MaidPro of Manhattan

Used Maidpro a couple of weeks ago — I believe they are an aggregator — very clear about expectations worked with chuck and explained the importance of consistency — assured by chuck (good pitch) about the 49 pt check list — initial cleaning (deep cleaning) was very good covered all the areas-​set up bi-​weekly cleaning — supposed to have same person and specific set time period — different person shows up– different time and service was not the same — (simple point i have a dog — dog puts his face on window glass — after cleaning one expects window is wiped — however not so– explanation — ‘technically not on the ’49 point’ check list… have a good conversation wtih chuck and advise i will follow up in a week or two after a trip — i follow up — email and phone …actually to give them a second chance because afterall thats what life is about — Chuck could not remember me or phonecall or email then said ‘oh — email went to junk mail’ …then remembers phone conversation … then basically tells me that they dont have anyone available and the other person who follows I guess the 49 point check list to the ‘T’ her reviews are excellent… I thank him for his time so in summary if you want a service with a ‘49pt’ checklist on paper go for this!

After having a baby last spring, my husband and I decided to hire MaidPro and overall we were very satisfied.
I think that the customer service really is phenomenal. The staff were exceptionally easy to work with by phone and email. They seemed genuinely interested in making sure I had a positive experience and was satisfied with their service. There were very rarely scheduling changes on their end. The staff were always friendly and courteous.
Regarding the cleaning, we were always thrilled to come home to our clean apartment and only asked ourselves why we waited so long to do this! Through maid pro, we had many different maids clean our apartment over the course of the year, due to changes in our schedule and living situation. There is definitely variability among different maids but once you find someone you like, you can request that person consistently. The maids generally are well trained to adhere to the company’s cleaning protocol and standards. The upside is that the service is quite consistent; the downside is that if you have a pet peeve area that doesn’t fit into the protocol – or perhaps you want them to go beyond the standard care – you may not get always get exactly what you want. At least, that was my experience. They do try to be mindful of special requests and personal preferences.
Lastly, we left the key with the doorman and never had an issue with security.
All in all, a very good experience!

My regular cleaner David did an excellent job, as always, and is so easy to work with. My house guest will love his clean clean room!

Being a pet owner is one of the most rewarding experiences in life. With the accompaniment of pet dander and pet hair, not so much. While researching for a reputable cleaning company I was impressed to come across Maid Pro’s 49 Point Check List. This list was very thorough compared to other cleaning companies. I love how it defined a set of expectations which then can be evaluated later on. No second guessing or need to wonder whether or not an area was cleaned or not. MaidPro is also pet friendly and use eco-​conscious products.
After requesting a quote online, I was contacted by Chuck who was a pleasure to deal with and was able to schedule a cleaning within the same week. Doris arrived on time during the time frame expected and had all the supplies needed to do her job. Nothing feels better than coming home to your apartment and smelling how refreshingly clean it is! Areas where dust bunnies and stains used to be were gone. This was my first time hiring a cleaner and for the considerable amount of labor that it must of taken within the hours that was allotted I was very satisfied. Doris performed an immaculate job and I am positive that if I have at least a monthly cleaning it would be even more fabulous. She even organized and moved some piles of clutter around to where it should be.
Adding on to the superlative service, Chuck called the following morning to see how the cleaning went. He stressed that if I was not satisfied for whatever reason, a cleaner would be sent to re-​clean the problem area (s) the same day. No other words could I use to describe such courteous service. Highly recommended without a doubt.

I’ve used MaidPro in a few different cities, and every time I move they are there to help make sure my home is clean! It is easy to change dates if necessary (or have them come by an extra time to clean up from a particularly messy weekend or after a guest leaves) and they always make sure to go the extra mile. When I come home after a MaidPro day, not only are my floors vacuumed and my counters dusted, but my bed is made with clean sheets and my dishes are washed and put away! I have recommended MaidPro to all my friends. They are professional, easy to deal with, friendly, and a great value. If you need your place cleaned, go with MaidPro!

Never again. I paid for a one-​time move-​in cleaning. The maid that came clearly did not want to be there cleaning. Instead of just trying to work hard for the 3 hours we had her, she avoided doing the only tasks we gave her (scrubbing down the bathroom and the kitchen cupboards). She was more interested in organizing the bags of new things we had bought for the apartment. And mopping the living room. And asking if she could put up our shower curtain. She missed obvious spills and grime, so she clearly wasn’t trying to do extra or go above and beyond– she was just avoiding what we hoped would be cleaned.
I followed up with a company sales manager on the phone. I told him that since I was leaving on a trip the next day, I couldn’t wait for the 24 hr guarantee maid to come back and re-​clean so I just did it myself. He was understanding and said he would send me a $ 25 gift certificate for next time (which won’t get you much, but it was a nice gesture, i guess). HOWEVER– I never even received the gift certificate.
I will not be patronizing MaidPro again. DO NOT use this company, unless you’re looking for very very simple cleaning, like wiping off countertops and organizing your belongings.
*UPDATE* Chuck’s comment below is true. He let me know that I have a credit at their company whether or not I received the actual certificate. I do appreciate that he at least put out the effort to make up for this disaster.

I’ve been a Maidpro customer for over 2.5 years and I’ve never been disappointed. Their prompt service and understanding if a schedule change arises last minute has allowed me to refer them and their awesome providers to friends with residences and businesses.
I rarely trust anyone to be in my apartment when I’m not there but I’ve had zero issues and have full trust with their staff. The cleanings are thorough and if I ever had any issues, one call was all is took to have it resolved.
