Rite Aid

The worst pharmacy I have ever been to. When I called, they said my prescription was ready. When I went it, they said they never heard of it. This is the 3^rd time out of 3 times that I’ve had a problem with this pharmacy. I just moved here 6 months ago and didn’t know how bad they were. I am transferring all of my prescriptions to a competent, professional pharmacy.

So apparently closed at 10 pm means closed at 9:50 pm.
I got off work at 9:30 and it’s a 10 min walk to Rite Aid and the bus I need to catch is across the street from that specific Rite Aid.
Well as I’m walking up to the back entrance at 9:50 and a customer is walking out, I notice the automatic door won’t open to let me in. So I figure they want to keep one door locked. No problem.
I approach the front door at 9:53 and it is locked as well. I proceed to knock on the glass window asking why they’re closed before 10. But all I got was employees staring at me and talking to each other and pointing at me.
Thank you Rite Aid for closing early and not letting me purchase an item to make you a profit and denying me the option to get cash back for the bus I needed to get home.
You are the worst. Ever.

I live right down the block and I have to say that the people here are so friendly. The pharmacy is amazing (people always say hello and even know who I am) not to mention that the wellness card is the best savings card to have. I have a 6 month old daughter and the formula is cheaper here than ANYWHERE else and Ive looked. I think this store and people are wonderful.

I wanted a specific kind of aftershave cream/​balm — one that has a built-​in sunscreen. None to be had. The veteran lady did everything in her power to help me and I left my phone number in case they could be of assistance. I did find what I wanted at my (less than favorite) CVS store in Seal Beach. A for effort.

Terri is the sweetest person ever! Thank you for making my mornings better. I’ve never had a bad experience here. All the staff has been nice.

they messed up my rx then said they couldn’t fix it. is that legal?

rude staff.
bad customer service.
dirty restrooms.
parking lot available.
came in for ice cream while busy.
mngr on duty said we’d have to wait a while.
then finally helps us out, and rude.
small scoops too.
will not return.

I have a soft spot for this little Rite Aid that would if it could, but can’t. It’s just absolutely tiny and probably understaffed. Maybe I like it because of that one time I ran in demanding «Drano! NOW!» and a kindly worker took pity on my predicament and explained my options. I think the staff is actually pretty helpful, but there just aren’t enough of them to go around.
I’ll admit that the layout is somewhat confusing… but you get to know it after a couple visits. Really I only need to know the location of the drugs, the booze, and the otter pops which I’ve managed to figure out if I do say so myself. Sometimes the expired seasonal candy can be tough to find, but trust me it’s there.
I imagine that if I ever had more serious needs I might be a little frustrated. As it is, I’ve got no serious complaints.

Yeah this place is 3 stars. Front end service is a joke. Pharmacy gets 4 to 4.5 stars. But they never have anything stocked.

Not a fan at all and only go to it if necessary.
First I must talk about parking. One of the worst parking lots I’ve had to encounter. Common sense would lead one to think that if you own a large and/​or wide vehicle, that you may want to park on the street, but no. You find that if you little to no room to open your door and if you have two people with you. One of you isn’t going anywhere. Getting in and out of it horrible, because nobody wants to budge for anyone and the concept of letting one person go first, so that another may take your place is lost on people here.
Once inside the store you notice the cluster-​f*$% of a place it is. The floor plan as mentioned is rather odd and makes you wonder why would you even consider trying to stuff this place with all the junk. Because honestly, I don’t need a $ 4 DVD of some poorly made Christmas special in the middle of July. All those bins are just clutter and should be removed.
Customer service… or lack there of is poor at best. I needed assistance at their photo center (non photo related) and nobody
came to help me. Yet I could hear people talking in the back area. I had wait in line as though I was purchasing something, just to talk with someone. Then when I did. They said they would page someone and that I should go stand there and wait. I did…
Heard them announce it again that I needed assistance. Couple minutes go by and still nothing. Then this girl walks into the store with a bunch of food in her hand. Obviously just did a lunch run and she just went right into the back area and said nothing. A few more minutes passes by. They announce it again and finally someone from the back area comes to the counter. It’s the lunch run girl. She says that the manager isn’t there and if I want to come back in an hour they can help me then. Come on! Really? Why couldn’t anyone say that before instead of making me stand around like an idiot. Especially when what I was there for was time sensitive.
I really don’t want to go back here. Honestly I don’t. I’m not mean enough to give them a one star, because they have been useful from time to time, but nothing over a two star.

I visit this Rite Aid location at least 2 – 3 times a month for my prescriptions. I have an 80-​year-​old woman’s body at times (I have rheumatoid arthritis, and yes, I’m only 25), so I take about 8 pills a day. (That doesn’t include the shot that I plunge into my leg once every other week. No, I’m not diabetic – it’s a new arthritis drug that costs and arm and a leg but seems to be working.) Needless to say, I have to refill my prescriptions often. One of the guys who works the register here doesn’t even have to ask my name anymore – he just goes straight to the Os.
For pharmacy service, this location gets 5 stars. I’m removing one star for the labryinth-​esque floorplan. It’s almost impossible to find what you’re looking for here, and you end up wandering aimlessly looking for razors or bandaids or whatever else. There’s no logic to the layout whatsoever.
Boo, floor plan. Hooray, register guy who knows my name!

The floor plan of this Rite Aid is downright confusing. Most drug stores I can go into and roughly know the location of most things, but this one left me scratching my head and wandering up and down isles looking for band-​aids. Get with the floor plan!
