The Pit Stop

Wasn’t impressed. Or welcomed. It’s cool I took my business elsewhere.
There is one pool table. A bar and some stools. I think a jukebox like thing, I didn’t stay long enough to find out. Lowest drink $ 4. Just to play pool. It was three of us. So $ 12 to play on top of the $ 1 per game fee. Really. ?
I think that’s crazy. I don’t even drink. I asked for non alcoholic, but it has to be a minimum drink purchase .
OK. But not OK.
Me and my buddies just left to a different bar. There are quite a few bars around that have this particular situation setup this way. But luckly, the friends and I found a great spot that didn’t charge. But because we chilled all night at the other spot we ended up spending more than $ 20. You just gotta know how to market your image. Right here, they don’t care to.

Great hole in the wall. If you are just wanting to have a beer or glass of wine, then this is the place to be. The bartender is very friendly and the locals are great.
They have a juke box and a pool table. Everything you need for a chill night.

Everything I could ask for.
–2 dollar draft busch (3 dollars for a huge draft busch).
–VERY interesting 50 year old characters there for one reason only… to get F’D UP. This includes old ladies who can’t walk straight, slur their words, but still strip whenever Black Eyed Peas come on. This includes the guy who just got released after 28 years in prison and is just happy to be at a bar, enjoying a beer.
–If thats not enough… some dude showed up with pizzas for everyone!
Not your normal bar… but one of the most entertaining I’ve ever been to.

And they have Natural Light in a can. My fav. Love this place.

This place is a tiny hole in the wall, yet it still has two entrances. There is a wacky crowd here. The bartender has been pouring beer in Long Beach for years. She was the whistle wetter at the old Chipper’s Corner (now The Pike). She gets the crowd all riled up every ½ hour or so with yelling, dancing, and flirting. This is a beer only bar and they have the 24 OZ (Yo Homies) cans of Busch for next to nothing.
