If i could give this place a 0 star i would without a doubt! Dont expect to be greeted with a friendly«hello» much less a smile. I can take that sinse the food is ok for the price, but the«middle eastern» younger guy that works in the afternoon is an absolute DICK! Me and my friend decided to have late night burgers there with her 12 year old AUTISTIC brother, now let me tell you, this kid was actually behaving very well compared to all the other times weve gone out. From the very beginning i noticed we were«unwelcome» sinse we arrived about 20 minutes before closing, this guy treated us with a very crappy attitude, he was bothered that we wanted to eat inside, what was the tipping point was when my frined brother went up to grab ketchup, this man literally yelled at him, told him to «GOSITDOWNNOW», if that wasnt enough when we were talking this guy told us to lower our voice and there was nobody in the restaurant! We had enough and told him to FUCKOFF! Please avoid this place like the plague! They dont value us customers!

No more penny burgers. New owner and disappointed not having the breakfast special anymore

I live near Penny’s I go often. Just your basic hamburger/fries place. Breakfast Burritos are huge but a lil pricey… Burgers are solid… fries are probably the best thing going… always a huge bag… of hot and fresh fries seasoned pretty well. Eat em while they are hot! Stay away from the chilli… on anything… I don’t know it could be just me… but its not good… they should change the cans… lol. They got a couple good specials… one for Breakfast and Lunch… kitchen looks clean… the interior tables not so much. but I have seen far worse.

Had the WORST experience tonight. Decided to call in the order. He said it would take 5 minutes for chili cheese fries and a char broiled chicken sandwich. OK. Waited 15 minutes before I left just to make sure. I live a block away. Got there and after the couple ahead of me ordered this guy who knew of my call in had me pay for it. Why did I call in? Not sure, because the couple ahead of me got their food first and I could see that my food was not cooked until MINUTES after I had paid for it. On top of that, I asked for VERYEASY on cheese and he even repeated it back to me and when I get home what did I find? CHEESELAND! They went to town with the cheese. DON“T GOTHERE. They are just happy they got you to buy, they could care less about anything else.

Was in town for work this week and in the evening I got a Reflexology massage and saw this place on my way back to hotel. I must say an outstanding burger the old fashion way. Char-broiled shredded lettuce and thousand island dressing. The taste was spot on and I will say I consider myself a hamburger coinsure in my 47 years since this is by far my favorite food and I try them all and only found 2 worthy of a review. Try it you’ll like it.

Went back and was not disappointed. The cheeseburgers are perfect tasting with that great flavor that only charbroiling can produce. Flavorful but without the sloppy mess that usually accompanies better burgers. The best burger in Long Beach? Quite possibly. Still… stay away from the tuna melt.

WOW, I can’t believe this place hasn’t been Unilocaled about yet! Another«first»… KEWL!(Boy I’m on a roll here!) I’ve driven past this place for years, but had never stopped until last week. I was thinking about stopping at another place to grab some grub on the way home, but after a last minute decision, I stopped here. Being lazy I used the drive-thru and ordered a regular cheeseburger. Now I have to say that, as much as I like In-n-Out or other burger joints, there is really NOTHING like the taste a char-broiled burger! That’s something I’ve deprived myself of for quite a while now! The burger was just like the other char-broiled burger joints I’ve been to, specifically the one’s of my youth. Shredded lettuce, some diced onion, 1000 island dressing, etc. YUMYUMYUM! The service for a drive-thru was fine, however the price they charged compared to the price in the menu was different(higher). Yes it was only a penny or two, but it’s a matter of principle for me. If you show me that price, then charge me that price! So there you have it. A simple review on a lone cheeseburger acquired the lazy way, via the drive-thru. Next time I’ll have to get my ass outta the car and go inside.
