Newport Academy at Phases

They never answer their phone nor respond to your voice messages, I completely hated it, since they never answered my 20 calls and voice messages and decided to go directly to the location and talk to them but the lady refused to give me studio tour saying I should take an appointment and then can only enter, which was rude

Annie and her staff are so sweet and helpful with my daughter, I’ve never second guessed my decision to send her to Phases. My daughter has a speech delay and Annie has been so helpful and understanding with her, using sign language to communicate when needed. I’m impressed with the level of social skills Annie is able to teach such young minds (table manners, clean up, taking turns, sharing etc.). And my daughter loves the friends she’s made so far; the other children are really great. I have piece of mind knowing she is in such a caring environment.

I can not say enough good things about this school & Annie, the woman who owns it. After looking at many other places in Long Beach I was starting to get worried because I was not impressed with any of them. The second I met Annie & I saw what a magical environment she had created I knew this was the place for my child. My kid comes home happy as can be & full of pleases & thank yous!

My son was just diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder at 2−½ years old and I immediately registered him at Phases for the morning program Monday to Thursday 8:30 — 11:30. Prior to Phases, he’d just been staying at home and the only socialization or structure he got was play dates and relatives.
Since starting at Phases for the past month and a half, my son has been doing so well — it’s like night and day. Before he could not sit still in his chair for over a minute and now, he sits at the table to eat and drink and watch some tv, and he even puts all the toys away in their respective spots even without being asked.
He is als socializing so much more now whereas prior to Phases, the only socialization he did was with mommy and daddy. He didn’t ask for kisses and hugs, and now, he gives kisses and hugs freely and enjoys it immensely.
Phases is amazing when it comes children, whether they are on the spectrum or not. Annie, Stephanie and the gang and just a godsend and I’m so grateful every day.

From the moment you walk inside of Phases you will love it. There is so much fun stuff for the kids to do and everything serves a purpose. The tree house in the main work\play area is perfect for our little ones. They will come home singing and signing. Annie is very loving and informative. She is hands on everyday with the kids and keeps current with finding innovative ways to teach. The school is very structured and routine. I have had the pleasure of sending two of my children to Phases and must say that the twenty minute drive everyday was well worth it. I would recommend Phases to anybody.

Annie is great with the kids there. My autistic son has been there for the past few months and he’s made great progress in his social skills. I’m very sad that he’ll be turning 3 and will be leaving her school.
She has great activities to develop motor skills, social skills, speech. I just can’t say enough about her. Its really nice to see such a wonderful woman with a preschool for both typical kids and special needs kids. Its such a special school. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for small, personalized preschool for both typical and special needs kids.
