Awesome class with Jamie tonight. It was challenging but not overwhelming and she helps with correcting your posture if it’s not quite right. I can feel the burn in my legs and I broke a good sweat, definitely a rewarding feeling!

I wanted to start practicing yoga but was intimidated for being a beginner. I had only ever practiced yoga at my local gym. I found a Groupon and finally decided to take the plunge and Jamie and Danielle welcomed me with open arms. The studio is nice and clean and has a great space and lighting. Both Jamie and Danielle are very welcoming and friendly and explained the process. Every class I have taken I have noticed the change in my breathing and body. My breathing is relax and I can fall into the poses slightly deeper. I recommend this studio for anyone wanting to get into the yogi world.

This studio is wonderful. If you have the opportunity to take class with Danielle, please treat yourself! She really tailors the class based on the group that is there and uses the energy of the group to drive the class. I was lucky enough to take two classes with her while I was in town. It’s an incredibly welcoming studio with zero pretentiousness. Classes are great for brand new beginners and advanced yogis alike — Danielle does a great job of customizing the class based on the yogis in the room. Her yoga basics class is a great intro if you’ve never tried yoga, but it’s also just a deeply relaxing and meditative class if you’re more advanced. The energy flow class is more intense and you will definitely work up a sweat! Great studio all around! Highly recommend!

Awesome yoga studio right in the heart of downtown LB! Walking into this place is like stepping out of the hustle bustle of the street and into a cozy, stree-free zone. Danielle is an exceptional and caring individual. She always welcomes you with the most uplifting smile as soon as you walk through the door. They have different levels that would meet anyone’s needs. Check out hiphop yoga, it is definitely the most fun you’ll have in yoga!

I am new to yoga and was looking for a down to earth place where I would not feel pressure to push myself beyond what my body was ready to do. I am really glad I found Yoga on 3rd. No class is ever the same but one thing seems to be a constant… each instructor provides thorough and judgement-free instruction. The studio is comfortable and un-pretentious. You will find plenty of street parking. If you have lower back pain, try Danielle’s classes. I have not felt this good in years!

I recently decided to start taking Yoga and have visited a few different studios, I can that I’ve found a home at Yoga on 3rd. I’m in the beginners classes several times a week and it’s perfect for me just starting out and the class will be very beneficial as I progress. The instructors are happy, calming and possess great patience. Classes are conveniently scheduled, the atmosphere is inviting and the studio is clean. Check out Groupon for savings, give it a try and you won’t want to go anyplace else. I live and work 30 – 40 minutes away in either direction, but it is so worth my drive.

I had never done yoga before because I was afraid I wasn’t flexible enough. In hindsight that’s so silly because that’s what yoga is for and so much more. The owner-instructor is incredible and I’m hooked and have never looked or felt better.

I’ve been in Long Beach a little over a year now. Yoga on 3rd is the third studio in the area I’ve tried to fill the void of my home studios I left in OC. Needless to say… 3rd times the charm! Classes range from levels I to III vinyasa, hatha and restorative(but with untraditional class names). Hip-hop yoga is my favorite because it’s a solid II/III vinyasa that deviates from the norm with upbeat music, smiles, and laughter. If it’s adjustments you seek, Jaime’s classes are a must.

I’ve been taking Yoga and Pilate classes since 2008 and I always tend to stop practicing for a prolonged period. I think there is something about the slow pace movements that bore me and prohibits me from religiously attending. However, I take the Hip-Hop Yoga class here on Tuesday evenings and I love it! She plays all the old school hip-hop songs while you’re doing almost all the main poses and you work up a sweat because you’re constantly moving at a fast pace. Please do more hip-hop classes! Namaste :)

I started my yoga practice less than a year ago when I took my first class at Yoga on 3rd. I was a little nervous about entering the yoga world with no experience whatsoever, but the awesome instructors and chill vibes at this studio alleviated that fear immediately. Yoga has since become a crucial part of my life; it truly has changed everything from my flexibility to my baseline mood for the better. Thanks Yoga on 3rd! Even after trying out some other studios in Long Beach, you are still my favorite. Really great teachers, awesome variety from class to class, and all-around excellence!

Love it here! Every class I’ve taken has kicked my ass, made me sweat, and sent me home a happy camper. Danielle is an awesome instructor – she keeps it real, she’s funny and full of surprises. This studio is beautiful and has a great vibe. Students here are super friendly, and all levels will feel welcome. Highly recommended! P. S. Take the AERIALYOGA class! That was serious FUN and it flew by fast. I felt like a 5th grader playing on the monkey bars, and it stretched me out a lot more than I was expecting. For those afraid of the upside down part, it’s a small class so you get lots of attention. And don’t eat or drink an hour or two before so you don’t get nauseous. I’ll be baaaack!

I enjoyed coming here to practice yoga with Danielle. She is a wonderful teacher and owner. The facility itself is clean and spacious. The classes are challenging enough and variable. Most of the classes are taught by Danielle herself and she makes the experience enjoyable and refreshing. The only problem here is the parking. Sometimes it can be challenging as it is located in Downtown. I could definitely recommend coming here to do Yoga with Danielle.

This studio has the loveliest instructors, each one cares so much about helping you with your practice and they are gentle with you. But that doesn’t mean it’s easy, just at whatever level you are! It’s also different and interesting instead of one boring combination every time like I’ve been to before. If you live in the area there’s no reason not to try it!

Yoga on 3rd is the best yoga studio in Long Beach! I love Danielle and her classes. My favorite classes are Hip Hop Flow, Energy Flow, and Vinyasa. Danielle keeps it so fun and interesting! Every class is different. She is so creative and I look forward to the time I spend at Yoga on 3rd. Aerial yoga classes are coming in September. I went to a preview class and it was AMAZING. I love arial yoga!

Danielle and all the wonderful ladies here have helped completely change me in all the best ways. From my mindset for loving myself, my body, my flexibility, and the ability to be present in life! A couple months ago I came on a whim to try yoga and got their living social deal during a time of some pretty big life changes. Needless to say from the first class, the down to earthness of the studio, the warmth of all the teachers, and their care for each of the students, and the diversity of teaching styles and practice has got me hooked! Now I’ve got a year membership, and try to go to as many classes as possible. I’m pretty hyped to see the development in my yoga and in my soul, and I know I’m good hands! Come by and try a class, it might just change your life.

Best yoga place in Long Beach. Reasonable prices. The owner, Danielle, is a wonderful instructor. Plus, she’s quite funny. I’ve only done the core yoga classes thus far on a Living Social deal. Oh, that and 108 Sun Salutations, which– OUCH(in a good way!). Definitely need to return more often.

I moved to Long Beach 6 weeks ago and needed to find a new yoga studio in the my neighborhood. I had previously been attending YogaWorks while living in Laguna Beach(going to various Orange County locations) and enjoyed my time there, however there aren’t any YW studios in Long Beach. I also did not enjoy driving 20+ mins to get to class each time so I turned to Unilocal to aid in my search. I like using the map feature and searching for businesses that meet my criteria which are also close. Well, Yoga on 3rd couldn’t be much closer to my condo and there was a $ 25 for $ 50 offer on Unilocal to seal the deal. Danielle is the owner and teaches the majority of the classes. She has a great energy and is always«on”-offering a funny joke and a friendly smile. Sometimes I prefer to be very Zen and in this instance, yoga becomes my escape from the busy world of work and play. This studio is a little more upbeat and while the calm escape can exist, be prepared to laugh and sweat! My favorite class in Yoga 101 with Jamie. I look forward to it each week as she incorporates technique and a new set of poses to attempt. I think it’s important to try out different teachers and classes to find what makes you happy and leaves you feeling fulfilled afterwards. Yoga is a wonderful practice and I think you will find enjoyment in coming to Yoga on 3rd if a more upbeat class and unpretentious atmosphere is what you seek. Namaste :0)

Danielle, Pascale, and Jamie are all great instructors. They have taught me so much. Go often. When you go often, you really do notice the changes in balance, strength, and flexibility. I suggest taking classes from each of the instructors so you get a taste of their teaching styles as they are all different. Laidback with no attitudes here. Love this studio!
