again.

I went to Sevillas this past Sunday for Mother’s Day with my family(9 of us). I am going to make this short, 3 out of the 9 of us got sick. Now, I am not sure what we ate that made my Mom, Dad and myself sick but we had the«Mothers Day Special» which was a few platters of different foods. I got so sick, that Sunday evening. I came to work and lasted 2 hrs, I had to go home, my stomach was out of control, vomiting is not something I look forward to. First and last time here! Eating something bad can really fck you up, worst feeling ever!!! :( Today I am feeling a lil better and having soup :(… sorry for the bad review but that’s what reviews are for … #Being honest.

As great as it is, I try to avoid coming more than once every month or two, cause it is a bit splurgy, but I broke that rule this month — I was back again already precisely because I recommend this restaurant all the time to anyone that will listen, as this is probably my favorite restaurant in Long Beach… and one of the people I told recently, declares where a group I’m in that meets once a month after works, meets, and called it for Sevilla this month, which, I’m not complaining, obviously(though I would have been if it wasn’t during happy hour, which obviously it was). This was my first time with a large group(well, larger than«me and my wife»; it’s relative), and I’m happy to report that the service was excellent(granted — ~6PM on a Thursday, not the most crazy time, but still), and so was the food(though that part wasn’t surprising). Got to enjoy being the guy in the know, and ordered all the usual standards for the table, all as excellent as always(daily bread, tortillas espanola, patatas bravas, the blue cheese/bacon/dates, black paella, and the beef brocheta.) Did also order one thing I hadn’t tried before — the calamari, because while calamari is great, you can get great calamari loads of places, unlike most of the things I named. Which, that’s true, but on the other hand, their calamari *is* quite good(not that I expected otherwise). I did also confirm what I had heard when I asked last time: you *can* still order their mindblowingly-good chorizo and egg flatbread that isn’t on their regular menu anymore, and yes, it is still probably the best flatbread anywhere, ever(why the heck isn’t it on their regular menu? I don’t understand.) That said, we did also accidentally order an order of the almonds(it was supposed to be olives — wasn’t worth complaining about, probably just got misheard), which… they just taste like almonds you could get anywhere. Not quite sure why those are on the menu, or what’s special about almonds from, apparently, Marcona? Whatever. Everything else was fantastic. We also had the fun time of being a big enough group that we ordered a pitcher(!) of sangria, which everyone agreed was excellent(I knew that already — most of the group was new to Sevilla), then drank it all and ordered a second one(!!), which also disappeared quickly and was much enjoyed. One person did also try the barbacoa, which I *swear* wasn’t there last time?(It probably has always been there and I just missed it. I won’t be ignoring it now, though — I stole a sip, and wow. If you like spice in your cocktails… wow. That is a darn good margarita.) Everyone agreed that it was a little pricey(it was too complicated to do anything else, so we just split it evenly and it came to about 33 bucks a person after tax and tip), but totally worth it given the quality, and especially, also given how much *alcohol* was consumed(and the quality of said alcohol). I was happy to hear that — I’d have been sad if people didn’t share my opinion of its quality. ;) I know that group already has plans for Congregation next month(not complaining — that’s another quite solid choice, and a bit cheaper), but I’m pretty sure this won’t be the last time here for that group, either.(Hopefully next time everyone will show up more on time, and we can order one of those crazy kegs of sangria(barrel: $ 69) instead of a pitcher and then another pitcher, as I really just want to *see* one get drunk. :D)

My boyfriend and I have been here a few times and every meal had been AMAZING The bartenders really know their stuff and will cater your drink to your preferences, and the waitstaff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. Lindsey served us tonight and really made sure we were taken care of! If you’re in the area and want some excellent and authentic Spanish cuisine, this is the place to go!

Came here with a group of work friends for a birthday. We had a couple of orders of the paella, albondigas(meatballs), calamari, potato tart(tortilla espanola), and lots of sangria. The paella was delicious and tasty. And we all enjoyed the assortment of appetizers. With a Unilocal check in, you get a trio of appetizers. Service was friendly and attentive. Check it out.

This place is amazing. It is a touch of Spanish culture in the heart of Long Beach. First off, I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time, as the wait can get pretty long. This is especially true on the weekends. Parking is found in one of the the surrounding structures, and it is a short walk to the restaurant. The restaurant has an intimate low-light atmosphere, and they have live Spanish guitar bands playing. There is a sizable bar area as well, if you’re going there for only drinks. I like to get their seafood tapas platter. The portions here are huge! It has a wide assortment of seafood on a bed of rice. To drink, I like to order their house sangria. It is a bit sugary, yes, but it is delicious enough for me to make an exception. This is definitely a place to take a date. Dinner takes place on the first floor, and there is an upstairs portion with a dance club. I would definitely recommend this place for a touch of Latin flava.
