My insurance gave me several dentists to chose from. I showed up right on time for my appointment, a surly receptionist said I was late. I showed her my cell phone displaying the time. She argued that as a new patient I should have arrived 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. Which I could have done, if she had bothered to ask when the appointment was made…8 weeks previously. She gave me a clipboard, I filled all the pages out and then she had the nerve to tell me she’d made me an appointment in another several weeks. She was not willing for me to wait and be seen that day. I told her I’d wait since the dentist was several hours from closing. But the receptionist refused. Although I made an appointment with this guy in his Bixby Knolls location, I never actually saw him. I found a new dentist. I figure that someone who keeps rude incompetent staff isn’t very smart. I visited dental offices before choosing. No one else had mean sloppy staff representing them, but I eliminated one dentist with a dirty bathroom. It was not freshly messed up, but dust balls in the corner, cobwebs on the ceiling not cleaned in 30 days dirty. This was his offices private toilet, not the building superintendent’s responsibility. If a dentist keeps a bathroom dirty, he may not clean his dental tools and hands well.
