El Pollo Loco

I pass the restaurant on Anaheim and redondo to come to this one. The employees don’t treat you like aholes here. Elliot is very nice and accommodating.

This is the best El Pollo Loco ever! I eat at El Pollo Loco all the time all over the LA area and this one is hands down the best one I’ve been to. I’ve eaten here many times. Their staff is so friendly. It is clear that all of them love working here. Their food is consistently delicious and the best quality. No cutting corners here. The restaurant is always clean. Tables are cleared and the salsa and drink bars are always tidy. Thanks to the Long Beach El Pollo Loco for being so awesome!

GROSS! I only go to Pollo Loco occasionally (maybe 2 – 3 times per year) because they’re open late and close. This rating is not because I personally don’t care for Pollo Loco. It’s because of the absolutely disgusting food I was recently served. I ordered the chicken avocado burrito. I’ve had it before and it’s actually one of the only things I’ll eat here. First of all, the burrito was maybe half the size as it was the other times that I’ve had it. There was nothing chicken or avocado about it. It was dry as can be. Of course it’s made using the same tortillas as when they were bigger so it was mostly a bunch of tortilla. At one point I had a bite of folded up tortilla which after being chewed was like eating paste. I had to spit it out (I know, TMI). In the end, I spent over $ 9 for a disgusting burrito that was about 40% tortilla and bottle of water, spit half of it out and was left grossed out & still hungry. I ended up going somewhere else which I wish I had done in the first place. I WILL NOT GO BACK AGAIN.

We went to this El Pollo Loco last night around 8pm and the service was terrible. I ordered $ 41.00 worth of food and when we got to the window they didn’t have it right and didn’t give me my drink I had to ask for it. When I got home they didn’t give me my extra chicken for the tostada salad and no dressing at all. I had to go back and get all the items I wasn’t given. By this time it was so late and I was starving.
To top it off the work area where the food was being prepared was disgusting. There was food everywhere and the floor was filthy. No one knew what I was talking about and I had to get very angry with the girl working there. They finally gave me the food and I was able to go home. I will never come to this one again. It was filthy.

The Crazy Chicken is another alternative for fast food. However, let’s be honest here, if it has a walk-​up counter and drive-​thru then it is fast food. But hey, this is better than eating sandwiches, burgers, and fries.
The Crazy Chicken offers a variety of chicken entrees catered towards individuals and families. The chicken is cooked on an open flame which leaves that awesome crisp taste that isn’t quite BBQ but nonetheless, still good. There are so many options when it comes to chicken dishes and The Crazy Chicken offers just that… Burritos, Salads, Quesadillas, Tacos, and Bowls. While most places have the traditional sides (Mac & Cheese, Potatoes, Fries, or Coleslaw), The Crazy Chicken has those plus an additional six.
If dieting is your thing, then try the Under 500 Calories menu. The good thing about this menu is that it is not limited to salads.
The employees at this location are great. They are always accommodating when I ask for the impossible in the drive-​thru (A bag of cilantro, 6 avocado salsas, 4 pico de gallo, 3 hot salsas, extra cilantro dressing and onions).
So is El Pollo Loco… Crazy You Can Taste? Yes
Can fire-​grilled chicken be this good? Double Yes!
Side Note: I like the option of corn or flour tortillas.

By far my favorite el pollo location hands down. The customer service is way above average at this location, the workers even come around to your table and give you mints. Multiple occasions Elliot (one of the workers) has went around to customers to make sure their dining experience was going well. If I could I would give them more than 5 stars! Keep up the good work.

I come here every 2 months or so, and the people who work here tend to be very friendly and try to personal in a food service kind of way. Sometimes you’ll find a bad shift with a lot of new people or someone who clearly has a stick up their butt about something, but that can be said for a lot of places.
When they’re a little busier than they want to be, they make mistakes and get customers (and then themselves) frustrated. My less than good experiences have happened during the dinner hour.
Today I got avocado tacos with no avocado on them… I obviously didn’t ask for that omission, in fact that’s why I got those tacos was for the avocado. So I’m pretty sad about that. That’s why the 3 stars.

Not real happy about the removal of the crispy chicken tacos from the menu, I’m told they did it for «healthy «reasons. So, it’s okay to serve me a deep fried churro or deep fried tostada bowl, but not a crispy taco. Thanks for helping me make good food choices Big Pollo. Bastards!
The salsa bar: avocado salsa, still great, salsa roja had some bitter metallic tastes in it. Nasty !
Pick de gallo was green from the cilantro, I hope, and full of un-​ripe tomatoes. The house salsa was made with the same crappy tomatoes. How is it that in the middle of the tomato season, El Pollo Loco cannot manage to find ripe tomatoes?
I can understand trying to leverage health and wellness, and EPL does a decent job for such a cheap price. You get what you pay for here. The soft chicken tacos used to be .99 a few years ago, now @ $ 1.49, 30 grams of chicken and 2 x .03 tortillas not such a great deal.

LOVE THIS PLACE! I come about once or twice a month to order a yummy chicken tostada for myself and a two piece meal for my boyfriend. The chicken is always cooked perfectly and very fresh. The staff is always very friendly and they are happy to answer any questions about the menu.

Alex took my order today and he was great! Great example of spectacular customer service! 5 stars because of him!!!

Great customer service and food is wonderful. No complaints on my end. The cashier was very friendly and nice, I think he said his name was manny! Great service!

I’m glad that I read reviews for the local EPL locations before choosing one. I love EPL and have been to at least a dozen locations over the last decade and this one is, by far, the best. I would never review a fast food place because… why? But, seriously, this one deserves it because the staff here is so ridiculously nice that I cant help but leave with a smile.
The food isnt any better than any other location. Ive found them to all be close to the same, quality wise, but the service is what sets this one apart from the rest. There is a girl there that works the drive thru in the evenings and she is a total sweetheart. Always cheerful in a genuine way and makes you feel like she really cares about your experience. I also got the same vibe from two guys working the counter in the afternoon. Just a great group of people all around. I purposely drive out of my way to go to this location over the others.

I love chicken! Everything about it is great. El Pollo Loco knows how to make it perfectly. Which is why chicken is probably the one thing that’s keeping me from turning into a vegetarian.
Every time I visit the soap oil Loco during my lunch, are usually encounter the manager taking orders. They are great here, always willing to give a hand to the other staff and make the customer service experience that much better.
My favorite item from here? I’d have to say the three-​piece combo, with all thighs. It’s perfect, juicy, and delicious. It always comes out super hot and ready to eat.

El Pollo Loco is a good restaurant. It is a cheaper alternative to healthy places. I have found that this el pollo loco in particular is one of the better ones. I used to always order the Tradicional Burrito, but they removed it from the menu for some reason. But now I custom order it and they always remember. I give this place 5 stars because it is a good el pollo loco.

I’ve been to more than a few El Polllo Loco restaurants near the Long Beach area, this being the best one by far up to now.
Please keep in mind that 99% of the time I use the drive thru as I prefer to enjoy this deliciousness at hone. So here we go, first the young lady who helped me out on the other side of the mic was super friendly and most of all appeared to be genuine, even when I asked her to make sure to give me a whole lot of extra salsa. I make the salsa reference because I usually order between two and three family meals and sometimes some extras, so I expect to be given as much salsa as I want!
Second not only did the young lady have a small bag with approx 20 salsa containers but she asked if I needed more!!! I was beyond happy and of course I said yes to the extra salsa and the young lady happily put another bag with my order.
Lastly, the wait time was super fast, I waited about 5 minutes and the food was ready when I got to the window… I know its not always going to be the same. However, first impressions are ever lasting!

Went in for a quick lunch and unfortunately was delayed. For some reason, the 10 people who ordered after received their lunch before I did. They were really nice when I complained and eventually got my lunch to me.
I ordered the chipotle burrito for the first time. I have to say I was really surprised. Really tasty. I will be ordering it again.

–Our order: Tostada salad (my fav) with creamy cilantro sauce, 2 pc combo meal (Chicken breast & side of fries, rice), warm tortilla, fresh salsa, Taco el Carbon, chips & guacamole.
I am also a huge fan of their salsa bar, always fresh and unlimited!
–Coupons: They send very good coupons by mail, so always keep them and use them when I need to!

1.Don’t throw the receipt away, the receipt has a survey code which gives you a $ 1 off .
2. Rewards: Sign up for My Loco Rewards and get a coupon for free chips and guacamole and coupons during your B’days.
Overall this is our go to place for Mexican spicy fast-​food!

I really like El Pollo Loco. I’ve been to many other like-​kind fast-​food restaurants and I always come back here. The chicken is amazingly moist. Even the breast is juicy… lol. Get your minds out of the gutter! My son absolutely loves the skin… what can I say, he’s got some Filipino blood. And the mac&cheese? He’ll eat an entire large side of it if I don’t watch him.
I like to shred the chicken and pour the house salsa, so simple but delish, all over the chicken. I’m not a big fan of tortilla, but I must say, their corn tortilla is pretty darn good when I’m in the mood to eat it.
The staff is always friendly and the service is normally pretty quick. Definitely will keep coming back!

We came in here to get food for a potluck (yes, I am tooooo lazy and tired to cook for 10 people on a Saturday afternoon — lol).
We got a «meal deal» that fed about 10 people. It came with lots of chicken, 3 sides, tortillas, and since we were taking it to go, the girl there gave us a ton of plates, utensils, and napkins. We also added tons of salsa from the help yourself salsa bar! The food came out FAST and I think it was about $ 30 — — which is a great deal considering how many people we were planning on feeding.
The food was good — — I ended up having three tortillas right away and they were soft and very good.
The inside of the store was neat and clean, but older. The staff was helpful and friendly and very accommodating. It would have been just one more plus if the girl who took our order KNEW what came with our meal. When I asked her how many tortillas came with it, she told me three. I said — three tortillas to feed 10 people? And she said — oh, I think it comes with six. I told her that we needed more and to please add some on. When we got to our potluck, we had, as my hubby put it, a s**tload of tortillas. Clearly, either the girl didn’t know what she was talking about or we got part of someone else’s order… still not sure what it was.
That being said, I would definitely come back here and get food for a potluck again. It was fast, easy, and very convenient. (:
