Long Beach Eye Center

I called in the morning at 9 am to make an appointment and the receptionist gave me a 4:00 pm appointment same day. It gave her enough ample time to check my insurance (like 6 hours) and tell me of its progress. She also knew I needed immediate consultation for this day.
I got the right insurance for them!
By 4:00 pm on my stated appointment time —when I was about to enter the clinics door she called me on the phone and said the doctor is «ON VACATION» ??? I TRAVELED SO FAR TO GET THEIR CLINIC and to top of it I could NOT get to another doctor because it was already too late that day to make another one. I could have planned for another doctor with a short phone call from the clinic.
Would you like this to happen to you?
This clinic should be more considerate and put more integrity to promising patients with their appointment time. The receptionist SHOULD KNOW THE DOCTOR WAS ON VACATION EARLY IN THE MORNING and should have warned me of this.
A bit of tips and hoping it does not happen to any future patient.
Will not go back to this clinic.

The first time I came here, the receptionist was really nice. When I got seen and examed, the optomologist/​optometrist was really nice also. Made me feel comfortable. When I was done with my exam, he walked me to the other side where they sell the frames and contacts and stuff. The guy there was really nice as well. They were all super friendly. When I came back a few weeks later (lagging on picking my contacts) again, they were all really nice. I liked my experience at the LB eye center. I would recommend this place. No attitude– simply pleasant! Satisfied customer!

These guys are as unprofessional as they come. If you don’t mind waiting over an hour for your appointment… then by all means trust your vision to them. I finally walked out. Can’t comment on their quality of care but their customer service in non-​existent.
