Went to Dr. Douglas today for a ongoing knee issue that has become more painful in the last week. I called yesterday asking for an appointment with any knee specialists as soon as possible. They got me one for today(so the next day) at a very early time. They warned me it would take up to 2 hours. I arrived early because I anticipated lengthy paperwork, which I finished by my appointment time. They took me back about 15 min after my appt time, reasonable. Initially went to get an x-ray. All the other physician’s patients who need x-rays waited here as well, so it took about 15 minutes to get that done. Then I waited for him for about 10 minutes to come consult me. Of course, the x-ray appeared normal, but my pain was not bearable. So we opted for the MRI test, which they conveniently set me up with one for about an hour later. Not bad, really, to have it done in the same visit. The MRI took about 20 minutes, and then I had to go wait for him again, which took another 10 minutes. Okay then he consulted me and finally found what was going on. He was thorough with the diagnosis and the possible treatments for me, and gave me a few options to pick from. So from 830am-1130am I was there and had two imaging procedures and saw him twice. I was happy of the availability of the x-ray and MRI in the building, and squeezing me in for the MRI didn’t seem like a hassle. All of the staff and technicians were super friendly. Dr. Jackson, he was nice but maybe a a tad-bit too serious and not enough enthusiastic. But that could be his bedside demeanor. The facility was clean, and large. Had physical therapy and dozens of patient rooms and x-ray and MRI if needed. But like I said, if you are in line for the x-ray or MRI, it takes awhile because every other person there is in line for it as well. Parking is $ 3 and you pay at the end.
