Best dive bar on the East side of Long Beach. Tiny venue with a whole lot of character. The regulars make this place stand out. Decent pours, secluded area, and a pool table. You don’t need more than that for a drink or two.

The staff has lost some stars over the years but those who remain are the best. morning noon or night drinkers there are a great group of folks who frequent the Interlude. The regulars are easy to get to know, mostly. The sandwich shop next door provides great food. If you get there after 11 pm you will find a college crowd which is quite a change from the morning and afternoon group. It is a dive var, but one of the best.

This place is a lame excuse for a bar. The overweight old blonde hag they have serving drinks had the nerve to try to belittle me, I didn’t have my ID with me, although I have been there many times in the past. I’ve also seen her getting wasted, and allowing girls as young as 19 years old to be in the bar and order drinks. This place is a joke, their«bouncer» is some burnt out old tweaker. I’ll never refer anyone to this place. If you want to have a night surrounded by the broke bum low life’s of Long Beach, be sure to visit this place soon. If you have any brains or class to you, then avoid this place like the plague. Interlude… more the like the brokebumlude Anthony

The Interlude… aka«The Vomitorium» is quite the health hazard. Drunks and drug addicts go outside and use the walls to lean against to vomit. They also find it convenient to defficate and urinate outside the lovely establisment in the parking lot. There is also regular bar room brawls and DUI arrests.

My favorite dive bar. Pool tables, darts, free popcorn, free hotdogs, awesome crowd, super stiff drinks. Who can ask for more?

This is the best hotdog in long beach. Can’t be beaten. Finishing off that sublime phallic shaped piece of glued meat off with some good op’ lude popcorn is an absolute must. It’s not a lude dog without the popcorn.

FORRUTHIE Ruthie’s fund raiser was a testimony to how much she is loved and will be missed by her friends at the Interlude! The girls Alissa, Tammy and all those who attended showed such appreciation, respect and love for our friend! Job well done people!

DIVEDIVEDIVE Bar! This bar opens at 6 and trust me people are there already at 6. The bartender Billy opens up and always have hard boiled eggs for your morning munchies. He makes very tasty Bloody Mary’s but the only think lacking is the celery or some type of garnish and it would be awesome. I have been to this bar several time but never at 6 when then opened… boy, was I shocked to see that we weren’t the only ones there. When my hubby and I got there, to our surprise a lot of the Blondie’s regulars were there. So, I definitely felt comfortable. This bar, is small but has pool tables, darts, digital juke-box and my fav of all fav’s a scratcher lotto machine. For some reason, the one time I buy scratch off tickets, is when I’m drinking. I think the drinking helps me validate that it’s a waste of money to buy… LOL. All the bartenders are extremely friendly and make very good drinks. The morning crowd the morning we were there was awesome… guess since we know them from Blondie’s. So, basically if you are looking for a morning Bloody Mary at 6… yes, I said 6AM… this is the place to go. This is not my normal bar, but it definitely serves the purpose.

The Interlude will always hold a special place in my heart. Pool tables, popcorn machine, jukebox, and a heavy poor– what’s not to love? Sure, the place is a little grungy but for $ 5 you can get a mixed drink that’s ¾ alcohol. I usually go on Friday or Saturday nights and I’ve never had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a pool table and there’s always somewhere to sit. If you’re looking to just have a laid back night a dive bar– look no further!

Dive Bar! Dive Bar! Dive Bar! Darts Pool Table Stiff Drinks Cheap Juke Box Free Popcorn Older Crowd sometimes, but overall fairly friendly people… But it is dark for a reason and a dive for a reason, sometimes people don’t go drinking to be social.

I went in for the first time in The girl came in for her shift. My buddy was drank but not me. I will never go there again. She cussed at us. To many bars that would be nice to go too. This is a neighbor hood bar. Won’t see me there ever and tell friends to not go their.

Fuck this place! !!. Some worthless bastard walked out with my jacket sitting on a stool RIGHT behind me with my house and car keys in it. One bartender claims theres no cameras in there and another says it is. I mentioned that to the one that said it was cameras in there then the asshole that said they do have them changed and said they MIGHT… NO help what so ever.

It doesn’t help that it’s right across the street, but I do love the Lude… In doses =) I’ve heard that it’s the diviest dive bar in Long Beach, and well, it just might be up there. There are two pool tables, two dart boards, and if you have two drinks I would recommend calling a cab. The bartenders are awesome.(I would recommend being sensitive to a certain one if you want to get served, cause Ruthie don’t give a …) Stiff drinks, games, friends, and pretty cool people. It’s always a different crowd.

This is a great local, dive bar, super close to where I live(walking distance) so it is always a safe option. There’s a couple pool tables, scratchers, Juke box, darts, candy, popcorn, and hotdogs!!! Who doesn’t love drunk munchies! Great place to watch a game or hang out with some friends, don’t go if you’re tryna pick up on chicks though. You’ve been warned: The drinks are strong! So you definitely get what you pay for, they’re even nice enough to add a little more juice if its too strong for your preference.

This place was happening after 8:30 pm on Tuesday which was pretty surprising. Really nice staff, decent regulars. This was my first time here.

The Bar: Considered the diviest bar in Long Beach, this little hole in the wall sits on Clark Ave. between PCH and Los Coyotes Diagonal. This is the bar that the locals come to when the Annex and Blondie’s close early, at least that’s what I did when I lived in Long Beach. Everything about this place screams dive bar, no windows, a door leading into the unknown, and the smell of stale beer from the night before, feels like home. The Crowd: For a Saturday night, not much happening in here. Got your standard retirees, couple of drunk middle aged fellows, and a few in their 20’s. Everyone seemed nice enough. Service: Quick and delivered with a smile. Prices: $ 4.2516oz Coors Light, $ 5 shots of Fireball(heavy pour) Entertainment: 2 pool tables(50 cents), TouchTunes, 2 dart boards, Lottery ticket machine. Complementary hotdogs and popcorn on weekends. Restroom: One of the filthiest we’ve ever been in. It was hot & humid, with the smell of old urine. Perhaps a 99 cent air freshener could fix this issue. Closing statement: We use to frequent this place on the regular. Not a terrible spot if you are looking for a relaxed environment. The restrooms could certainly use a facelift. We were told that Friday nights are the best and that we should return then, we shall try. In the meantime, stop on by and let us know what you thought.

Interlude looks like it has a ton of potential, what with it looking like it was just tacked onto the side of a strip mall as an afterthought. The only thing I really enjoyed about the place was the bartender, who was very sweet to us. Other than that, the prices were a little much and the crowd seemed insular and unfriendly. I don’t expect a bar to be my sole source of happiness in life, but should it actively depress me? If I find myself here again, I might just have to slit my wrists(after a drink or two, of course).

Dive bar. I like«the lude» cuz the drinks are strong and the prices aren’t too bad. They have a lotto scratch off machine, jukebox and pool tables. The crowd is usually older and is the kind of place that has a lot of «regulars» I have only been here a handful of times or so and when I walk in I always get looks like who is that, where is she from, why is she here. But it is what it is. I don’t mind the stares if I can sit down, have a drink and listen to some tunes.
