Gary did my hair. He is extremely personable and made me feel so comfortable, like an old friend. I just get a cut from time to time and he is always so nice and does an excellent job.

Anissa helped do my hair and was super awesome ! She was nice and professional! Would recommend her !

I had cut my daughters Ethnic hair I did a bad job thanks to Gary made it look wonderful again I love my spiral perm I won’t be going anywhere else!

Mallory is my regular hairstylist. When she relocated to this place, I had to come with her and I have to say that I love it there! The salon is clean, cute and is in a great location.

Mallory is the best! She did a really pretty balayage and cut and I am really happy with both. I showed her photos of a combination of what I wanted and she did exactly that.

A friend recommended I go here to see a specific stylist. I called to make an appointment with her to find she no longer works there. So since the place had a lot of great reviews and Jenn, who answered the phone, was so nice I decided to give it a shot anyway. I had hey specific style in mind, involving colors which I had never done before, and she had me text her pictures of the style I want and my current hair and told me she could do it.
I went in and she had the prettiest pink hair herself so I felt pretty confident. She mixed up the right colors and it came out absolutely perfect. That was this past Thursday. It’s now Saturday, and strangers have already stopped to tell me that my hair is beautiful, gorgeous, sexy, and even «the prettiest hair in America.» I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
Jenn was also really nice about the fact that my exclusively breast-​fed seven month old had to come with me since I was there for a few hours. She definitely has earned herself a new regular customer.

I made a huge mistake and tried bleaching my hair at home and of course it came out horrible! So I called G&G studios the next morning and they squeezed me in right away! The atmosphere was very professional and friendly. They even offered yummy snacks. Anisa was the one that helped restored my hair and made it look amazing! She was very relatable and genuine. I hope to come here soon, I really want the purple for my next hair adventure. =)

To start, I have very difficult hair to work with and its extremely hard to find a hair stylist I like. My hair is fine, curly, and easily damaged. The last stylist I went to wasn’t for me, so trying out a new salon can be scary.
I set up my first visit for a Saturday, but needed to reschedule and they were more than accommodating. I was set up with Gary, who even offered to stay late to work me in. I came in for color and cut and Gary is amazing! He is very welcoming and friendly, and he knew exactly how to handle my hair. He picked he perfect color to match my skin tone and got rid of the awful bleach job I had done previously. I’m very happy with the out come, which does not happen often.

Had a horrid experience, they were nice but Kevin did a BAD job on my hair, Gary the wonderful owner was kind enough to refund my money, I promptly went to another salon and they did exactly what I wanted NO problems no lightening was needed I don’t have patches of gray and it’s not faded anywhere. I wish them well but it’s not for me.

I am so thankful and happy I could cry. I called Saturday evening for a last minute bang fix. I had chopped my hair way too short in one section on the side of my face (thankfully not the front of my face) and GARY was amazing. He knew exactly what happened and how to fix it and made sure I knew what his process was. So thank you! You saved the day!

Only started coming here because of JACKIE. Whenever she does my hair I get tons of compliments on the color and style. This last time she colored my hair and recommended product and when I went to Vegas that weekend 3 people asked if I had a Brazilian Blowout. I said, nope! Just a fantastic hairdresser! Highly recommend for color and if you are considering a style change. She will tell you how it is and not do anything that’s you will regret!

Jackie has been coloring and cutting my hair for a few months now and I highly recommend her! She is professional and makes great suggestions for color and cut style. I have had so many compliments on my cut/​color! And G & G Studios is a great gem in Bixby Knolls — really glad to have this studio in our neighborhood!

I have never liked my hair this much. For the first time in my life, I actually enjoy going to the salon AND I can actually recreate my hairdo after washing it. It is really incredible. I went to Jackie after a friend recommended her. The first visit was for a keratin treatment only, as I had a regular stylist that I had been using for years. I now go to Jackie for keratin, color, and cuts. Jackie will get you in and out quickly, she is very stylish, and she has a great work ethic. The salon is very comfortable, and the staff is great. Gary is a sassy little sweetheart and keeps the salon very well cared for. Give Jackie a try — you will be so happy you did.

Kind of hard to give a review on performance when they don’t do ‘ethnic’ hair.

G&G studios is great with such a friendly staff.
But JACKIE is absolutely amazing! I am an asian girl with natural dark dark brown hair. I decided I needed change in my life and I wanted my hair blonde and short! Jackie listens to what you want and tells you if it would look good or bad on you which makes her soo real! I was very hesitant at first but she told me to go for it. I am truly grateful for her advice, skills, and patience because I completely 100% in love my hair now! Jackie will have my business for life!

My husband and I moved here from San Francisco 8 months ago and I was in need of a new stylist! I’ve always been super scared to get my hair messed up but I finally found THE salon for me here in LB. My stylist is Jackie and not only did she do an amazing job, she was super friendly and entertaining! Super easy to talk to! She took a quick look at the picture I provides and she already knew what I wanted! Gary is also awesome! The environment at this salon is very warm and welcoming! I’m definitely coming back:)

I have been going to Jenn for years, she colors and cuts my hair! Although I have gone to her at other salons in the past, g&g is my absolute favorite! Such a great ambience, the salon owner is just a sweet heart! I love the set up, the products and my final style!

I absolutely love this place! I just got my hair done (color, cut, and style) and am extremely satisfied. It came out better than I wanted it to be!
Jackie did a wonderful job! She carefully listens to what you want and thoroughly explains what she will be doing to your hair before the process! She’s super friendly and always keeps up a conversation. I naturally have dark black hair but that wasn’t a problem for her to make it blonde. She actually takes time to do your hair and is very precise! If you go, I definitely recommend Jackie! You will not regret it.

From the moment the phone was answered to book my appointment to when I paid for my cut, it was all great service. They were friendly, polite and genuinely interested on making sure I got the style I wanted. Shawna was the one to cut my hair, told her what I wanted my hair to look like and let her do her thing and it came out great! Love my hair. You guys are fantastic! I’ll be going back. Yay!
