Long Beach Alliance Church

Long Beach Alliance Church is the first church that has really been «home» for me as a Christian. Before finding LBAC I was going to a larger church in Costa Mesa but never was able to get plugged into the family of the church. At this church, family is what the church is about. Everyone is friends and cares for each other. They have 4 great Pastors, Chris (Lead), Scott (Associate), Matt (Family), and Jesse (Youth). On top of that they have a dedicated group of Elders and Deacons that love to serve the church and the people in the community. If you have a heart to serve, this is a great church to go to. If you want a church that is dedicated to the scripture as God’s written word, this is the church to go to.
LBAC has many great ministries: VBS, children (toddler through high school), men’s ministry, women’s ministry, a prayer group every Friday morning to pray for the community, and many others. If you read this please check out the church because the Lord’s Spirit is leading this church to be a light for the community.

This is a church where you will be welcomed as family, nurtured and challenged through scripture, and knit together with a community of people who want to walk beside you toward Jesus. We felt at home the very first time we came and never left!

As someone who became Christian as an adult, I had no idea what I wanted in a church, nor really what to expect. I did know that I wanted to know more about the path I was on, and that I wanted a place that was friendly (with music I could enjoy).
I was brought to Long Beach Alliance Church (LBAC) by a friend about 6 years ago to a women’s event. My husband and I had been looking for a church home and I was impressed by the sense of community and the way all the generations interacted so easily with one another. The next weekend the two of us attended our first service. We were thoroughly impressed by the sermon (complex and challenging, but also explanatory of confusing details). We enjoyed the music (mix of contemporary and hymns), and again, the community was great. Despite being 30 minutes from our house, we were committed to driving every week because we loved this church.
Three years later, my husband changed jobs and we moved closer to church. We’ve had a daughter and have experienced the excellent nursery, preschool, elementary, VBS, and AWANA programs. The workers (volunteers) are caring, friendly, and knowledgeable. We enjoy the special programs such as: Missions conference, Easter Egg hunt for kids, Mother’s Day tea, summer fair, Thanksgiving Adopt-​a-​family, Christmas Women’s craft party, and the special holiday services. We attend some of the many programs going on at the church: the weekly Growth Groups (Bible Studies), Missions meetings, mentoring programs, Gospel project (Sunday school classes for kids) and AWANA program for kids. LBAC also offers addiction recovery programs, a new grief ministry, studies for youth, high school and college, as well as an occasional Financial Peace University and a Marriage Builder class. Because of attendance growth and desire to reach into the community, LBAC now offers two services at 9am and 10:45am. I’ve probably forgotten something simply because there’s a lot going on at this church. The website has details.
What you need to know: This is a place where people love Jesus and love the Gospel. They are not perfect. They accept broken people and non-​Christians because many of them are broken and many of them were non-​Christians. They are friendly, warm, and welcoming. The truth is preached and scripture is taught. Pastor Chris’s sermons are fantastic, as are all the classes and groups offered by this wonderful place. We still love the music — led by Pastor Scott, who is a great leader as well. If you’re looking for a church home, have questions about Jesus, the Bible, or just life in general, I highly recommend you stop by.

You will not find a more welcoming, supportive, true to the word place to call home. It is where I will raise my own children.

The lead pastor is very down to earth and is very approachable. The worship fits all generations and is prepared wonderfully with vision and authenticity. It’s not too big or too small. The people for the most part are warm and welcoming. No church is perfect, and no community is perfect; but this one will point you to the right direction of what perfect is; Jesus. :)

My wife and I have attended LBAC for over 6 years now. The first thing we noticed is that it felt like family! Nothing was weird or strange. People seem to genuinely care about us.
Today, we find that indeed, they really do love us and care for our needs.
The leadership of LBAC is commmitted to communicating the love of Jesus and teaching directly from the Bible.
Wonderful community, wonderful teaching, wonderful church.
