McDonald’s

I put this at 5 stars as compared to OTHER MCDONALD’S, not against other restaurants in the world. This one, while like any McDonald’s, will occasionally mess up, it is hands down the most reliable in the area. I drive farther to get to this one for fresher food. Tons of parking, dining room space, and a huge Drive Thru.

I have been to this location many times over the last 20 years or so. Seems this McDonald’s has been here for ever. Been through a few renovations over the years. Looks brand spanking new, now.
Food is typical, but usually on the better side of consistent preparation and taste. TV on one wall. Order here and pick there. Service decent. Actually pleasant. No real issues, but one.
Seems this location has the issue with homeless and (or) sketchy individuals. I feel bad for them. They seem to gather on one side and everybody else on the other.
My last visit was last Sunday night for a quick bite. Four sketchy dudes on one table and a sleeping homeless guy on another. Not appealing.
At an another McDonald’s in the Bronx an employee got stabbed two days later. Real sad. I have been to that location many times while in college. Seems fast food joints are the hangouts for the homeless and (or) sketchy individuals in the five boroughs that are located near trains and subways. Real sad folks.
Overall, I would just use drive thru. Feel more comfortable. I feel for the employees. I am sure at this location like other busy ones employees are treated crappy by individuals. Be safe good people.

Walk up the street and go to white castles. lots of attitude here, especially at night. Bring cash. almost every time I go here at night they are counting out the drawer and for some reason can’t take credit cards glove like 20 mins.strange.anyway.nothing good here. Go somewhere else!

One of the worst experience I’ve ever had.
I Called many McDonald’s within 3 miles radius from where i live and asked them if they currently sell the new Despicable Me Minions toys. All the other McDonald’s that I’ve called, told me that it’s currently unavailable, but for this location, it was a different story. The manager there named Victor said «yes we have.»
So I drove for 15 minutes … when i got there, i told the cashier i would like to purchase the Despicable Me Minions toys only. This idiot told me no and that i can’t buy the toys without purchasing a happy meal. This went on for about 5 minutes then redirected me to the person next to her, which turns out to be the female manager there. So i did and told her the same thing — i would like to purchase Despicable Me Minions toy only. She then said sure just give me a second I’ll be right back. I Waited 10 – 15 minutes for her to come back to assist me. She finally came back towards the counters holding a purse and the moment she saw me, she rushed out the door into the parking like as if she stole something and doesn’t want to get caught. Seriously!!!
So i asked another employee if i can speak to Victor (who i orginally talked to on the phone). A couple of minutes later Victor showed up and i told him i called earlier about the Despicable Me Minions toys. He said sure give me a second, and then he came back with the sky lander and nerf toys. i told him these are not the toys i’m looking for. He then replies these are the only toys we have.
I’m just like, are you serious?! Can’t you read at this age by now. How can you not read the description of the toys written on the toy packaging and not tell the difference between what toy is which? Do they look like minions to you? The minions advertisement is like all over the McDonald’s and even displayed on the menu.
I just kept clam and left, but that was a freaking 45 minutes of my time wasted.

This mcdonald’s is a very grown and sexy type. It no longer reminds one of a fast food joint. The tables are clean and the décor is modern. One issue was there were no condiments or straws or napkins available for self service. Also the sodas had to be refilled at the counter. It negates the fast food part of mcdonald’s but I think they are going for a more professional vibe. The only reason I still go to mcdonald’s is to eat their sweet chili sauce which the non mangers did not know they had. Even though they no longer have the single serve containers they can put the sweet chili sauce in a small nuggets container. Customer service: find a way to say yes. –1 star because it is mcdonald’s and unhealthy –1 star because poor customer service when I asked for sweet chili sauce and had to raise the issue to a manager level when it could have been handled at a lower level and no more self service for accessories

Best McDonalds I’ve ever been to. Food is always hot. Staff is efficient and friendly. I wish other McDonalds were more like this one.

Avoid this place at all costs. The restaurant runs a towing scam in their parking lot. If you don’t go right into the place your car will be gone. This happened to me. I parked and went on Queens Blvd. to get a newspaper. I then went into the place to eat. When I came out my car was gone. A guy approached and asked if I had a car that was now not there & I said yes. He said it was towed because I didn’t eat at McDonalds. I said I did and thankfully I kept the receipt which I showed him to prove I ate there. He said it didn’t matter. Cost me $ 217 to get my car back & it had to be cash. I have already notified McDonalds corporate so hopefully they will do something about this. I will also be in touch with Consumer Affairs & the Queens DA’s office. This cannot be happening without the store manager getting a piece of the action. I will never set foot in any McDonalds again and if you want to keep your car, you should never eat here.

I was here close to midnight on a weekday with a friend after we had a business meeting with some other partners. I noticed there were still a number of tables with customers gathered as if they’re also doing their own business meeting. I told myself this place could be a good place where you can do such types of meetings. My friend and I were soon discussing more business ideas, which turned out to be good. I enjoyed the meal pack I got with a big cup of coffee…

This place is horrible. I ordered from drive through, checked that I got all of my items, and left. I get home ready to eat my quarter pounder and guess what… there’s no beef!!! Unreal.

This is the nicest and best run McDonalds I’ve been to. I make a point to stop here for a McMuffin and sweet tea anytime I’m in Sunnyside. The place is always clean and the employees do a great job.

I went to McDonald’s today for breakfast. I ordered a fruit parfait and a small mango smoothie. I literally had to wait over 10 minutes for my smoothie. I was really annoyed because the cashier saw me standing there waiting and didn’t do any follow ups to determine where my drink was. I literally had to go up to her twice to inquire and she just told me to wait. I come to McDonald’s for fast food. I don’t expect to have to wait such a long time.

Is it pathetic that this is my 2^nd review of a McDonald’s? I hope not.
Somehow, this McDonald’s seems to mess up coffee more often than not. They’ve gotten better… because I’ve gotten more explicit and repetitive and I now watch them like a hawk… but I still thought I ought to write a review about this place.
The other day, the employee to make my large ice coffee with skim milk and Splenda put steamed skim milk into the cup over the ice. It was early and I thought something looked wrong (he was on the wrong side of the counter and there was steam), but I couldn’t quite put my finger on what it was. I asked, «Is that skim milk?» and he said «Yes,» so I figured everything would be okay. It wasn’t. By the time I reached the door, all but 2 cubes had melted and I had a large lukewarm mess on my hands.
Granted, I could have taken the coffee back to the counter, but I know I’d be viewed as an aggressive perfection-​seeking customer and it just wasn’t worth it – it was too early.
Sometimes, I receive hazelnut coffee instead of plain coffee. This surprises me because I don’t think I say anything that sounds like «hazelnut» when I place my order.
Maybe it’s just too early for the employees, too.
The food here is uniformly as good as the food at every other McDonald’s in the world, so if that’s what you’re concerned about, fear not!

My bf and i waited 15 min for food. On «drive thru».Some dumbass messed up the order! I told my bf not to move from drive thru, checked our food. everything was fine except the fries! Thank God we tasted the fries! We experienced the SALTIEST fries ever! I requested a new batch of fries because it was ridiculous and the idiot who was helping us didn’t understand a word we said when we told him it was SALTY! Who the fuck hires someone who doesn’t speak or understand English!!! Anyways the guy told us to drive up and we thought he was going to bring the fries. Unfortunately my bf went inside after 10 minutes of waiting… At least the fries weren’t as salty the 2^nd time!

Ate at this Mickey D’s from 2009 – 2010 and it was probably the best one I’ve eaten at in Queens, if not in NYC… I give them a big thumbs up. Food was always hot and the service fast, even when the lines were long.

The Mcdonalds on 38^th and queens blvd is rebuilt from the ground up. It looks very modern and appealing. I use to go there when i was a lil boy and use to love their awesome playground. So when i went to the new Mcdonalds they built there with my son tonight i was disappointed to find out they had opted to not put in a playground again. Really? That goes to show they they really DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR KIDS HEALTH like they claim to. They say they do because they did what?.. put in a couple apple slices to go along with ur 4 yr olds 700 calorie and 30g fat happy meal? But they take out the playground where they can burn all that fat off. i guess they needed the room to make their poisonous food to shovel down your throat. i would never feed my kid any food from there anyway just wanted to use the playground.

The McDonald’s of the future lies here, a brand spanking new location in the heart of Long Island City /​Sunnyside. Gone are the cheesy kiddy posters or the life sized plastic statues of Ronald McDonald and instead we get a mature, clean, sophisticated version that we’re likely to see everywhere else in the future.
Adorning the walls are family fun «diversity» photos with simple yet bright colors to freshen up the interior and flat screen TVs with everything CNN to cartoons playing on them to complete the transformation of a contemporary locale with a fast food touch. And of course, there is a «McCafe» coffee station to keep this place hip to all everyone with a caffeine addiction.
What I do particularly like about this place is that it’s one of the late night options in the area. They currently close at 2AM daily, but that time could change as post-​party visitors crowd their spot like Wendy’s a few blocks down. One thing I defintely don’t like is their bathrooms. The irony of it all is they are frequently out of soap and do not have paper towels, yet the bathroom is virtually spotless all the time.
The food and customer service here are going to be consistent with the other Micky Ds, fast and prone to plenty of mistakes. I’ve had my order screwed up here about as often as anywhere else, which goes to show that even when the devil wears a new costume, he’s still just as evil underneath.

Avoid this location at all costs. They have rude servers. The place is packed with people who just sit there on laptops and smart phones at length whilst other people are waiting to sit. Once I was there and the a group was blasting music on a small radio and Management did nothing. I saw some poor guy getting his car towed because he went to the bank on the way to McDonalds!! This is the worst McDonalds I have ever visited in my life. AVOID!!!
