Needed to buy an adapter for a bike pump and made it with just over 10minutes to spare, but place is already locked up and closed.
Pretty disappointing when businesses don’t even go by their posted hours. Will not bother coming by again, not worth wasted time on the off chance that they MIGHT actually be open.

Not only is Julius is one of the most knowledgeable bicycle mechanics I’ve met, he is meticulous in his attention to detail. He is also very patient and will work with you to achieve exactly what you are looking for in a bike. Highly recommended.

Love, love, love this spot. They didn’t have the bike I wanted but we’re able to order it quickly. Also, they help me out whenever I need something adjusted. Thanks to the ENTIRE staff.

Having just moved to Long Beach, my fiancé and I are getting into the whole bike riding thing. Before this our bikes had been sitting in a garage since the beginning of time and needed some TLC. We came here and had a ton of questions and the folks that helped us out were extremely nice and helpful. They didn’t pull an auto mechanic routine and try to sell us on items and service we didn’t need. I’d definitely recommend stopping by if your bike needs some service.

Went in. And felt welcome. Will sure be coming here again. Didn’t see a selection of bikes for sale but that’s all right when you have one already and are not looking for a new bike but some upgrades and perhaps some high end custom wheels that the guy builds from scratch. Support your lbs unfortunately this is not mine but will sure be my towing in if I ever have a problem with my bike while commuting.

Didn’t purchase anything, but the owner was nice enough to allow me use of their air pump.
Will definitely bring my bike in when it’s time for repairs.

Total bummer, I really love to support local businesses, and I especially spend a lot of money in bike shops, but whenever I think I’ve found one that’s gunna be different, it seems that the shop owner is the second coming of Christ… Well as far as their depth of knowledge, and/​or what they find acceptable for shopping in their store.
Today I went in West Ricer Cycles, for the 4^th time, which up to this point, they’ve seemed to be somewhat an exception… But attitudes prevail.
As a retail store manager, treating people who come in, to spend money on toys, that aren’t a necessity kindly, would be your number one priority… Nope. I asked to try on a pair of shoes, which I explained I wouldn’t be purchasing, and to this I was told «so you’re just show-​rooming me»… Now I understand that you’re in the business of selling things, and I had two other things I needed to buy for the day, unbeknownst to the shop owner…
Thus I walked out, having been bothered I called back to just say «hey I was gunna buy something else, and trying something on, isn’t a crime»… This dude YELLED AT ME… He then told me I didn’t know what I was talking about, so I hung up.
His wife having slightly more common sense than he, called me back and apologized, which unfortunately was also lacking, in that, trying to explain to me why her husband was right, and «explaining why „show-​rooming“ was such a problem in the bike industry» isn’t really an apology… But hey atleast she made an attempt?
Sorry to say guys, but not everyone who tries everything on every time is going to make a purchase… And the 85 dollars I had to spend on other items, went to another shop. Won’t be coming back. And I’ll be sure to let everyone else I ride with to avoid the store as well.
Unfortunate too, everything else about the shop’s pretty cool…

The crew here has been so professional. I’ve been coming here for tuneup action and wheel builds and all sorts of gear purchase… and they are always so upbeat, helpful and professional.
Recently, they did what turned out to be a complex wheel build. We had to do some tweaking and adjusting. To put it bluntly: they went out of their way to make sure I got what I needed. Rare these days.
There is a reason I keep coming back and tell my neighbors to bring their bikes here.

I don’t bother with bike shops very often but when I do I only go to West River Cycles! Hands down the greatest bike shop I’ve ever experienced (well there was this one when I was a kid and I got break pads that looked like little sneakers there and it was across from toys r us but I digress).
I don’t understand all the fancy bike stuff but these bike wizards do, they also understand what their customers want and need. Do you want some super light bike to race on? I’m sure they got you covered. Do you want something simple to cruise around on? Take it from me they got you covered.
I may be a bit biased, I’ve know them for a long time, but when I heard that Julius and Kristen were opening a bike shop I knew it would be amazing. Back in the «old country» they both knew tons about bikes and worked with them constantly, we were also all members of a bike club, so bikes are their passion, I can say that with confidence.
If you are really into bikes you will be stoked! If you kind of like bikes you will like them more after these fine folks get you on the perfect bike (they put me on a single speed that suits me perfectly). If you hate bikes, well they know about a lot of other stuff and can hold a great conversation. Whatever you need they will help you out!

Best bike shop around. Great customer service. I needed a new shifter lever after a crash. They ordered it and received it in one day and installed it in one day after that. And if there is anything you need and they don’t have it. They’ll get it.

When I was visiting in town, I just so happen to stop by the shop, and was blown away at how helpful the owners were. I had some general questions about bike racks for your car, and was given very good and honest answers and definitely noticed how knowledgeable the owners were.
If I lived here, this would definitely be my go to place for all my cycling needs.

This is a long over due review, I’ve been coming to WRC for almost a year now and Julius is hands down the best mechanic I’ve ever had work on my carbon road bike. I’ve had a few people do a tune up on my bike it seemed fine until Julius did a tune up on it! GEEZ! it made the biggest difference he truly is an artist! I ride in a bike club and send everyone to him!
They also have such great service and I love all the stuff they have in the shop, it’s refreshing to see kits that they don’t carry at any other shop Kristen and Julius have great style and taste. Support your local bike shop!

This is my go to bike shop.
The owners Juilus and Kristen rock, they help me every time my road bike needs to be fixed or tuned up.
Also, one of the cheaper places around town for a tune up.
Worth a trip in, really cool environment and people.

owners julius and kristen are fantastic. their life-​long dream has been to own a bike shop and it shows– from the space to the service.
they are knowledgable and don’t have a stitch of that all-​too-​common bike shop elitist attitude.
the shop is relatively new, so they’re still building up inventory. BUT! if they don’t have something, they’ll gladly open up a catalog and order you what you need.
i bought a bike light from them and when i got home, i couldn’t get it to work. i brought it back in and they fixed it right up.
