Porky’s Pizza

Pizza is pretty good! The wings are amazing and the salad is good and garlic knots make sure you get extra pizza sauce because one is not enough. So the pizza is better than poppa john, Domino’s and Pizza Hut but not as good as a round table pizza. So a family feast comes out to $ 38 bucks and you get a 2 liter soda also with the items i listed above. They do load the toppings on the Pizza. It’s take out only. Give it a try, not bad!

Yummy!!! Great place for a great pizza… They have some good deals too! Will definitely return! The staff is so nice and the location is great too!

ordered extra large and a order of hot wings for $ 33.00 and I had to pick it up, I was not offered any dry cheese or napkins and when I got home the oil from the pepperoni was everywhere and the size of the pizza was the size of a medium domino’s pizza and the worst thing was the taste.
Worst pizza ever.

The 2016 Unilocal 500, Review #031:
Decent pizza, awesome staff manning the place. The have a well-​stocked cooler full of drinks on hand. Oh and Loved the old time photos of Long Beach that adorned the walls.
Before really saying anything… This is NOT a sit down pizzeria. Order and go!
ORDER:
Cheese pizza with an order of cinnamon knots.
CRUST: I ordered the thick crust. Now don’t try to compare this to deep dish because that is not what I said. It is simply thick and chewy. I almost said leathery but, that makes it sound tough. I dont care for a thick edge crust… this was on the sort of thick side.
SAUCE: Marinara. Flavorful yet not intensely over powering acidic or nauseatingly sweet. Strictly a tomato flavor maybe a hint of garlic and salt… you be the judge because what I didn’t have time to do was order a side of sauce and a straw! :-p As I pull apart my slice, I dont see much sign of anything more than a sprinkling of what might be oregano. So if you order cheese pizza and you like herbs and spices, stock up before hand but, if you are like me (yeah weird, I know) you will appreciate the raw natural state the cheese pizza these guys put out.
TOPPING: The cheese is both abundant and tasty… the topography of the pie is not deluged with oil and not much of the sauce peeking through.
Would return because, outside of Bonellos (spelling?) in San Pedro, I haven’t found anything better yet.

Porkys has delicious pizza! It’s worth the money you pay, you get a great size pizza with good size slices. Their Cinnamon knotts are absolutely delicious as well! They put the right amount of ingredients on your pizza and they cook it perfectly and just how you like it! This is the pizza place to go to (:

What’s to say, GOOD PIZZA GOOD SALAD GOOD WINGS GOOD GARLIC KNOTS! Enjoyed the cinnamon knots but 1 order is too much for 2 people, and they don’t reheat as well as the garlic knots. It’s our favorite local place

I would like to thank Porkys Pizza for helping me out a surprise Valentine’s Pizza together for my boyfriend. I walked into Porkys and asked the gentleman if I could place an order for a heart shaped pizza. The guy was honest with me and said they can but can’t promise the heart will be perfect. I told him it’s ok it’s the thought that counts. I had printed out a sign to put in the box and they guy said he can tape it inside. The large heart shaped pizza was delivered on time the next day and my boyfriend loved it. The pizza and tasty. Thank you Porkys!

Love this place pizza isn’t greasy. They use good quality ingredients. Anti pasta salads are really good too.

Great tasting pizza, garlic knots, and salad. We ordered the «Feast Special» and for the price and the quality of food I would definitely go back.

First time trying Porky’s tonight. I ordered the Feast. I was told ³⁰⁄₄₀ minutes for delivery. It took a little over an hour. Aside from that rough start, everything was great. I’ll definitely be going back. My fam really enjoyed dinner and i have leftovers for tomorrow.

Fast and friendly. One of our family’s favorites. They deliver or we pick up either way everyone is happy.

I normally order their garlic knots. They’re standard (side bar, nothing compares to New York’s garlic knots). They normally come out hot, buttery, and garlicky. The garlic stinks so bad you know it’s going to taste good. Unfortunately, tonight was a total disaster.
Placed my order 10 minutes prior and the sweet girl on the phone lets me know it’s going to take 5 minutes. I arrived and they weren’t done, she said it’ll take an additional 3 – 4 minutes. Come on now! Plus, there was only 1 other gentleman in front of me.
UNDERSERVING = –1 star
Garlic knots weren’t warm and they had an airy texture (not fluffy). A big «NO NO» was when I went to dip the garlic knots in the marinara sauce. Guess what? The marinara sauce was half frozen!!! REALLY!

The only reason they get 2 stars is because the cashier was extremely sweet and their facility was clean.

Ain’t no Round Table, but it’s definitely better than Dominos! This is not a sit-​down pizza parlor, solely a take-​out pizza joint.
I love that the pizza here is not very oily and there are no shortage of toppings on the Porky’s Special combo. I actually had good experience with the customer service here, contrary to what many of the reviews state on here. Apparently they serve slices too… but you have got to specially request it because it’s not on the menu.

This was the first meal we ate at our new place in Long Beach — after moving and unpacking we thought we’d try some local pizza. Disappointment! Disappointment!
It just wasn’t that good and the dough tasted a bit off.
I really have nothing else to say about this pizza or experience.
We ordered and picked it up — that was easy.
But the taste was just not there. Haven’t gone back since.

If I could give zero stars I would. I’m so disappointed in this establishment. We’ve ordered here for so long and tonight ended it all. We were charged $ 10 extra bucks for something we didn’t order. We called back and the «owner» was so rude. He asked who I banked with, trying to battle me. I told him to come over and look at my bank account. And he showed up! He did apologize and tried to give us cash. This situation could have been resolved with an explanation of how the refund works and that it would just be it: We spoke with 3 different confused folks. We’re super bummed too. They have the best pizza. Unfortunately we’ll never order here again. We’re still creeped out that the dude showed up on our front porch all shakey hands.

Horrible customer service. I called in for delivery and the person I spoke to informed me that I have to be over 18 to order pizza and I told him I’m 21 (my voice is quite high). He quickly gave the phone to his so called manager, who then asked me if they can speak to a «male who is 18+.» Are you fucking kidding me?

This was my first time trying this place. I always look at Unilocal since I am still fairly new to the area. I was on my way to Trader Joes and thought I’d share my experience with this place when I ordered for pick-​up.
I ordered a medium thick crust sweet & spicy (pepperoni, sausage, pineapple, crushed red peppers, and added mushrooms but put the crushed red peppers on the side.)
It was amazing and very tasty! The crust was perfect, just the right amount of pizza like he said there would be, it wasn’t soggy in the middle at all, and cooked all the way through.
They were friendly on phone, very helpful since I hadn’t ordered from them before. Answered my questions, and when I went to pick up they were friendly as well and appreciated me trying the place out and hoped I will return.
And I will return the pizza was great as well as the service. :)
