I was very disappointed by my experience at this location. I’ve been here in the past and never really had a big issue. I stopped by the other day to have my tire inspected I noticed I had a nail in it. I asked the gentleman at the counter what time they closed he looked at me and then looked outside and said around four-​ish. He then shook his head before I could even finish my sentence and told me that it wouldn’t even be done today because they were too busy. I then asked if someone could just take a look to see if my tire was even savable and he said they were all too busy to even look at it I was very disappointed with this experience and left very upset. I then went down to a different tire repair shop and they were not only polite but they also took care of my tire without hesitation, and they looked pretty busy as well. I just hope no one else has a bad experience like I did that day. I don’t think I will be returning for any of my auto services.

I would never take my 1992 dodge dynasty to midas on 401e. Anaheim in long beach ever again they DO NOT know what they are doing. The service writer took my information from me when I got the bill it had a Cadillacs information. When I called him on it the service writer snatched the paper from my hand and said I got the wrong bill (I was the only customer there). Then I asked if I could see the specifications he set up the alignment machine at and it said a Chrysler dysnaty (no such car) dodge and Chrysler did not merge until 1996. My car is a DODGE DYNASTY. So they had no idea what they were doing. Plus they said it would be $ 600.00 more because I asked for an all wheel alignment and they needed to put shims on. Which was not mentioned on the first agreement I signed. I have a degree in automotive technology. I want the SUPPOSED ASE certified technician tested.

Called in ahead and asked for a quote for turning rotors. The person on the phone Maurice said if I was sure if it was the rotors or possibly brakes. He scheduled me in for a free brake inspection and after that the mechanic did in fact determine it was the rotors because of the pulsating stop and after he did the inspection. I’m very cautious on mechanics working on my car I sat and watched the entire time and they do a thorough inspection I was quite happy. I ended up getting my front rotors turned and will be back for any other car needs I left happy my car feels like new again no more shaking! Thanks Maurice and the mechanic that worked on my car they got me in and out quickly

I used to come here for my oil changes. While I appreciated the included inspection, I always denied additional work because I preferred to go elsewhere for things like new tires. At my last visit, I was asked, «Why don’t you ask your other mechanic to do your oil changes? Why do you always refuse our recommendations for additional service?» His tone was rude and condescending. He basically asked me to not come back. Wish I had his name. I was fuming, but I kept my calm, and I vowed to never return to this Midas. The negative reviews are all true. They have horrible customer service and given the opportunity, they will rip you off.

Very nice customer service. Beware there’s a $ 30 charge for any estimate, but they take this charge off of any repair that you have done. A couch and some coffee are in the waiting room.

Absolutely do NOT go here. Went to get my coolant changed, they didn’t even change it! I had a several trusted professionals look at my car post «change» and they said my coolant hasn’t been changed and needs to be changed just a week after I took it to this Midas. Save yourself from a scam and go somewhere else.

I have been bringing my car here for oil changes and regular check ups for over 4 years now. Every single time I come in I have an amazing experience. The staff and manager are always very friendly and welcoming, they always finish their work within the promised time or many times even early. They are very honest, they always give me the best deal in town, and on numerous occasions they went out of their way to take care of my car and give me a heads up about any issues with my car I wasn’t aware of. I trust these guys very much, I highly recommend this place to everybody, you will experience great service on your car and will be walking out of there with a smile on your face as I always do! :)

So it’s interesting to read all the reviews about this location and they are so all over the place! Well, I can only give my experience which has been fine! I’ve never been to Midas before but because I got my car from my brother and he said he did all his work on it at Midas I thought I’d continue the maintenance with them. My brakes were squeaking and I knew I needed an oil change for which I’ve always gone to GOODYEAR. In February, when I went to Goodyear for the oil change they did an inspection and quoted me over $ 1700 worth of stuff they said I needed. I opted out of it and just did the oil. Now, at Midas, they did the full inspection and said my car looked great! They only had ¹⁄₃ of the recommended maintenance so I’m getting what I truly believe I need for $ 600. Maurice has been wonderful. I made my appointment with him on the phone and he was great. When I arrived today, Maurice received me on time and again was polite and knowledgable and explained everything in terms I could understand. No technical mumbo jumbo. I opted to wait for my vehicle which has been a couple of hours but Maurice did offer to drive me home and pick me up if I wanted. I thought that was very nice. As I’ve sat here, I’ve listened to him with several other customers and he’s been great as well. Provided all my work ends up being done perfectly, I would definitely come back. And sorry Goodyear, bye bye.

Excellent service! Every time I come they do a great job and offer very reasonable prices. The only place I take my vehicle after so many bad experiences elsewhere.

My boyfriend went here to get his brakes fixed and an overall diagnostic check up. The owner here have phenomenal customer service, even personally brining him home so he didn’t have to wait at the shop and picking him up when his car was finished. This to me is above and beyond the standard customer service. The people who work here really care about their clients and for that we will keep coming back!

I had a pleasant experience. I went in knowing what I needed done and they tried to under sell me. I had them perform the services I needed and they handled it in no time on a Saturday.

I was in the area and needed my brakes done, they weren’t busy yet because it was early in the day so I stopped in. I did read some reviews on this place first, and even though I saw some bad reviews I gave this place a shot because the staff was very warm and welcoming upon my inquiry for service. They gave me a great deal AND great service! I was very satisfied with the end result and will return here for servicing in the future. (Remember, you can’t always trust what you read on the internet so take the information posted with a grain of salt. Do the research for yourself and get the information and experience first hand.)

Amazing service, Discounted over $ 100.00. Friendly guys Maurice and Kevin. Even gave me a ride home while the breaks were being done. A+++++. Highly Recommended

Do not go to this place or do any kind of business with them!!!
They are total rip offs and very very rude people!
Too bad we cant give minus stars since they do not deserve not even one star.
The owner sold a car he did not own to a friend, who should had not bought it in the first place, but this person didn’t know any better. You can not sell a car if your name is not on the title which this owner of this Midas shop did! He sold a car with another persons name on it to my friend. I called him/​the owner in be half of my friend and he refused to help in any way and just hung up!
So now we need to take legal action against this idiot and his shop/​company!
So again just be very careful in any dealing with this person!

Unilocal needs a negative star! I didn’t even get a chance to test their work they do on vehicles because the manager was lacking soooo much customer service! So rude and was not helpful. Was curious about my rear brakes– gave one price on the phone– a total different in person. Every answer was short and the attitude of I don’t give a «sh**» about you as a customer. No cars were in the parking lot and I have a feeling it’s because people have gotten the word not to go to there– yes the brakes were expensive but that didn’t bug me– I literally just paid 100 dollars more down the street but they were so helpful I didn’t even care. First impressions are everything especially in this line of business.

DO NOT go to this Midas. I went to get my oil changed today and they took one look at me (22-​year-​old female) and tried to tell me that my 2014 Honda Civic needed a $ 70 synthetic oil change. I called them on their shit by showing them my owner manual and they still tried to tell me that «their system says synthetic». Took care of it at Honda instead.
Don’t trust these guys. They will do their damnedest to rip you off.

Less than one star if possible. Currently sitting here — about a year ago I got my tires changed here and the person working on my car failed to give me my tire key back; I own a Scion — you need a special key to unlock the tires. It took me months before I realized that had happened because that’s not something I use daily — I call them up and they say they’ve found it and it’s at the front desk to be picked up. When I come in a few weeks later no one knows anything about it, says they’ll ask the guy who worked on my car as he should be the one with it and they’d give me a call the next day. Never a call.
So here I am sitting in their lobby asking the guy behind the counter about it and needing to get my tire fixed because it’s leaking air and he’s brushing me off & giving me the worst attitude ever. I asked him to look into the computer to see who did the work on my car to locate my key — these aren’t cheap people, and I can’t even finish a sentence without him cutting me off and telling me he doesn’t know anything about it — Well, then figure it out, it’s YOUR job!!!
I hate this place with all my being; I wouldn’t be here right now if it weren’t for the warranty on my tires and my need for the key. I recommend this place to no one unless you want awful/​rude customer service and crap service. I will bad mouth this chain and location to EVERYONE I come across.

I have been going to this Midas since 2006. These guys have taken such good care of my cars throughout the years. They never try to up sell me or do unnecessary work to my car.
After I bought a new car, I was taking my car to the dealership which was expensive and I was told to do things to my car that did not apply to my car. At all. I took my car to Midas for the factory recommended service instead and saved over a thousand dollars because they pointed out that my car did not have the component that the dealership was trying to get me to replace.
Midas is also really good about explaining what is going on with my car (since I know relatively little). This is the only place I take my car now. Great service!

NEVER GO TO THIS MIDAS EVER. took my truck to this location and they quoted me $ 754 for JUST the front breaks, once I told Maurice to not do it because I couldn’t afford it and that I was going to come get my truck. He proceeded to call me 3 times lowering the price each time. My issue– Why/​HOW can somewhere charge such a high price and then when someone knows that it is too high, they begin to drop the price?
And they made me take my own vehicle out of the shop area.
RIDICULOUS, UNPROFESSIONAL & RUDE.

I am really dumb founded by all of the negative reviews of this Long Beach Midas. Not biased in any way not do I discount anyone else’s experiences but I am truly shocked at some of the things I’ve been reading
I have been taking my car here since I moved to Long Beach 3 years ago. Not only is their customer service amazing (the owner Kevin personally calls me a couple days after every appointment to check and see how the car is doing and ensure I received good service) but they have given me many discounts just for being a repeat customer.
Take today for example, someone smashed my driver side mirror and I needed help putting a new one on. Pep Boys wanted to charge me $ 94 and Midas would have charged the same but did it for $ 70 for no reason at all except as a thank you for returning to them.
They’ve helped me out with making payments when I needed new tires really badly and couldn’t afford it and their prices are reasonable … believe me I do my homework anytime I need a lot of work done and Midas usually comes in cheapest. And if not? If I let Kevin know he will take the extra time to search for other vendors to be able to match or beat the price.
Truth be told though I would pay more for their service because I trust them 100% with my car and I know that if anything did go wrong, they would help me sort it out. Cars are finicky and no where near perfect. They take a beating getting you from place to place and sometimes things don’t go as planned. Just the way it is.
I have recommended many people go here and now my boyfriend is a believer as well and he has a BMW convertible, not the easiest car to fix, but he will also go no where else except this Midas. Give it a go.
