Storage Etc – Long Beach

This storage facility not only had the cleanest and nicely kept units, but the friendliest staff! It was so easy to get in, and now to move out! I will be coming back next time we need the space for sure! Thank you!

Maria is amazing! For months I have been dreading (and putting off) our need for renting a storage space. Luckily I read the reviews here and took a chance! This place is so clean and bright!!! The security seems well planned & it’s an excellent value for the quality of the space! We are really excited about decluttering our home before the new year, thank you so much Maria!

I never thought I would need a storage unit, yet when the time came for me to get one Storage Etc. was the best choice I could have made! Wonderful customer service! The staff was excellent. They answered all of my questions thoroughly and explained all of the costs so there were no surprises! I was in and out in 20 minutes with everything I needed to store my belongings. I would recommend this storage to my friends and I never review on Unilocal

I really appreciate the way this facility is managed. It is clean, orderly, and secure. And even though I am a relatively new tenant, when I went into the office the other day to pay my monthly bill, Sabrina didn’t even have to ask my name. I was impressed.

We are managing a probate estate which had three storage lockers filled completely. Maria and the staff were extremely understanding and business-​like throughout and made the ultimate downsizing very easy for us. We are keeping one unit as we close out affairs and feel the price is very reasonable given the security, oversight and cleanliness of the property.

I just wanted to update my review regarding my unit at Storage Etc. This company has been absolutely the best to work with. 5 stars for customer service, professionalism and ease. The location is always kept clean. Afraid about security? As a young woman, I have come to this location late at night to retrieve work collateral that I need last minute without feeling unsafe. When we selected this unit, I was happy to hear that their are many business professionals that use this location beside your normal client who is probably storing the typical household items. I have been at this location for almost a year. There are some people on Unilocal who stated parking is an issue, again that has never been the case for myself even on busy weekends when UHauls are on site. In addition there were a few times were I had issues with transferring the account under new names or corporate cards having issues for credit card payment and Maria has always been professional in assisting me in completing payments/​issues. It is always great to have outstanding service when such hiccups occur. A good tip: if your passcode is not working to let you in you may need to write it down because the only time I had problems using my password code was because I was entering the wrong code. If you run into this issue have Maria walk you through it and she will write it down. Keep it in a safe spot in your car when you forget when the office is closed! Maria and Sabrina run a great facility there. If I ever needed to use a location for my personal belongings this would be it. Thank you Maria and Sabrina.

Been a customer here for the past 2.5 years.
I am very happy with the storage units I rent.
Property is always clean and organized well.
Staff is super friendly and approachable if you were to have any issues or questions.
Property is well secured and protected with the code entry gates on both ends and cameras all over the place, covering every angle possible.
Each individual storage unit has its own alarm and sprinkler system.
Some larger units have lights with a timer.
There are carts available to help you transfer your stuff in/​and out or between your units.
My only complain is that these carts are locked out after business hours and cannot be used during that time.
There might be only one unlocked cart available but that is not sufficient if there are other tenants using it.
You can have access to your account online where you can see your units, billing history, payments made and can change or update credit card for recurring payments.

Storage etc. is an extremely clean and proffesional operation. Also, Subrina and Maria are absolutely wonderful. I always walk out of there with a smile.

Today was über crazy! I had to find movers and a storage facility that would be available today! I found the best moving company and Storages Etc.
I’ve never used a storage before so I had no idea what size to get or if my stuff would fit, plus I was stressed about my move.
I walked into this place and was happy! Super clean, lots of light, and great air conditioning system! Sabrina at the front desk was THE BEST! She made me feel at ease. She walked me through the process, and gave me a storage that fit my stuff perfectly! Ended the day happy!
I highly recommend!

From the moment Maria answered the phone, she was courteous and professional. Her team was very accommodating and pleasant to work with. She clearly runs a tight ship, the facility is maintained extremely well and spotless. I would refer this facility in a nano-​second.

I will agree with the other comments regarding the excellent service from Maria, the safety, and the cleanliness of the place in the last couple of years
But it wasn’t always this way…
About 3 years ago, I left several messages for the office telling them that I had rats sleeping in my unit — as was evidenced by the rat fur and droppings all over my soft belongings that were close to the ceiling.
I never received a response.
After I moved my soft stuff so that it was closer to the floor and cleaned my *own* unit, the management installed numerous rat traps around the perimeter of the building (the black boxes you will see), and this seems to have solved that problem.
My other issue with this facility — and it may be that all Storage Etc.‘s are managed this way — but my monthly fee went up every year and a half like clockwork. In the 6 years that I was a customer of theirs, my fee went over $ 100/​month in that span of time for a 10′ x 15′ unit — over 50%!! And you know my salary didn’t do that!
You would think that with the economy having problems and people being forced to move and store their belongings, that a place could help out.
But not Storage, Etc.
My advice — find a cheaper alternative. Their bait-​and-​switch of «one month free» or «first month free» will entice you, but this place will charge you up the wazoo once they know they have you between a rock and a hard place.
I learned my lesson, and I hope you do not make the same mistake I did.

The best storage unit I’ve rented out of 4 so far! A very friendly and helpful staff makes moving in and frequent visits very pleasant.
The building is safe, quiet, and easy to manuever. Premises are always very clean. Hallways are well-​lit and the building temperature is always cool and dry.
Couldn’t recommend it more.

I used this facility a while back and was very grateful to find it. I tend to move at least once a year, and rarely like to use storage facilities, but with my boyfriend and I deciding to move in together it was necessary! I use to have a unit thru the chain Public Storage, but always hated the managers because they were always so grumpy & generally not happy with anything or any one.
The manager I spoke to was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean, air conditioned, and in a safe part of town (close to Signal Hill, but close enough to everything else!). It wasn’t my first choice, but they had a unit in the exact size I needed & at a reasonable price. They didn’t have any gimmicks like Public Storage which made me feel more comfortable. They have a wall of security cameras out on the open, just behind the desk in the front office.
One catch is there is not a lot of parking. A busy Sunday afternoon when everyone else is moving/​storing stuff & you have to fight for the best spot just inside the gate, next to the door that leads straight to the front desk office! The elevator is also conveniently located here too! Score!
They let you borrow flat dolly’s if you leave your ID with the front desk, of course. The only difficult thing it the elevator pass code. You use a pass code to enter the elevator EVERY single time you want to go back up to your unit, if it’s not on the first floor. Bummer. However, it made me feel more secure. Sometimes at other places anyone can just walk thru the slowly opening gate, jump in the elevator & see what doors are sitting open & unattended. The only other small thing that bothered me was the one gentlemen who occasionally worked the front desk & was never happy about anything. I don’t think I ever saw him smile, not once. He wasn’t mean, just not talkative or too friendly.
My favorite part about this place was the air conditioning! I never knew places so clean & refreshing existed! If you ever move during summer this place feels like heaven after hauling all your junk! Plus, they have a small vending machine of drinks/​snacks near the front desk area.
I told you… storage heaven! A great spot to end your productive day of moving.
