Great old school«abeetz»! We’ve been going for the past year and are happy we finally found a real thin crust pizza! We ordered two pizzas one with sausage and the other with sausage and mushrooms! The sausage is authentic Italian, crumbled sausage and the mushrooms were fresh and not from the can!!! This place is a must try!!!

Pizza is ok, the buffet is pretty awesome though. Not a fancy place at all.

Not crazy about the pizza, but I really like the buffet they do on the weekends. Pricing is right on point.

My BF and I ate at Tony’s last night. We were highly impressed(as usual). It had been a few years since we had been there but we weren’t disappointed. We were pleasantly greeted when we arrived and by the time we left, it was hugs and kisses all the way around. Gia, her mother and the rest of the family were fantastic!!! Coming from a big Italian family, I was immediately warmed by the friendly, family atmosphere. Okay, enough about that, let’s get onto the food. It was amazing! Although I am a big fan of variety and would have loved to order a lot of different things from the menu, AND sample the Friday night buffet they had going as well, we stuck to two appetizers and a large pizza. I got it in my head earlier in the day that I wanted a true, traditional, large slice, the kind you can fold, pizza with a thin crust. We went searching online and Tony’s came up several times. We weren’t disappointed. First we ordered the fried calamari and a couple of their famous(huge) meatballs as appetizers and my BF also ordered a beer recommended by the waitress since they didn’t have Blue Moon. He loved it. I wish I could remember the name. It started with a «P» and I think had three letters that abbreviated it «PIM?» Not sure but back to the food. I have not had calamari cooked to perfection like that in such a long time. Well, since we made it for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner. It was so tender and the sauce that came with it was incredible. The meatballs were nice and flavorful and moist. There is nothing worse than a dry meatball, but not these. They almost melted in your mouth and the sauce they were in was worthy of bread dunking a the end. Now, the pizza. We decided to go with an extra large plain pizza, not because we don’t like other things besides cheese on it, but because we wanted to just enjoy a simple, but delicious pizza and that’s exactly what we got. When the pie came out it was all that I was craving. I couldn’t wait to take first bite, knowing I may burn the roof of my mouth because it was still bubbling. It was heavenly. Best pizza we have eaten in such a long time. Probably since the last time we were there. It had the right mix of sauce and cheese. The flavors melded so nicely and the 12 slices folded nicely yet the crust had the right amount of crispness. We can’t wait to go back and try some of the toppings. We watched other pizzas come out with a variety on top and they all looks so mouth-watering good. Ours was so good, we almost ate the whole thing. We left 1 lone piece that we just could not eat without bursting. It was that good. We highly recommend a visit to Tony’s if you are looking for a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with the best genuine Italian pizza around(not to mention other great food). You will be made to feel right at home right away and to me, that’s half the experience. Thanks to everyone at Tony’s for fulfilling our Friday craving for pizza. We’ll be back for sure, and when we can’t get there, we’ll be ordering and having it delivered. Great job!!!

As a little Boy in the Mid-60’s(whad…you gotta a problem wid-dat?) we would almost exclusively frequent«Name Withheld — Pizzeria» in Long Branch for our obligatory Friday Night Pizza … since they(see above) haven’t realized that«Food Delivery» is a viable option for patrons, we’ve converted to «Tony’s Tomato Pies» in the Late-70’s /Early-80’s, and we’ve never looked back. I can’t speak intelligently about their in-resteraunt cleanliness, but since we don’t Eat-in ‘Michelle L’s’ review is mute. PRO’s: The Pie’s are the BEST in the area PERIOD; thin, crispy, perfect mixture of cheese and tomato sauce … Bellissimo! CON’s: We order their Pie’s about 5 — 6 time a month, every month, all year long and they still have no idea where we live. Perhaps it’s because the person taking orders is half-to-fully loaded by time we call to order. Whatever… It’s ALWAYS worth it.

I like. It ain’t fancy nor a place for the faint of heart. Nice bar with lots of regulars who banter with the woman who runs the place. It’s a full bar by the way but forget those sky miles on American Express– they ain’t going to take it. I was in a large party and we were served efficiently. Garlic knots and peppers and mozzarella were passed around the table– they were great but hard to screw up. Then the pie. We had a large pie with sausage and mushrooms. All the ingredients worked perfectly. Good spice to the sauce and the sausage. Nice fresh shrooms, cooked perfectly. The crust had a great char and was a well crafted thin New Jersey crust– OK it did flop a bit in the middle. I ate way more than I should have. Gotta say that gf was not as hot on this place as I, but I am sticking to my guns. I loved Tony’s. 4 Solid Stars!

Well, the pizza was okay, I’ll give it that. However, the crust was a little soggy. But it seemed pretty unsanitary and the service was so-so. Top choice still goes to Vic’s in Bradley Beach.
