Discovery Preschool at LAUCC

We couldn’t be happier with the care and education our daughter is receiving at Discovery Pre-​School. She attends twice a week with Ms. Roxy and Ms. Susan and comes home singing new songs and even insists on leading before meal prayer with the blessing she learned at school! We’ve seen an improvement in her fine motor skills as well as a huge jump in her socialization. We will definitely be returning next year for 3-​day or 5-​day pre-​K and are so excited about her growth while at school. We love the small family atmosphere (3 classrooms, 3 wonderful teachers, 3 loving aides, 1 enthusiastic and hands-​on director) and the play to learn design. Discovery is a wonderful place to grow and learn!

This is exactly what I was searching for, when I had to find a preschool for my baby. The educators know all the kids name, and are always smiling. Plenty of activities, and games that keep them learning. My daughter goes to bed early when she knows school is the next day, and she loves her teacher Ms. Roxy. The director Ms. Maria is so hands on with the parents and the children. She loves her school and it really shows. My daughter loves it here and so do I.

My daughter has attended this preschool for two years and I couldn’t be happier with her experience there. It is a small school… three classrooms, three main teachers with 3 assistants; even so, I am always impressed by how much feedback I receive from ALL of the teachers there about my daughter as she interacts with all 6 teachers during her day. This is a developmental preschool so most of the day is spent in play – inside, outdoors in two different areas or during «room to roam» where they can go to any classroom and play – which I was looking for, but there is some academics as well. My daughter has truly blossomed given so much choice for how her day goes but also being challenged in developmentally appropriate ways. All of the teachers truly love and care for the children; it is a very nurturing, safe environment, and one my 2yo is already eager to participate in!

We really love this preschool. My 2^nd grader was there 3 years and our two younger ones are there now. What a great family environment! They love going to school and are upset when there are days off. The teachers and staff know all the children and take a genuine interest in their development.

We love this preschool! It is a traditional preschool and kids are allowed to PLAY. Wonderful learn through playing. What a concept! Highly recommend!

Both of my kids have attended this preschool. My oldest was there for two years and was last attended in the 2008 – 2009 school year. My youngest is currently enrolled in the two day a week class. I don’t have any complaints and both of my kids love the teachers. The teachers really do seem to care about your children. While the kids have a lot of fun they also learn quite a bit. Both of my kids really seemed to blossom once they started attending this school. My youngest will be attending this school next year for three days a week and the year after for five days a week.
