With limited restaurant options in the area, we were happy to discover the Long Eddy Saloon! Good food and beer selection, a jukebox, and an awesome game room (billiards, foosball, ping-​pong, and air hockey tables). The staff were friendly and the service was great.

Hey want to eat in a funky rural old time establishment? Well doesn’t get any funkier. Food? Where do I start? Appetizers? Peel your own shrimp. Huge and crispy with a snap. With horseradish sauce that compliments shrimp. Wings were excellent along with casadias. Fried shrimp in a basket is like eating in a Boston fish Market. Twin Lobster tails cooked to perfection. Come on in for beer burger or dinner. You will not go wrong.

Although the hotel is well worn, that is why I gave it a 4. The food is a 5. it is a typical country bar and resturant in looks. But it is a hidden gem. Unbelievable seafood, the fried shrimp sandwich, seafood over pasta and u peel shrimp are amazing, burgers are excellent. His nightly specials never disappoint. I live in NYC and am hard pressed to find seafood as good. Owner travels to Long Island for his fish.

Great local bar/​restaurant. Surprisingly good beers on tap, and pretty solid food! Breakfast, lunch, dinner 7 days a week except for Tues. Dinner only. Loud, super friendly, local crowd and cats and dogs walking around. If you’re a yuppie from Brooklyn (or Callicoon), this is not the place for you. Reminds me of the taverns my grandparents would take me to when I was a kid. Love it!

If you’re ever in this quaint little town in rural upstate New York, be sure to check out the Long Eddy hotel. The saloon type atmosphere is engaging especially during hunting season. All types of people are usually present to embark on engaging conversation over a beer or two. The jukebox is sure to amaze and they have a DJ on Friday nights. They have a full kitchen also and a full menu of food to order out if you want. Worth checking out!
