I’ve never had a bad time at Call Sick… I dig the Que Sera, I like the people who put this event on and I enjoy the music that they spin here. Sometimes they just have DJs and dancing and sometimes its just bands. I think they should focus on DJ stuff tho and dancing and do away with the weird indie bands that play crazy music and dont have any fans. Its fun tho — check it out sometime.

i did a review of this place under que sera. the bartenders are rude. the people are tring so hard to fit an electro mode, and the fog machine and disco lights, along with mirrors to look at urself while you are dancing couldn’t make this place any cheesier. and a $ 5 cover charge?! pshhhhhhhh…

CSOF isn’t like the other local clubs– what differentiates it from most other clubs is the intimacy. Most of the people there seem to know each other, since it’s heavily promoted through word of mouth. Everyone’s a friend of a friend here– a bit like the Cheer’s of nightclubs where everyone knows your name. The place is welcoming and not at all pretentious unlike most Hollywood clubs. and that seems to be the appeal. The people are friendly, and you’ll probably see familiar faces whether or not you planned to [if you’re from Long Beach]. It has a bit of a party atmosphere. Bands play here sometimes inbetween DJ sets. The music seems to be mostly indie/electro which is easy to dance to … before I discovered CSOF, I didn’t think that I liked dancing or clubs to be honest. One of the walls of Que Sera has a floor to ceiling, wall to wall mirror. it’s amusing to catch glimpses of yourself or other people watching themselves as they dance. Every wondered what you look like as you dance? The only complaint that I have is that the parking is a pain. It’s probably best to either walk or carpool to Que Sera, because finding street parking in the area is a hassle. Overall, the club’s highly recommended. It’s cozy and fun. I think it’s only on the first and the third of every Thursday night.
