I live just down the street and Lily’s is my go to. The BBQ pork sandwich is amazing as well as the fish balls and pretty much everything else. You can get two sandwiches, blended drinks with boba(like Thai tea, iced mocha, etc) and two orders of fish balls for around 13 – 14. For two people! The ladies are very friendly.

This is where I usually go when I’m passing through the east side of Long Beach and through Cambodia town. You cannot go wrong with the price. I don’t order anything from the buffet but I love their desserts and vermicelli food-to-go. They also make fresh Durian and Avocado smoothies. I love the fact that they can make my vegeterian Vietnamese style sandwich with croissant. Not a great location due to a number of transient people asking for money, not food. Otherwise, parking is okay.

Went in again to get water??? Had a 20 dollar bill so i went into bakery side to pay. Ming asked what i wanted. I saw coffe so, gimme ice coffe. Wesk as f,.#! $ like last review. Then my dumb ass took the spring rolls thinking its morning so, ?? Fresh??. If you have to ask yourself is this fresh? Obviously its not.!# never goin in here again. If they continue to serve old food and weak coffee, hows the water dispenser??? This place is bad, needs to be shut down. Just same o results as last time nothing changed. I threw my coffee out. The coffee is made from reused grains, the food on counter is of low quality, you can taste the old wrapping. So that makes me not trust the water they sell. My family has no reason to go there. This is why you dont see your friends there while you get bakery. They all went to westminister.

This is a good restaurant to visit if you have a limited budget and want to eat a satisfying meal. Very welcoming environment, the food looks delicious. I had #16, which is a sub style sandwich. It is really good and healthy. They have chicken/beef noodles(amongst other options). You should come and give them a try.

Went to Lily Bakery this afternoon skeptical after reading the mixed reviews on Unilocal, but I was very impressed! I got the BBQ Pork sandwich, which was really good and filling! And only two bucks! I also tried the iced coffee boba because I’m a fiend for ice coffee and a fiend for boba and it was good! Iced coffee was very strong and sweet, which is exactly what I look for in my coffee because it woke me up and still tasted really good(the boba was alright — I’m very particular about my boba but I still very much so enjoyed it). The icing on the cake was the fried banana — 3 for $ 1 — can’t beat that deal and it tasted delicious! So I got a sandwich, a drink, and dessert for like 5 bucks. Service was good — family-owned restaurant with a welcoming and cozy feel to the place. Small but good quality. They had a bunch of other food there as well — bakery food and hot items — all of which I look forward to trying. It’s not a question of whether I’ll be back; more a matter of how soon!

HANDSDOWNTHEWORSTBANHMIIVEEVERHAD. I am very accustom to Vietnamese food and this is seriously the worst banh mi I have ever tried. Skimped out on the meat was so pretty much all they had to do to ruin a possibly good sandwich.

Very standard, solid banh mi here. I still prefer Baguette Paris over this place, but I’d take this place over Star Bakery. I feel a little guilty because I accidentally got two nom bao after paying for one here — I showed her one, paid, then put it in my purse — but I found out when I got home that she put another in my to-go banh mi baggie. Nom bao are little meals-in-a-dumpling, kind of like a really simplified version of Indonesian nasi bungkus, though this only has meat and egg, not veggies.

This place has a lot of cheap eats. Who doesn’t love cheap? My favorites have become coconut milk with grass jelly,(which has always been $ 1.50! Great deal!) the infamous $ 2 Chicken Banh Mi, their Ham and Cheese croissant($ 1.75, considering at any nearby cafè they are $ 2.65 and up) and their $ 1 slushies! One dollar!!!(these are self serve) Although there is only two flavors/colors, red and blue, it’s a convenient and cheap treat especially on a hot day. You can get a boba smoothie or iced coffee for $ 2 bucks. Where else in Long Beach will you get a smoothie for under $ 3? Only here, Unilocal.Only here. There’s a lot of Asian goodies, typical sticky rice, fried banana, sesame balls, ect. There’s also egg rolls, cooked meat, chowmein and all that Asian good stuff to create combo meals for around $ 5 bucks. So basically this place is pretty good. Prices are easy on your wallet, and everything is pretty tasty! –BUT, yeah there’s a but. Know that there’s a plethora of health code violations. For a place that’s been around for a while, one would think they would correct their food preparation procedures or do something to prevent germs from spreading to the public –their CUSTOMERS. I am certified for food handling and preparation, so I know the proper procedures and a clean environment for food preparation is necessary. Also, the ladies working there do not speak English fluently, and seem to always want quick transactions. So, Lily Bakery, I’m going to give you 3 stars. Your delicious treats and their prices have earned them, but your cleanliness and customer service have prevented you from reaching 5. Please do not let the negative aspects of my review stop you from giving this place a try. Like I said, there’s a lot of good and a lot of bad, but doesn’t the good always outweigh the bad? Especially when you’re hungry!

If you’re hungry for exotic food and don’t have the money or time for a trip to Cambodia, head to the Lily Bakery. So much more than a bakery, this is the hot spot for a wide array of to-go Southeast Asian treats. A full steam table, mounds of intriguing pastries and lunchable favorites including wildly affordable Banh Mi sandwiches(6 for $ 10!) on fresh baguettes. It can be a little hard to be understood, but if you are patient, the lovely ladies will explain everything to you. Just keep trying different things till you find what you love. The food is fresh, the prices are incredible, and the whole experience will make you feel like you just took a trip to a faraway place.

This is my go-to place for something quick and cheap. This place is good for what it’s worth even though it might seem a bit dirty. I only stick to the smoothies, spring rolls, and bahn mi sandwiches but they have some food sitting under heat lamps. I would like to try some of it one day but somebody is going to have to tell me what’s good. They use real fruit for their avocado, jackfruit, and strawberry smoothies and top it off with some whipped cream. Their boba isn’t that bad either and it’s the mini kind. One time I did get a soursop(guanabana) smoothie and it tasted like the juice they used went bad. Amazingly I did not get sick after drinking ¼ of it.

Places like this are why I love living in Cambodia Town: good, cheap, and authentic foods and snacks. My grandma(a hater of most things not cooked by her) loves their Nom Krouk(sp?) — the little rice dumplings with fish sauce and coconut milk. You can also pick up noodle and rice dishes to go for an easy lunch. I don’t recall the banh mi being that great, but everything else I’ve had has been good, especially the durian shake.

Great to-go spot in the hood part of Long Beach. Great for Nic Nacs like sandwiches and Vietnamese/Cambodian food. Prices are cheap. Bring Cash. Again, this is a to-go spot don’t try to attempt to come in looking to sit down and eat. It’s one of those places where you can point to your item give the lady your money and walk out with some little treat to snack on for lunch. Not too many of these spots compared to Orange County but needed in this town because they do have little gems if you get them fresh out of the oven. For example, my favorite items to get are the meatballs on a stick. They are succulently sweet and savory. for a $ 1.50 you really can’t beat that. Grab some eggrolls to go. AND don’t forget their ham and cheese croissant this is the real deal probably the best in town comparable to Seaside Bakery’s in Newport. I just saved you gas. Workers there speak minimal English so don’t expect the greatest of service but don’t take it into offense. They are dealing with locals who speak the language and who they assist on the reg. I always get the banh chao, Which is a Cambodian version of the Banh Xeo. Egg crêpe filled with pork and shrimp served with fish sauce. Huge portions to-go great for a mid afternoon snack.

Okay honestly. Most reviewers on this SMALL bakery are so over dramatic. What do you expect for a $ 2 sandwich? In my opinion, it’s totally worth it. I find it better than eating lee’s sandwhich. You pay for what you get so if you’re looking for a fancy sandwich or whatever, go somewhere else! This place is my favorite, their coffee or Thai tea boba, sandwhiches, and eggrolls are like my combo. To be honest, I actually enjoy the it sandwhiches. Not bad at all. This is an easy go place to get some food. This place would have MORESTARS, if most of the elder Cambodian people knew how to work Unilocal.Unfortunately not.

First time here. Should have looked at reviews before this stop. Got the special sandwich which is kind of skimpy. Yes it’s $ 2 but then make it half the size and make me want more. They have baked goods, standard blended drinks, and bento-like food that looks less than appetizing. I’d try it, but from this first impression, it’ll be a while before I come back. Sandwich was ok I guess, and hollow

Their sandwich are disgusting now. What happen to this place??? They are using«OLD» meats in their sandwiches and selling it! Fucking unacceptable! The smell… oh lord the smell… I will pay MORE for a better quality made sandwich.

Bahn mi heaven for my mouth and my wallet :) $ 2 awesome sandos with the perfect amount of cilantro, pickled veggies, bell pepper, and meat on perfectly perfect French-viet bread! And if you aren’t in the food for viet sandwiches, get the cold noodles that are lined up in front of the cashier — I like the one with shrimp and the chopped up red meat(I think it’s chasao) its so delicious and light you can’t go wrong! It’s $ 4 for enough noodles to stuff yourself and still have some left over SO. GOOD. Ps. They also have lunch box meals where it’s $ 5 for rice+2 hot items. I can’t wait to try it!
