My absolute favorite coffee and bagel place in Long Beach! If you have ever been in Europe you know that this is the only place where bagels taste like they are meant to taste! The family that owns this place is so nice and they really know their way around pastries! Their coffee? Amazing! Everything taste great. Always! I have never been disappointed and it is so much more affordable than Starbucks down the street and a hundred times tastier than Dunkin Donuts! Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed.

I really hate writing bad reviews but this one is a must. Went in for a cup of tea and a croissant. I asked for extra teabag for the tea I ordered. Man working the counter didn’t tell me that there would be any extra charge. When I went to pay he said that it was going to be five dollars for the tea and $.50 for the croissant. Five dollars for a cup of green tea with extra teabag is absolutely ridiculous. Starbucks doesn’t even charge for extra tea teabags. I would have had no problem with him charging me an extra $.50 or something. If he would’ve told me that it was going to be double the price I would’ve walked out sooner. Five dollars for a cup of green tea in a Styrofoam cup is absolutely ridiculous. Never going back. Did not look clean at all inside

My new favorite breakfast stop on my way to work! They have great breakfast sandwiches, and make delicious fresh squeezed OJ! They don’t carry decaf coffee, which is the only downer for me but the food is delicious! I highly recommend a visit. Support local businesses!

Ok I love the smoothies from this place, they’re affordable and not so sweet that they instill guilt. I hadn’t tried their sandwiches but I finally ordered their tuna sandwich on wheat. Pretty simple, didn’t see how it could be bad. When I opened the bag I saw that my sandwich had not been well wrapped and it was so huge I didn’t even want to bite into it! Just knew it as gonna fall apart, sigh* Ate like half of it and I was full. They’re generous with their tuna I guess, so go for it if you’re into that. Going back but only for smoothies and the random Mexican candy they sell there. Cute/Clean place!

Great breakfast sandwiches! The coffee is just average in my opinion. I would go to starbucks instead. I also tried one of their strawberry banana smoothies which was tasty but too much sugar was added.

This place has it all, it’s cheap, nice environment(for a small café at least), and the food is good. If your on a budget get the chicken sandwich combo, 2 chicken sandwiches and a drink for 3 dollars and it’ll fill you up. I also like the ham and cheese croissants and there deli sandwiches are good as well. I eat here a few times a week during the school year, never gets old.

How exciting it is for me to patronize an establishment that has a perfect score on the LB Health Dept’s inspection that is posted on the door! And I can see why it was a perfect score, this place was clean and organized. The ham and cheese croissant was perfect. The service was efficient and friendly. Yay! I’m a fan!

I’ve passed by this place a million times but never got myself to try it. I finally decided to try it after I had to get some stuff printed at the print place next door. I ordered a turkey croissant and a single white chocolate mocha. I was a little hesitant about ordering the coffee because at most non Starbucks places, their flavored stuff is usually bitter but the one at Daily Perks is delicious! I should have ordered the bigger size! Their turkey croissant was also delicious. They definitely did no skimp on the ingredients and what I loved most is the fact that they had pepperoncinis! I’ve heard that this place gets packed with high schoolers so the best time to go would be while they are in school or on the weekend. I definitely will be visiting this place again!

Great little mom and pop store with delicious sandwiches. Call in your order to save on time. Try the pastrami on a french roll. The french roll taste like its fresh out of the oven with a nice crispy outside and soft inside. The croissant sandwiches are also delicious. They do get a bit messy to eat since they are huge! I

Okay so I’m saddened that I can never go here again because it was the ONLY place I’ve ever been that had TURKEY& cheese croissants instead of ham. I ordered two chicken sandwich meals(comes with fries) for me and a friend, went to go put some ketchup on the sandwich, I flipped the bag on the wrong side so the bottom bun was up and was terrified to see BRIGHTGREENANDWHITEFUZZY mold. X. X I told the lady and she said she’d give us new ones but that was enough for me… I got a refund and booked it out of there. She gave the bags to her husband and they fix all the stuff in the back, I don’t think they realized I too spoke Cambodian, so when she said to look at the mold I could tell his response was highly annoyed and didn’t want to risk some special saliva sauce or booger seasoning. Contrary to what others have said here all of the pastries and goodies in the glass case are delivered from another company not made fresh there. I learned this when they ran out of said Turkey and Cheese croissants and asked how long it would take to make a new batch. She said they don’t make any of the stuff, just order it and get it delivered every morning. The t&c and h&c croissants are $ 2.50 and are pretty big. Will fill you up. They ask if you want it microwaved and it tastes much better that way. The cheese is melted and the croissant is warm and softer. Everything else is pretty average priced… $ 1+ muffins, large menu of coffee shop drinks(nothing special… sometimes the coffee tastes burnt and the flavors really artificial). They also have random crap for the Wilson High kids that are there before and after school. Bowl noodle, Takis, Mamba candy, nachos, hot dogs, etc. I guess if you’re going to get stuff from the glass case it’s okay since it’s delivered and not made there… but I don’t want to risk it anymore since they obviously let things go unseen enough in the back for their food to get moldy. Proper storage is not a rule here. Side tip: try to avoid going before wilson starts because that’s when you get a lot of them milling around. and DEFINITELY try to avoid going after school because it’s just a mass of them. they take forever to order, curse every other word, are inconsiderate and block the way/door and more than not they are high. probably dropping by to fix the munchies. i hear you can get free wifi here if their kid is working, just go up to him and ask for the pass code

This is my go-to place if I need a pick-me up and I’m headed eastbound on 7th, for the freeway. Choose from a long list of hot drinks. Coffee card; purchase 10 drinks, get the next one for free. They make their own croissants of various fillings. Can’t go wrong with chocolate. Aside from regular size, they sell the smaller size croissants for $ 1. The first time I ordered a hot drink, they were out of almond flavor. I made the mistake of asking for a hot coffee drink but not so sweet. I didn’t taste it till I was back in my car and it wasn’t sweet enough for my liking. Oh well, now I know not to ask that again. They share a small parking lot with a couple other businesses so it may not always be easy to find a spot. Lucky for me, I’m don’t drop by during peak hours. Smoothies, fresh juices, and sandwiches are also available. I try to support the mom & pop places over the chains when I can. You should too!

Good prices on delicious sandwiches and Thai Iced Tea(unfortunately no longer with Boba). I love to stop in on my lunch break, which unfortunately coincides with the Wilson High School kids hanging out en masse in the doorway…

Italian on a croissant… yum yum and the croissant is super fresh and flaky… they load it up with salami, cheese, lettuce, jalapenos and peppercinis… sprinkle with pepper and you’re good to go… they’ve increased the price on it lately so it’s way more than i remember it being They have excellent thai iced tea with boba too but they don’t always have fresh boba on hand

I discovered Daily Perks on my morning commute to work — and I often wake up early so I can go before I hop on the freeway. That’s saying a lot. Nothing special about the interior décor… But the croissants, freshly baked bagels, smoothies, and coffee are so delish and affordable — I just can’t stop myself! They also have Naked Juice! :) The owner is cool too, and seems to work really long hours to keep this place running. Give it a try — you won’t be sorry.

This place makes it worth-while to wake up early every morning. The deep rich coffee is always fresh, and they have a luxurious blend. The pastries are oven baked delicious. I highly recommend their flaky buttery croissants. In addition, their sandwiches are to die for. Definitely get your favorite deli meat on their crusty french roll. They also have a variety of smoothies that I find refreshing on hot summer days. The atmosphere is by no means another manufactured Starbucks or Jamba Juice locale. A remodel couldn’t hurt, but It’s got more of a local neighborhood vibe to it. They do have a ton of things, but you can’t go wrong with the coffee, pastries, or sandwiches. The service is always friendly, the wait is minimal, and the prices are decent. I highly recommend it.
