Eric is the best tattoo artist I’ve ever worked with. As an artist myself, he works extremely well with my ideas and all of my tattoos are a compilation of both of our ideas. I’ve been getting tattooed by him for nearly 10 years, and he is worth getting to know. He cares about you if you care about him, and he truly has passion for the work he does. Respect him and his work and he’ll respect you. I have a half sleeve, full sleeve, side of my leg, thigh, and many other pieces done by him and I couldn’t be happier about my work. My photos include the Dali faces, robotic leg, Ralph Steadman style Alice in Wonderland, etc.

This review it’s a bit strange since I got my tattoo 18 years ago, which I still love and the color and shading has held up beautifully. I revisited this place yesterday with my now 18 year old daughter. She has gotten a nose piercing a month ago which needed to be removed for a new job. She could not get it out herself for some reason and I came here for help. Eric was more than happy to help us. He had no reason to take the chance of injuring my daughter while removing a piercing which was not his. He refused to take any payment for his time and risk. I would return to him as a loyal customer for any tattoo or piercing and would recommend him highly.

Eric definitely has an attitude. The picture I gave him and the tattoo on my arm don’t look anything alike. I would not recommend going back.

I had my tattoo done by Eric. I get a TON of compliments on it. It was a ‘custom’ tattoo. I brought in artwork and he used them to make my tattoo, so he didn’t have to come up with that much. We did the tattoo in two sittings. The shading on it is seriously tight and amazing. I get lots of people stopping me and asking me who did it. It was expensive but good ink should be.
Not 5 stars because there was always someone smoking inside in the back room (I guess another artists), which made the place smell like smoke to me. Also he was very nice but not the friendliest artist I’ve seen. Also the face on the girl in the tattoo isn’t that great. Everything else is awesome, but there is something about her face that is off and it doesn’t exactly look like the artwork.
In Monmouth County there are SO many shops, don’t make the mistake of going somewhere crappy and getting stuck with bad ink forever. I would go back to Eric for sure, especially for anything heavy on greyscale work that is heavy on shading. I love my tattoo.
