Monmouth Medical Center

I really do not know how to rate this facility. I have two experiences here and both were horrible. I’ m an RN, a compassionate care giver. Today I tried to get a status report on my sister that was having surgery in the Ambulatory Center. I live out of state. First attempt. called main number… transferred to ambulatory center where i immediately got a voicemail saying if I’d like to speak to an RN between such and such hours (which it was) call this number. I did. The phone rang and rang. I put it on speaker phone and it continued to ring unanswered for 22 mins. I called the main number again. Pushed appropriate number for patient info. yup! rang and rang and rang. Called back again pushed 0 for operator. explained my situation… wanting patient info. Operator told me she was in ambulatory center. Really? Transferred me… to the same voicemail again. Ok so i bit and called the darn number again… you guessed it. rang and rang and rang! Now after over an hour trying to get a live person to tell me the status of my sister I wonder if this is the same «talk to and RN» number my sister would have to use if she had a question. I suppose she’ll have better luck talking to her RN sister.
Incredible! Absolutely Incredible! i gave it 2 stars because the hospital operator answered the phone!

Just got back from the emergency room. Terri and Jackie were great; they were very professional. (Though, the first nurse did not take enough blood for a valid blood test. Apparently, she punctured through the entire vein and couldn’t get enough blood. The blood test had to be done over). My overall experience was 4 stars because of the excellence of Terri and Jackie.

Just spent ten days in Monmouth Medical. One day in emergency — about five or six days in ICU — the balance on a Medical floor. Almost without exception, i received outstanding care. From transporters — cleaning people — aides and nurses — I was treated with respect, compassion and professionalism. Thank you

Horrid Horrid Horrid!!! Horrid Horrid Horrid!!! I cannot find the location for their lakewood branch (formally kimball) on Unilocal,so I have to post it here. This is the worst hospital to have to come to in an emergency!!! My daughter was taken here with a fever and it took 4 hours to get her checked by a doctor!!! 4 hours!!! SMH!!! They are the most rude and incompetent people you will ever meet!!! Avoid their facility’s at all cost if you care about your life because they do not!!! I wish I could give negative stars!!!

Waiting 2 hours so far for doctor for my grandson (2) — no regard for time and little to no information on how much longer.
Sitting here watching one nurse surfing the internet and one checking her weight.
Absolutely a shame no one seemed to care.
My advice is to stay clear, I would travel to Bayshore in Holmdel or jersey shore In ocean. Looks like a lot of construction and updating going on, but what will be done about fixing the delays and quality of care.
