I am very happy that I found this office, and especially happy that I found Lluvia.
Originally, I was with another firm for many years and they are usually helpful to me every year. However, even though I went to them earlier, they stated they would not be able to finish my taxes by April 15. I was very disappointed as I had informed them that I needed it as soon as possible because my daughter needed the income tax for financial aid.
It worked out for the best because I was forced to seek help elsewhere. I searched through Unilocal and made several appointments. However, as soon as I found Lluvia, she made me feel very welcome as she was very professional while listening to my concerns. I have a complicated tax situation as I different investment properties, option trading, as well as different lines of income. She asked the right questions and streamlined my answers into a very quick and painless tax return.
I am thankful for meeting her and I will definitely be back for years to come. I highly recommend! EXCELLENT SERVICE!

I hired Holmes and Associates a few years ago and since then they have passed me around to several accountants, dropped the ball several times, haven’t responded to me regarding notices from the IRS for tax years they prepared and simply treat us like we are not a priority. Please do yourself a favor and do not do business with Holmes and Associates.

Disappointed with the services! When I called for questions or concerns there were times when I did not get a call back for days and after several attempts and finally speaking with someone they were more concerned on selling me other services that they provide rather than finishing what I hired them for. In my opinion dealing with 3 people and not just an CPA is way to much and gets confussing. I was also cut off unexpectedly from speaking to the accountant that I was dealing with because they wanted more money. Needless to say I felt betrayed and scammed. Not worth the 3k we paid. Had to hire another CPA… BEWARE it’s all good in the beginning.

So disappointed. They told me they filed my S Corp election in January, I called IRS, they never received anything. Then again, the firm said they refiled in March, I called IRS 3 months later, still nothing. Asked them to give me proof of filing, so I can send it to IRS, never received a response. Now I’m stuck in the middle, trying to explain to IRS why it hasn’t been filed yet and have to hire a new CPA to fix this mess, so I don’t end up paying a huge tax bill this year. The people are nice and I had high hopes, unfortunately they left me in a difficult situation.

Called today to schedule a basic tax service. Quotes start @ $ 500 for prep services. I’m sure the value is there for more complex cases, but not for a basic filing.

The fact that Holmes & Associates has been around forever should speak for itself, but in case it doesn’t, you should know this: the staff is honest and ethical (if you’re not, look elsewhere), excellent service at a more than reasonable price (you’re getting WAY more than you pay for) and they help you understand your finances (2+2=4). Sara Frechette will see to it that you are taken care of, and especially during tax time, that makes all the difference in the world. Sara and Holmes & Associates are the absolute BEST!!!

Larry (Holmes) is the man. He is easy-​going, honest, ethical and was very easy to work with. This is the first year I’ve had him prepare my taxes and I preferred him over my last 2 accountants. He answered any questions I had without getting overly complicated and I left without any uncertainties about everything being complete and getting as much money back as I could.
