Excellent service! Broke a spoke on my ride through Long Branch on the 4^th of July. Manny changed out my spoke balanced the rim and had me back on the rode within 30 minutes! As good as it gets!

Have purchased 3 bikes from The Peddler and soon to buy #4, had them Retul fit me on one of them, and had them do various repairs and adjustments on all the bikes. Exceptional service, friendly staff, quality work.

Staff seemed friendly and knowledgable. There was a pretty good selection in stock. I can’t speak for the repair mechanics for service but I have heard they are pretty good. They have a little tool kiosk setup out front so you can do your own quick DIY repairs any time (if you leave the skate park especially) that’s right next door.

I came to Peddler 15 minutes before closing time with my Cannondale road bike to see if they could help me with my frozen deraillers. They were really nice people! Great service ! Rich the mechanic really helped me with my shimano deraillers, and M S the owner was very accommodating, they were passed closing time when they finished fixing my bike.
Definitely a bike shop which deserved its rewards placed on the wall. lots of goodies and nice selection of bikes, and plenty of good advice.
I’ll be back.

The peddler took almost three weeks to tune up my bike. When they returned it to me one of grips was disintegrating and one wheel had residue on it. Someone had spilled solvent on both and not bothered to fix or own up. Plus my wheel was not true. I felt ripped off and not respected.
Their stock is good but service leaves something to be desired. Pity that I have drive across the state to Halters for a decent tune up.

Best bike store in Monmouth County. Have bought mult bikes, equipment, after market parts, racks and clothing from Mike. Service from the team is second to none. I’ve tried the other bike shops in the area and they don’t even come close.
They are friendly to both the most experienced cyclists as well as newbies.

Super disappointed in my experience here. Went in to purchase a roof rack for my car. It had to be custom ordered for my vehicle. I asked and was told that they would install it, included in the purchase price. I gave a $ 100 deposit. When I went to pick it up, I was told that they do not install roof racks. Why would they tell me that they would install it, and the owner says no, that is not true? (He did give me my security deposit back.)I needed the roof rack to carry something for my new job, and now, several weeks later, I will be ordering a roof rack from Brielle Cyclery, who said they would install it for $ 60.

I bought a bike there a few years ago which was fine. But bought some aftermarket stuff which didn’t come in for 9 months — really?
Recently my chain kept falling off. After reading online that it could be a number of things like a stretched chain, worn sprocket, etc., I decided not to mess with it and bring it to the pros.
The guy who waited on me started by saying he didn’t have any time. When I told him I understood and would leave it, he told me he’d look at it. Then he said that all that needed to be done was to pull the back wheel back a bit. He talked to me like I was stupid and he was so smart. Well, smart bike guy, the chain continued to fall off and I took the bike to Bike Haven in Fair Haven, NJ. They were friendly (not in that trying to sell you something way) and they put a lot of work into my bike and only charged me $ 15! I know where I’m going next time I need a new bike and it ain’t the Peddler.

This is a well stocked Bike Shop on the Jersey Shore. I bought my 2007 Specialized Langster at The Peddler. Most of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I usually drive by two other bike shops to browse The Peddler.
They are both a Specialized and Cannondale dealer but seem to prefer Cannondale. They are also a Seven Dealer and will pretty much special order anything.
They are also located in an Economic Redevelopment area so you can save on the taxes as well.
The Peddler sponsors several teams and weekend rides often start in their parking lot.
Not really sure why I did not give them 5 stars. Probably because nothing is perfect.
