There’s only two reasons why I would drop my jaw when I walk in a store: either they have really cool product or they have a cute dog in there. This store has both. Upon walking in, I was greeted with a warm welcome by Miranda and Lucy, both hospitality members of this establishment. First glance, this store has cool shit, very well curated selection of clothing and premium goods. Walking into this store gave me the same feeling as walking into Disneyland for the first time as a child. Miranda and I chatted about these Chucks I’ve been on the hunt for as she helped grab my shoe size and laced my sneakers properly. Then walks in Ben, the owner of the establishment. After speaking with Ben and Miranda for a good 4.35 minutes, you can tell they love what they are doing. They’re genuine people and they’re dope as hell. The store exudes their personality and interests, the way things should be. The details are sick, like the Marshall amps, wood tables, dope rugs, to the window to the wall. Shit they even have a mini fridge for beer and their chairs feel better than your mom cradling you as a youngin. Now it sounds like«ay Elwood u sound like ur their close friend and their payin u to right this». NAH. I actually found this place through Google Images searching for some Converse like 10 mins before heading over there and have never heard of them until today. This store is A1 and I definitely will be coming back for more goodies. Support your locals.

Everything’s SO.DAMN.EXPENSIVE! I mean, the people are nice, and they do have cool things. But holy cow, they must be out of touch.

Sucks I don’t really want to leave a bad review but this guy just bummed me out by blatantly lying on the phone with me. I go in there occasionally to check everything out its a cool little store, nice people. I was in there and was inquiring about a pair of pants. It was something out of season didn’t know if they were able to get it. I was told they would find out and let me know, I left my phone number. I got a call about 2 weeks later saying the pants I was just wondering about were in. I was like oh ok you actually just ordered them? Not that big of a deal they were something I wanted to get just not right before Christmas considering everything in that store is fairly pricey but, since they got the jeans already I felt obligated. So I told him I don’t live in LB so I would try to get there that week if I can. If not I would as soon as can make it out there. I wasn’t able to make it down that week, I did stop in one day the following week when I got a haircut and they were closed on the day I went by. So holidays came and past almost 3 weeks went by I did have 1 missed call from the store in the time but I did not have 1 message. So I call today and once I say who I am and I was coming down his tone changed very quick and said«we sent them back, we tried getting in touch with you many times.» Well first off I talked to them and said I don’t live in LB I will try to get there as soon as I can. I can’t just drop everything and run to the pants store. I have a job, family & it’s right before the holidays. You did not try to get in touch with me many times as I only had 1 missed call and talked to someone the first call. So that’s 2 calls I got from them. Also no messages at all? Why wouldn’t a business just leave a message saying they are trying to get in touch? Or maybe that I only have a certain amount of time to get there and pick up the pants? So I ask if they can get the pants back, I do still want them and he very rudely just said«you have to put a deposit down we sent them back and paid the shipping»… Seriously? You’re going to put that on me? Like I did something wrong. Why wouldn’t you just try to sell the pants in the store then? The pants come from LA I can’t imagine shipping being that expensive especially when you can probably just drive to pick them up. In all honestly I wouldn’t have minded paying up front if that was the case. I never even gave the green light on ordering them yet. Don’t come at me like I did something wrong here. Typically everyone is very nice here but, I do not feel very good about the way I was just treated at all.

Making the pilgrimage to SOP wasn’t optional on my California trip. I’ve been a fan of Ben’s IG account for what seems like years & have made purchases from them online a few times before. The shop is a little cramped & I felt like I might step on Lucy a few times but it’s easy to check out their apparel offerings with the footwear in the back. If you’re not familiar with the brands they carry they’re mostly made in the USA denim & footwear brands: Rogue Territory, 3sixteen, Alden, Red Wing. They also carry the Flat Head out of Japan but sold out of most their offerings before I got there. Ben & Miranda were so friendly & helpful. I was in town for the memorial service for my eccentric uncle & they didn’t seem to mind me going on a tangent about the surreal experience. I really wanted the 3sixteen stadium jacket but they didn’t have an it in my size which always seems to happen to me! I did pull the trigger on some new white pocket t’s though. If you’re in the area & are a fan then you have to stop by to check the place out. It’s totally unassuming & awesome at the same time. I love the brands they carry & they’re good people. Definitely the cure for common!

This place just rules. Everything they sell is quality and there for a reason. They stand by their product. And it may be on the expensive side but you pay for what you get. Quality stuff. And they are superrrrr nice. You can even grab a little carton of Stumptown iced coffee if you want!

Very nice people! Dropped by and my friend loved their denim. He rides motorcycles so if you ride I’m guessing you’ll like this place! He bought a pair of denim that he is excited to break into.

Such an awesome addition to Long Beach. Glad I stopped by while in the area. Miranda and Ben were super cool and friendly, even offered me a drink(another terribly hot day in SoCal). Stayed and chatted for a little, it’s really nice to find individuals with the same interest in clothing. Sweet selection of brands here. No need to travel numerous miles up or down the 405 for Rogue Territory, 3sixteen, and Schott goods. Went in for an indigo pocket tee, walked out with a black instead due to limited stock. Product seems to move quick here, should follow them on Instagram for product updates as they are highly active. Will be back.

Ben, Josh, and Miranda are the best. They were a great online shop before they had this space. They carry the best brands: Rogue Territory, Red Wing, Santa Rosa, etc. All made in America, quality brands. If you are looking for something that will last you a long time and look better as it ages then check out their shop! They will help you out with any you need. I have bought multiple items from them: boots, jeans, socks, and shirt. Definitely great service.

There are very few men’s shops that provide high quality goods… there are even fewer men’s shops that provide incredible customer service. The boys and girl of Snake Oil Provisions are just that! Whether you’re looking for an awesome pair of shoes, high quality denim, or top shelf conversation then you need to head down to the shop and hang with the crew! Buy local, buy less and buy better!
