I’ve been seeing Dr. Ochsner for at least 8– or 9 years… initially for his specialty as an allergist, but he is just so wonderfully ‘old-fashioned’(in every best sense of the word), that I adopted him as my Doctor of Record through my several changes of health insurance. Dr. Ochsner is straight out of ‘central casting’ for the quintessential small-town physician… a slightly-gruff, non-nonsense exterior cloaks a compassionate, ‘the patient comes first’ medical mind. He takes as much time as he needs with each patient(so don’t get crabby if the prior patient’s appointment runs a little long — you’ll get full service at your time-slot — we current patients accept this). His charming wife runs the office & billing, and treats the patients like long-time friends(which many of them are). His office can be a little hard to locate — it’s on the ground-floor, south-east corner of a stocky little medical arts building on the east side of Bellflower Blvd — about 1−½ blocks north of the 405 fwy.
