First time here and I gotta say that despite the endless combinations of ice cream with Italian ice you can enjoy, the ladies at the counter were more than willing to give me their personal recommendations and 4 free samples. I ended up keeping it simple and got a small passion fruit Italian ice with vanilla. Personally I like how it tastes like guava. My partner had a mixture of flavored Italian ice that tastes like skittles. For those that have a sophisticated ice-cream palate this place mixes up to 4 flavors. Summary Judgement: if you’re looking for a good alternative to froyo with good customer service then this is the place to come.

Frost Bites is a delicacy from the highest level of heaven. The flavor gods have blessed this place with flavor so powerful and satisfying that it leaves your taste buds crying from longing. Sour Gummy Worm, Mango Pineapple with Tajin, and Red White and Blue are the go-to. Better than Ritas and Joes.

Yum! I feel way less guilty about eating this than ice cream. There is always a variety of flavors and the employees are so sweet and friendly! I almost get my ice cream fix after eating all the samples they offer. Be sure to check Groupon for this place! I’ve been seeing them a lot on some deal sites. I always order the sorbet cream here and am never disappointed.

I’ve heard people rave about this place. I can see why. My suggestion is to get the SORBETCREAM. Select the various Italian ice favors to mix in with the frozen custard. I believe it’s a maximum of 4 flavors that you can mix together. Don’t know what to mix? Ask for suggestions. They’ll be able to give you samples. Small is large enough for one person(maybe even two small children). Located on the 2nd floor of Del Amo. No line during Monday early afternoon.

Wow. At first I thought this place sells slurpee ice cream until my friend suggested that I would try it. I was kinda skeptical at first but I might a well try something new. I went it and tried many samples of their Sorbet Cream which was actually bomb. It was vanilla ice cream with mixed flavors of sorbet. The worker their made so many combination that I had trouble choosing which flavor I want. In the end, I got the sour gummy work which was a favorite. It wasn’t sour but it really did taste like gummy worms. I would recommend to newcomers to try the Sorbet Cream. Overall, I would come to this place when I’m in a mood for some ice cream.

Sweet girl working the night my roommate myself and our friend came in. I’ve only been once before a long time ago and our friend had never been. I pretty sure we sampled everything and she was totally cool with it. I went with the passion fruit sorbet cream and do not think I’ll ever get anything else! So good!

This place is good for desserts. I really like their passionfruit and mango w/vanilla custard. Mmm. So delicious and it’s one of my favorite. I also like to get their crepes! I got it with powder, strawberries, nutella, and whip cream. I like my crepes pretty plain too though! There’s also a groupon deal for this place so if you see it, you should totally get it! I believe it’s $ 5 for $ 10 worth of food. Basically half off! Anyways, this place is alright. I like it but I wouldn’t come here often. Only when I crave it or when my friends want to come here.

First time here. Heard it was famous. That ice cream is rich and flavorful. I got orange and strawberry lemonade. I never get tired of orange creamsicle. Taste of nostalgia. Good quality ice cream and wonderful service. She bombarded us with samples and awesome recommendations. I was already set on orange cream but the combination samples were good too. Need to come back for more. The crêpe seemed slightly pricy to me with $ 1.00 toppings. Haven’t tried it yet.

I love this place! Who’d have thought that such a simple but amazing idea can bring you back the good ol childhood memories of Big POP popsicles(pineapple and cherry), or caramel apple lollipops(Salted caramel, green apple). The creaminess of the soft serve just melds so well with the sorbet. The staff is always super friendly, and also have excellent suggestions for those who don’t know what to start off with. They even will keep a to go order aside in a fridge if you are hanging out with your peers a bit longer. I keep coming back for more, and i keep introducing this place to others. Seems like the flavors change from time to time as some of the flavors mentioned in previous Unilocal reviews are not available when I went. but still can’t wait to see what other flavors this place will offer.

It’s hard to beat this place when it comes to frozen delights! They have a lot of flavors including classics such as strawberry. You’re allowed to mix up to 4 flavors which is perfect for those who are indecisive. I got vanilla ice cream with the flavors strawberry, blue raspberry, horchata, and orange. Their sizes are perfect after a dinner date. It’s a must try!

5 stars given based on customer service! I mean, the frozen snacks are delightful but the staff is always so welcoming and willing to create and give samples! It really makes it a fun experience and the flavor combinations are endless! I tried the crepes once and they were OK. I had the blueberry pie filling and it was a bit too sweet for me so next time I’ll probably do nutella instead. Favorite flavors here are: Orange creamsicle Taro and peanut butter(I know, it sounds weird) Cherry and pineapple and orange creamsicle

I gave to say Frostbites is growing on me. I prefer it over Rita’s and other places as their ice is softer and not as artificial in taste. Service is super nice, they encourage you to sample and offer different variations, I went with mango and vanilla custard and it was super tasty and refreshing. Prices and portions are fair, the store is not super fancy but clean. Nice stop in the area and perfect on a hot day!

Pregnancy cravings: Satisfied! The workers here are very friendly. I havent been here during busy hours, but I would assume they’ll be just as quick and friendly. We had: Pumpkin and Horchata ice over vanilla ice cream Crêpe sprinkled with cinnamon and filled with Cheesecake, strawberries and NUTELLA! The 3 of us(plus 1 in the belly) were completely satisfied. So delish!

I absolutely lovee Frostbites! If you haven’t tried Frostbites before, you’re missing out. I had my first taste of Frostbites back at their Cerritos location, but since I frequently go to Long Beach now to take my sister to school, I’m able to swing by the LB location whenever I’m around. Getting a cup of their sorbet cream seriously makes me so happy! Frostbites specializes in Italian ice mixed with the most amazing ice cream custard I have ever tasted. Of course you’re able to get a cup of pure Italian ice(sorbet chill), or you can order the ice cream custard by itself. But if you want to get a true taste of why Frostbites is so amazing, I highly recommend the sorbet cream — ice cream mixed with any combination of Italian ice that you want! If you’re new to the Frostbites experience, the staff at every location welcomes new guests with open arms, encouraging all sorts of samples and concoctions that you won’t even remember what you’ve tasted and/or liked. The line can get super long because of the whole taste testing experience. They usually serve one party at a time, so be prepared to wait for awhile if you come in during busy hours. Their flavors of ice changes regularly(with some that are seasonal), but they also have a few standard flavors that are always present. I really like the Sour Gummy Worm — all of the sour flavors of ice with vanilla custard — as well as the blue raspberry and raspberry with vanilla custard. If you’re craving something sweeter, taro and coconut with vanilla custard is also a good combination. I feel like you can’t go wrong with the combos at Frostbites because everything tastes so good! The custard is the best part in my opinion — it’s not thick like ice cream, but is just heavy enough to feel substantial. It’s really creamy and smooth, with the perfect amount of sweetness that mixes amazingly well with the ice. I think what I really like about this location of Frostbites is the workers’ superb service. They seriously make you feel like you’re the most important customer in that store while talking to you. I had somebody help me who really put a smile onto my face just by the way he talked — he was that excited about helping me find flavors I would like. tl;dr — MUST try the sorbet cream. Frostbites definitely outshines Rita’s Italian Ice! Vanilla custard is amazing. Price of a small sorbet cream is around $ 3.50, not too bad. They accept credit cards and also have stamp cards! If you’re craving something even sweeter, they also serve crepes.

Seems like the perfect place to visit on such a hot day. Was happy to try this place out for the first time! When we walked in we were greeted by the employees who were overly excited to give us dozens of samples. Even after I made my decision… they were still eager to make me try all the flavored before making what I asked. Haha hard to complain about free samples, I know. Other than that the ice cream and sorbet was great. Perfect fix for a hot day.

Came here for the first time with some friends from school. Service was awesome. The girl behind the counter was extremely excited to create endless flavor combinations for me and one of my other friends to try since it was our first time. I was blown away how spot on the flavors were. I went with the«Reese’s peanut butter cup» which literally tastes like a peanut butter cup! One of my friends got«captain crunch berries» and it was soooo good. They also have a crêpe station and the crepes smelled amazing. Can’t wait to come back and try more flavors. P. S. Make sure you get a punch card if you plan on coming back

A Unilocaler recently asked me how I thought Frostbites compares to the other ice+custard places that I love. I hadn’t tried this version. So, to round out the ice+cream experience, after a meeting in Long Beach, I dropped into Frostbites. Since the concepts are all so similar, the taste, variety of flavors, and consistency of the ice are what sets each place apart from the others. As I kept my eye on these features, I began sampling a few flavors. Gone are the days of the small spoons with tiny tastes of ice. At Frostbites, each sample consisted of a tasting cup filled with custard, topped with ice, and then mixed together. After tasting several of the favorite flavor combinations, I started getting full. So, I chose a combination that I thought would work for me. But, before she made it for me, she gave me a sample of it just to ensure that I would enjoy it. You’ve got to love this customer service! Pineapple, coconut, passionfruit, and strawberry were scooped on top of vanilla custard in a small dish($ 3.50). Frostbites’ ice was noticeably«icy» and a little grainy. It lacked the smooth, soft texture of other ices. Also, the ice and custard were not layered. So, once I finished the ice, I was left with just vanilla custard… boring! I love dessert, I love frozen custard, and I love icees. So, I really can’t go wrong in a place like Frostbites. But, if I had a choice, I would probably choose other places that are similar in concept to this.

Customer service is always great at this particular frostbites! I always leave satisfied when I make the drive down here. Ask for different combinations of sorbet cream! The workers are so friendly and make the best sorbet creams and crepes! Try the Flintstones push pop or the sour gummy worm sorbet cream! Those are my favorites! I always buy sorbet cream pints and take it home and freeze it. It still tastes bawmmmbbbbb. :) Also TRYTHEIRCREPES even though they’re known for their sorbet creams! Theyre just as good for dessert and it won’t disappoint. And it’s cheap too!

Frostbites treats are delicious as always but what stands out about this place is how wonderfully welcoming the staff are. They cant wait to offer you samples and really encourages you to try everything you want before making a decision. Gabe helped us out. He was happy to make recommendations and generously offered us many samples with smiles and enthusiasm about their products. You can get up to 4 flavors per scoop. I went with Taro, Lychee, and Coconut Cream. I really liked the shreds of coconut within the Coconut Cream and the Lychee flavor had bits of real lychee pieces. The added texture made the Italian ice even more enjoyable. They have a punch card to reward frequent visits and after 10 stamps you get $ 2 off. Personally, I think the reward program is lame because all the treats are at least $ 4. You can at least give someone a free small size Sorbet Custard after completing the stamp card.

I love this place! Located at the traffic circle in LB where In-N-Out and Polly’s next door to Marshall’s, Frostbite is an adorable dessert shop that serves cool fresh and refreshing icy cold flavored desserts. The staff are so nice and friendly. This place is a hit in my sweet tooth book! There’s plenty of parking outside of the shop, but it can get crowded on a busy day with the other establishments around. Ask for the punch card.
