Style with Sandy

I was looking for a new hair salon read good reviews on Unilocal sandy very friendly and has good experience with hair color and cuts I am happy I found a good stylist

She does a beautiful blonde! I spent years trying to find a really good stylist who knows blondes well and she is the best! Everyone always put lowlights in my hair to give me the contrast I wanted, but she weaves over my natural dark blonde/​light brown hair and it has all the contrast and never turns brassy. She also brings it up to a bright super light blonde where others took it off too soon and my hair would have a yellow golden glow which I do not like. She also gives me a fun cut that adds volume and bounce especially around my face that I really love. She is high end salon quality in downtown Long beach. Love her

Okay Sandy is a miracle worker. My hair was an absolute disaster. It’s been 5 years since I’ve gotten my hair done or even trimmed so there was inches of dead hair and horrible split ends. I have really curly hair so I get very nervous going to new stylists because I know not everyone understands how to deal with hair like mine. I showed her a picture and she gave me her honest opinion on tweaking little details and my hair came out PERFECT. I am so in love. I have never in my life been so happy with a hair cut/​color. I cannot speak more highly of her! And APC is such a cute studio! Beautifully decorated and so comfortable. THANK YOU SO MUCH SANDY!

A fellow bridesmaid found Sandy online to get our hair/​makeup done for the wedding, it was pure luck that we got such a transformation for our results!
I’m usually not a huge makeup person, let alone hair. I just do the normal upkeep and then consider it done. Right off the bat, Sandy was super nice and accommodating. After a few quick questions, she was able to get an idea of what color tones, style, heaviness of makeup, etc. I had in mind. It was such a fun time chatting with Sandy during the 3 hours that we were there! Initially when I kept checking my face in the mirror while she was applying the makeup, I got a bit concerned because everything had been so boldly defined… but later as pieces fell together and she blended everything, it came out really nice and all the contours were highlighted in the right places.
Hair! My fault for not giving Sandy the heads up on how I wanted the updo to be a side ponytail as opposed to a side low bun. but Sandy was patient when corrected and she took out every bobby pin to help me set the side ponytail (to cover shoulder/​armpit bulges, you know what I mean). She applied several different kinds of hairspray and when I asked her why so many kinds, she told me it was necessary to use a different kind for different application. hence so many. I’m glad she sprayed extra on my bangs because it was able to stay up throughout the ceremony and I understand what she means by needing so much now. because by the end of the night, it’d definitely fallen down. At least I got my photos in at the ceremony!
Sandy would be my go to if I was staying in Southern California — I think she’s worth the drive, especially since she makes your visit as if you were catching up with a girlfriend :)

I made a hair appt with Sandy, She very easy to contact & make an appt with directly. You can call or text her whatever’s convenient for you. I was in need of a hair trim and hair dye. She did an awesome job on my hair. I am very particular when it comes to getting my hair done, since I’ve had bad experiences when getting my hair done.
She did exactly what I wanted, and I even asked her for her opinion. She’s the stylist she knows best. She even gave me some recommendations on shampoos and deep conditioning. Overall I am very pleased with Sandy and her work. She is very polite, generous & warming. I am definitely coming back.

I had my destination wedding last week and I picked Sandy based on her stellar reviews. I sent her a few pictures of what I wanted to do for hair and makeup and she nailed it perfectly. I received so many compliments that day!

Sandy is amazing! I have been going to her for 6 years now. At first she was just cutting my hair (long layers) but she softened me up and all of a sudden I had pink hair. I kept that look for about 6 months and then went for a blonde ombré then to brown ombré. Now I’m loving the highlights that are in my hair. The thing about sandy is she listens to what you want, gently nudges you if that’s unrealistic, and helps you find a style that’s beautiful and in line with how much time you want to spend on it. I now live 8 hours away and still make the trek to see Sandy.
Oh — she also did my makeup for an event and it was fantastic. She did hair/​makeup for a wedding I was in and was able to find a style for each bridesmaid.
