A small hidden gem of a store stuffed with near mint and mint records! Focus of the store is Ska, Punk, Sound tracks, metal, J-Pop, surf, J-Surf, et al. The owner is knowledgeable, and apparently hand selects many of the records and brings them back from Japan!(wow!!) Located at the corner of Pine and 8th, Long Beach. Mostly metered parking, some 2 hour spots as well. Very worth the trip! Oh, I did not see any«junk» bins, all really nice stuff!!!

The store is amazing! So much cool stuff, great shirt and amazing collection of records. Every punk store I’ve gone out looking for since moving to Los Angeles has leaned heavily on the darker hardcore side of things but it’s nice to find a store that is basically my bedroom from high school, with a bigger leaning toward pop-punk, ska and an eclectic mix of lots of other stuff. On my first trip I found Hotknives«Screams Dreams and Custard Creams» on vinyl, one of my favorite ska records of all time, which I never imagined finding on LP and also one of Mr. T Experience’s albums on vinyl which I had gone to Amoeba the month before and failed to find. My new favorite store.

I am so incredibly excited to see a new music store dedicated to vinyl in Long Beach. Toxic Toast Records is run by one of the most knowledgeable vinyl aficionados on planet earth — Andy, who is super friendly and ready to talk about ska, punk, hardcore music anytime, anywhere. You can feel his passion for music and people who love it in this amazing little shop. I picked up an awesome new Notorious BIG tshirt and Andy let me know his dedication to licensed items only and how important it is to him that everything he sells is getting back to the musicians and never bootlegged. VERYCOOL. SUPPORTLOCALMUSIC! SUPPORTLBSMALLBUSINESSES! Go have some fun and get something cool at Toxic Toast, they’ve only just begun!

What can I say but what a killer vinyl store. Andy is extremely knowledgeable and passionate in bringing in the highest quality possible. I fell in love with the place instantly. Toxic Toast Records is going to fill in a much desired niche for those who have a love for collecting. The place is small, but big in concept. For those in the LA area, give them a call and then go.

The record store for the collector! Love this place. I find stuff here I’d never be able to find elsewhere. All genres, too, with a constantly expanding selection. Add onto that the shirt wall, and a knowledgeable and friendly owner, and you have the best new spot in Long Beach.

I luckily found Toxic Toast during their soft open and I’m really excited to have found a great new record store in Long Beach. The store is on the smaller side but it’s all killer, no filler. Tons of original pressing and Japanese and UK imports and all the shirts and patches, etc. are band/label sanctioned. Prices are realistic and competitive, bucking the recent trend in pricing in local stores. Already my favorite record store in SoCal.
