Cinemark At The Pike

Ticket validation wasn’t working. Had to find staff to get validation. Said to use this make-​up ticket and if it didn’t work to come back. Ticket didn’t work. Cam back and employees had locked the doors and would just laugh anytime anyone came back to get proper validation. Lobby was full of employees just talking to each other and laughing anytime someone knocked on the door. One or two bad eggs sure, but the whole staff. What kind of management do they have that has the whole staff playing games with employees. Just bad, bad, bad.

This my second time here and things sure have changed. They have the cinemark chairs, which I thought it’s for the 3D movies only or you pay extra. Little did I know, we all get them! I think it’s more enjoyable that to be squashed right next to a stranger, unless you want a little something something with them.
It felt like I was home on the barker lounger with a humongous screen! I watched 13 hours in Benghazi, so you can only imagine the intensity of it.
Only problem was that the theater lights were flickering during the movie, so it’s like wth is going on? It happened a few times and it was annoying. It’s as if someone bumped or leaned onto the switch.
Other than that, the theater seemed quite clean and straight forward.

Way to go Cinemark At The Pike! I love the change over to the leather recliners and still pay matinée prices. I’ve been to other theaters that offer premium seating, but they hike up the price of the ticket significantly. I’ve always enjoyed going here to see movies and now I enjoy it even more. The place is always extremely clean and parking o’plenty in the structure where you can get validated parking.

Cinemark had begun its new plans on expansion and renovation, back in 2013 and into today. Long Beach’s Cinemark At The Pike Outlets received reserved seating, luxury loungers, and a retrofit with Dolby Atmos surround system in July 2015. And we received a bonus, of an upgraded version of DX large screens that show standard 2D and Real-​D 3D.

Let me be the first to say that their recliners are ON FLEEK! Cup holders and footrests. MY OH MY!
SWEAR, the movie can be rotten af but the seats will make up for it. If you’re one to put your feet up, go right ahead – without annoying the people in front of you! SWEET! That’s me, sometimes. It’s true what others say… the armrests do move up so you have the freedom of laying down. I don’t suggest it though. That’s actually uncomfortable for me, wth.
I might’ve came on a super slow day. Hence, customer service was excellent as you can walk around and find workers available to attend your every needs. Nonetheless, I love Cinemark! All the changes are pleasing everyone, finally bringing more business to this area.
Another GOODIE! ASSIGNED SEATS. reserve early and don’t even worry about arriving late!
It’s not the biggest theater but it’s new so everything is clean and looking good! That’s the basic info.

The staff ticket booth lady who is closes to the bathroom wouldn’t let a paid customer use the bathroom.
Hate to say it, she though I was trying to get in and watch a movie without paying! I think they should have better clear mind staff working there. If a customer tell you the other staff told the her to come over to your area to use the bathroom, because the other bathroom has a long line. You should believe the customer.
I always write positive review and review that helps the business.
Did spoken to all 3 of the mangers. Don’t know that helps, cause they said people trying to get in without paying. (All movie tickets are sold with select seating)
So, that makes me feel the place is very getlo.
Sadly to say, I’m unsure if we would be back again.

I decided to take myself to a movie here one Tuesday night.
I was quite surprised to find out that not only were tickets only $ 6.50, but that the entire theater went through a revamp and now has fancy recliner seats.
Nice!
There’s this whole «choose your seat and reserve it» thing when you pay, but really, it looks like seats are actually more open than they appear, in reality.
I’m a fan of this theater now, and look forward to seeing what else comes of it with the growth of the «outlets.»

On my day off, I had the opprtunity to view Ride Along 2. I enjoyed the a.m. showing because there is less of a crowd, the theater is clean, and the discounted tickets. Don’t forget to get your parking ticket valadated at one of their machines inside theater. The seats were totally comfortable and I just leaned back and enjoyed the show and of course my day off. Great Movie as well!

This theater was amazing! All I have to say is automatic recliner seats. That is an instant sell for me. It is so relaxing that I fell asleep for a few minutes while watching The Hateful Eight. Reserving seats online is a must which is convenient instead of having to get there early to stake out a primo seat. You can validate parking there although if you spend more than 3.5 hours there, expect to pay.

Wow! REALLY NICE CHAIRS! They upgraded their stadium chairs into first class airline you-​can-​lie-​down-​comfy-​couch.
It is just amazing and this is the way to go for movie theaters! Otherwise why would you go to the movie if you can seat at home with your comfy couch. Now no excuses! You can even sleep in this theater. Just don’t snore and ruin the sound effects for the others ! :)

Great seating. But they do not keep this place clean! The concession stand is always dirty and messy. It doesn’t matter what time of day you go or if they’re busy or not. After my 3^rd time there i couldn’t take it. I had to say something! I talked to a supervisor which was very apologetic however she kept making excuses. Basically her position was. «It’s gonna look like that when we are busy». Then she blamed it on Star Wars. saying that ever since Star Wars come out they had been extremely busy. The funny thing is. The day that I decided to finally complain, THEY WERE NOT BUSY! Once i said something, other people agreed. Then the staff that she said she didn’t have, all came out to clean up.

So it’s been a while since I been down to the Pike last time I was at Hooters which is now Nike and Hooters went across the street. And now Cinemark at the Pike wow very nice theater came here tonight to see Star Wars 3D nice recliner chairs very comfy lots of room to the seat next to you as well. Everything about this theater is pretty cool. Don’t forget to validate your parking ticket after the movie for me it was free and was there over 2 hours. Will definitely be back here to see another movie in the future probably the next Star Wars lol.

Most comfortable movie theater seating I have ever had the pleasure of placing my buttocks in!

OMG, who knew they upgraded the theater seating? I didn’t realize it had been so long since I came to this theater (2 toddlers, I haven’t seen a movie in years apparently) but wow, this theater is SOOOO nice!!!
I noticed on fandango that it was reserved seating, but there were only like 8 rows to choose from. I though that was weird, but I picked and moved on. When we got to the theater, to my absolute delight I discovered the hugest recliners. Like big giant (p)leather recliners with electronic controlled foot rests. Huge wide arm rests with cup holders big enough to accomodate any sized cup. The space per aise is massive, you could be fully reclined and someone can still walk by without you having to move an inch. It’s amazing.
The seats are set up in pairs, so if you wanna cuddle up, each set of 2 has the arm rest that will raise up. .but if you don’t wanna be so friendly, it’s still like 10 inches wide so you dont have to bump elbows.
This is now the ONLY place I want to see a movie. Enough to make me look past the pay parking and less than efficient lobby staff.

Whoa, what a difference a few months makes! Since they’re sprucing up the whole area they’ve upgraded the theater as well. Uh, power reclining seats with still-​low prices? Pretty dang cool. This is now my fave theater in Long Beach. I just hope they can maintain it!

Zero stars. Have been waiting in snack line for 20 minutes without moving. HORRIBLE. DIRTY, expensive. Absolute worst service.

I am changing my review from 4 stars to 5 stars since they have upgraded their seats. They have WAY less seats in each theatre than before, of course because they likely were rarely being used, but the seats are WAY nicer and more comfortable, and much more spacious, they recline with legs fully extended, and they are in sets of 2, so you can put the arm rest up and snuggle with your girl. in fact the seats are so large that you can actually have your girl sit in front of you in between your legs. The new seats definitely have improved my movie going experience. There is also a LOT more vertical separation between rows, so you will never have issues with someones fat head in front of you.
I still would not pay full ticket price, it’s just way too much IMO. but the $ 8 costco tickets are good, or $ 6 Tuesdays.

Saw Black Mass this afternoon. Johnny Depp and Kevin Bacon in one movie – woohoo!
Bought our tickets online, so easy! Didn’t have to wait in the long line, outside, in the heat – win, win! Then, the luxury lounges were heavenly! My friend and I want to go to Cinemark at the Pike, for all of our movies! Easy and comfy! All they need is cocktail service, please!

Overview: The Cinemark At The Pike is the only movie theater on the Rainbow Harbor on the shore of Long Beach, and lucky enough for us Long Beach residents, it provides a very good experience.
The Location: With close proximity to Cold Stone Creamery, views of the harbor, beautiful walkways along teeniebobber stores (like H&M), several nearby restaurants like PF Chang’s, and Hooters, and even a nearby ferris wheel, this location is hard to beat.
The Theater: Steeply tiered, reclining, pleather, comfortable seating to avoid «heads in your way», a nearby parking garage that’s affordable with validation (I paid $ 1.50 for 3.5hours) and pricing that’s in line with theaters at worse locations ($ 11.75 for a non-​3D adult Friday night ticket), this will definitely be an enjoyable experience. The fact that it’s also cheaper than the Edwards 26 in Lakewood makes it an easy decision for me when I’m looking to watch a movie.
The Selection: The only downside to this theater is that their selection is quite small. The cineplex is not very big with only 8 individual theaters operating at once, and they will often dedicate several theaters to new releases, making it hard to catch movies that have been at the box office for more than a month.
The Snacks: I haven’t bought anything from the concession stands yet so I can’t comment.
Conclusions: This Cinemark theater with its incredibly comfortable seating, its nice harbor-​side location, and its cheaper-​than-​Edwards pricing makes it a winner in my book. No, there’s no IMAX here, and yes, the neighborhood immediately north of it can get pretty shady at night, but as of now, it’s my pick.

Wow, I love this theater even more! Why? Because when I bought my movie ticket, the employee asked me where I wanted to sit… where? Alone in the corner near the aisle. But this is brand new. Because now you can actually choose where you want to sit and it is yours. X marks the spot where others have already chosen.

Another gal greeted me inside where my movie was showing and asked for my seat number. I like sitting up high and the seat I chose was perfect. The whole theater on the right side (the side near the game room) has been remodeled with these roomy, comfy, oversized leather seats and wide aisles. So much better! Almost feels like home without the blankie.
After the movie was over, I asked an employee when they finished remodeling this side of the theater and she said 2 weeks ago! But I wonder if the other half of the theater will be this way?
