I cannot recommend Dr Joy strong enough, she put my stomach back together after I had ugly scars left from my near death with diverticulitis that left me with a inch wide and 8 inch long scar and 2 bellybuttons (one was a deep divot above my original bellybutton) I interviewed two other doctors before I met her. One was the head of plastics at Kaiser (my insurance) after waiting 45 minutes in his office he spent 10 minutes with me and said there was very little that could be done. He could open me up, but the new scar could spread and end up looking similar to what I had. I should just learn to live with it. Not the news I wanted to hear at all.
The second Dr I saw said he could fix it and wanted to preform it in his office and then send me home the total time spent with him was 20 minutes. He also wanted $ 9,000
Then a girlfriend of mine raved about her doc, Dr Connie Joy, who did her breasts, nose and and neck. She looked amazing after. Dr Joy was in Long Beach which was a little drive but so worth it. Dr Joy spent 1 hour and 40 minutes with me, explained everything that she needed to do to give me the best results. She is very detailed in explaining what she needs to do, which I love. She showed me before and after pictures and said that she would feel better if I spent the first night in the hospital because of my past medical history. She had my well being as a priority. When I asked her what percent improvement I could expect, she confidently %80, I knew I had found my Dr.
My surgery went great! Its 3 weeks later and I can already tell the results have exceeded my expectations. She said the scar couldn’t look any better. I am soooo happy… I’ve found the Dr to keep me looking fresh down the road. Thank you again Dr Joy and the wonderfully charming Evelyn.
