Amalgamated Bank

Mean, and nasty. No customer service skills.

Located on 21^st Street in Long Island City, this bank is never crowded. Hell I barely see any customers in here.
If you live in NYCHA you can come here to pay your rent for a small fee of $ 2.00. If you open an account you can pay your rent for free. About a week ago I decided to open a checking account as a secondary account. It serves it’s purpose.
The staff is friendly, I would go so far as to say they’re over friendly since they don’t appear to get many customers. Their is more staff than customers.
They offer 3 types of checking accounts, and they offer saving accounts. Two ATMs are available 24 hours a day, and you there is online banking. Because the bank isn’t as popular or have as many locations as other banks they do offer Allpoints ATM service. With Allpoints atm services you can use these ATMs to withdraw money from your account with out worrying about fees. Allpoints ATM services has an app you can download to your smart phone so you that may find the locations of the Allpoint ATMs. Allpoints ATM are statewide, the app picks up your location and directs you to the nearest location. I’m not sure if the app is available for all smartphones, I have an iPhone and I downloaded it from the Apple App store.

Um giacomo! Okay can we count cash once… put through counter once (3x…excessive?) Then use old fashioned counter to do transaction… THEN…on teller computer! NOOOOOOOOOO
Then with a line of 8 customers, teller «Kiam» or «Miam»? comes back and starts processing transactions that weren’t put into the computer… um how about taking… say…um…CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER HALF AN HOUR!!! I mean, really, happy people are non-​waiting-​forever people!
They need such a BIG clue. Thumbs down, next movie clip…
