Over 10 $ for mediocre sandwich and fries without drink. Meat wasn’t even inside the sandwich, was sprinkled on top so most of it fell off. Very bad, don’t eat here

Almost gave them 5 stars, but the cashier seem annoyed and over it. When I asked if I can put two tables together she answer«yes as long as you out them back!» Ok! Not to mention she was just standing around, on her phone and giving us looks. As we got ready to leave we were putting the tables back and the next cashier on shift said we didn’t have to put them back. Not only was he aware of our presence but he had a better customer service and had a smile. I hope they can talk to her and improve her customers service skills or they will be loosing customer. P.s food still met my expectations!

Be careful to check that they don’t shortchange you here. I used a coupon for free fries when ordering a sandwich and questioned why my bill was over $ 10. Genius said it was because I get taxed on the free item. Well I said, if the sandwich cost $ 7.50 and fries are $ 2.00, that should be around $ 8.50. No says genius after looking at the total bill receipt. Yes says I. After explaining the concept of taxes and addition, she wanted to continue the argument but eventually conceded that the cash register did not take the $ 2.00 off for the free fries. So… I question how many other people have unknowingly been ripped off by these geniuses??? P.s the meal was awful. Beef was full of strips of fat that I could not get out from between my teeth. Bread was soggy beyond belief and fries were dripping with grease. This was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had. I could gag just thinking about that meal!!!

Excellent food consistently. Every time we visit the area we can always count on a great meal. The French fries taste like you can actually still taste potato.

I got the normal cheesesteak with extra cheese. And it was good, but it wasn’t anything to write home about. I like John’s Philly Grille in Seal Beach a whole lot better. Their cheesesteak is bigger, cheaper, and the workers are much more nice. The dude at Philly’s Best wasn’t rude at all, but he didn’t go out of his way to be nice. I’ve been at John’s Philly Grille before and forgot to buy a drink for my cheesesteak and the girl just gave me it for free. Their workers always greet me. I only went to Philly’s Best because John’s Philly Grille was closed. And, after my visit to Philly Best, I appreciate John’s Philly Grille a little more.

I got the cheesesteak… pretty good… way better than most places. You get a good amount of meat… felt like I was eating steakums… again not bad but didn’t wow me. Place was clean, staff was friendly and the sandwiches are a good size for the price. I will come back.

I really like this place. The cheese steaks are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. You can always expect consistency here and I appreciate the friendly staff! I’ve been coming to this location since I was a little kid and I’ll be back for many years to come! :)

Best cheese steaks this side of Philly. At least that’s what I’m told from some Philly natives.

First off, I like the food at Philly’s Best. However, I haven’t eaten there in a long time. Here’s why — by 8:30 and sometimes earlier, the chairs are up on the tables. Huge turn off for us. We want to eat without the sound of chairs banging and debris being swept around. We’d like the focus to be on preparing food well and not on closing the store. Tonight was a little different. At 8:35 the chairs weren’t up and the employees were working in the kitchen, so we went in and placed our order. Before paying we were told this would have to be a to go order because they had to make 30 sandwiches AFTER they made ours. The employee really couldn’t explain why filling a 30 sandwich order prevented us from eating in her restaurant. Once again we had a nice meal next door at Toppings Pizza — a place we discovered thanks to lazy employees at Philly’s Best.

Not the best Philly cheesesteak around. Had much better. The cheese that they used was processed. Sorry, didn’t care for it. The fries were greasy and limp. But service was nice and friendly.

This afternoon about 4:30, I tried to buy a homeless man and his wife a sandwich at this place. They told me that they wouldn’t allow me to use my own money to buy them some food. I won’t be allowing myself to spend money there any more. (The pizza place nextdoor got the business.)

Unbelievable. I went into Philly’s Best, got home within five minutes and this is hoagie I open up. The bread is soggy, the tomatoes soggy, and it literally fell apart as I opened it. Taste is two stars as well. Never again.

A great place to get a Philly cheesesteak. I came here for a quick lunch. With some fries and onion rings. Services was quick and customer service was great.

I was craving a sandwich of sorts and found myself in the parking lot where this place was located. I had been to one of these in the mall — years ago. The menu is simple. I ordered a chicken and cheese sandwich. It was a little greasy and kind of soggy — but I think that’s the kind of sandwich. The fries were fresh, crispy, and hot. Overall, I was okay with my lunch. The quality of the chicken seemed okay — chopped up and seemed to be more dark meat than white. The place was pretty crowded, so they get enough business. The employees were kind — they were training someone on the registers, but they took my ordered. I had to wait a while for my order because they do not prepare food ahead of time. That’s good, but it did seem to take awhile. On weekends the parking a little crazy because there are a lot of other restaurants and stores in the same lot. Good luck finding a place right out front. Overall, not a bad experience, but I am not sure I am going to be craving that place for awhile.

Quality has gone downhill. Place needs to be updated. A lot. of the furniture are extremely worn down. Does the owner not care? Table isn’t bolted down, almost took out my nephew who was trying to climb into his seat so. please be careful. Customer service still the same, simple. You place your order at the register and wait to be called. As you’re waiting for your food to cook, you have the pickle bar to stock up on. Portion is much smaller than what it was a few years ago. And not as cheesy as it used to be. Meat used to bulge out and the juice would drip over my tray… now the meat is dry and the sandwich isn’t as plump as it once on. Disappointed… I will come back another day to see if it was just an off day. The place is in need of an update though.

Philly’s Best is a great place to get a Philly cheesesteak! I came here the other week for a quick dinner and it was pretty tasty! They offer cheesesteaks, burgers and fries. //PARKING // Philly’s Best is located in a large plaza so parking shouldn’t be a problem at all. //FOOD // * They have a pickle bar in the back which is awesome! Two different types of pickles and pickled peppers to give your cheesesteak a little kick! Philly cheesesteak with cheese, onions, tomatoes and lettuce: The perfect combination of flavors and textures. I really like the pickled peppers in my cheesesteak too. Philly cheesesteak with cheese, onions and mushrooms: A simple and basic cheesesteak with great flavor. The meat is very good and the mushrooms give it great flavor. Overall, I really enjoyed eating at Philly’s Best. I just wish the portion size was a little larger. I can definitely eat more than one cheesesteak myself. I will be back again for the cheesesteak and pickled peppers!

This sandwich shop is located in a shopping area strip mall. When you walk in the door, its Philly sports everywhere. There are two TVs up above, usually on sports channels. And special attention for me, the picture of Dr J and Larry Bird in a fight is worth the price of admission. Once inside, there’s a big menu board on your right and booth tables on your left. Straight in front of you is where you place your order. Friendly staff, ready to serve. I ordered the regular cheesesteak with onions and peppers and had a seat. The booths were clean and so were the couple of tables in the center. The sandwich was ready in about 5 minutes. The sandwich was hot so I let it cool for a moment. I picked it up for a bite. The bread didn’t feel fresh and on first bite didn’t seem so fresh either. The bread can make a big difference. The meat was okay but not like«yum» delicious. The onions were good but I didn’t care for the pepper’s flavor. And cheese although melted, I didn’t really taste. I ordered fries too and these were good. This was an okay visit.
