The food is mediocre to average at best. I’ve tried a fair number of items on their menu varying from their Mexican taco platters to their Western dishes such as the Chicken Parmesan with rigatoni and triple decker turkey bacon sandwiches. I would say that their best item are the onion rings– don’t eat these cold or you’ll regret it. And, the tacos come to a close second. But, even the tacos are average. The tacos are simple: some shredded lettuce, choice of meat(e.g. pernil, steak, chicken), sour cream, green sauce. If you order the taco platter, they also come with rice and beans. Everything else that I’ve tried has been pure disappointment. The turkey in the triple decker turkey and bacon sandwich is awful and doesn’t look or taste like real turkey meat– so I picked it out. The chicken Parmesan was the worst. The pasta was extremely bland, the sauce was from a tub, and the chicken was burnt and I fell ill after eating it. I’ve contemplated trying the food under the heat lamps, but they all look like they’ve been left out for too long(pitifully dry) or drowned in oil. Lastly, their chicken quesadillas were so bad. They didn’t wrap the quesadilla with a flour tortilla– never found out what the wrap was. The staff is fairly nice, but I would not recommend this place.

Other than there being egg shells in my fried egg sandwich, everything else was perfect. Next time I would like no egg shells in my sandwich though

Pretty good food. Their prices are reasonable. I noticed that when we order delivery they miss items. The people who work there are sometimes hit or miss. I would suggest getting a pick up when ordering. I wouldn’t suggested eating in the location. Plates to try are their Flautas, Grits, breakfast sandwiches and any of their Mexican meals.

For a dump, this place is overpriced. I woke up in the middle of the night with severe heartburn and had to regurgitate my food. Their bathroom was N-A-S-T-Y! If you’re starving, cross the street to the other nearby hole-in-the-walls instead. And I agree with the Asian guy, this place does not like Oriental people.

I ordered from seamless and the food was prepared super quick only upside of this review, but my burrito was horrible hardly any steak and the pieces of steak i did have were really fatty and chewy. Quesadilla was nothing I’ve ever seen before. was made on like a small hard taco with cheese and chicken. mozzarella sticks were OK and they are definitely store bought. I don’t know if i went on a bad day but i feel robbed of my 15 dollars.

I work nearby so when I am in the mood for Mexican food, I come here for lunch. The food is decent and their prices are reasonable. The portions are not as large as other Latin restaurants but it is good for people on diets. I usually get pernil with rice and beans but at my least visit, I got the special, ribs. The ribs fell off the bone and was delicious. It tasted homemade. I will definitely come back and order that again.

Had the Mexican burger deluxe. It’s a cheese burger with jalapeños, grilled onions and guacamole. The burger was dry, bland and very disappointing. It was also difficult to eat because the bun was falling apart after 2 bites into the burger. The fries that it came with was also bland. The whole meal is really a one star meal but the reason for 2 starts is because I came to a Mexican restaurant for a burger. Poor judgement on my part.

My girlfriend, and my brother come here frequently for brunch. We don’t pay much attention to the front of the menu, instead, focusing on the mexican specialties in the back. They have the best cuban sandwich i’ve ever had, make sure you get the garlic oil. The place is medium sized and very unassuming. The staff is extremely friendly, but they are constantly moving around especially when a construction crew comes in and starts ordering everything. They are also one of the few places to have lengua tacos that are cheap, so to hell with fancier places that want to charge me $ 10 for a small portion of lengua. Seriously, go there and enjoy!

This isn’t a place to go if you’re looking for good Mexican food. Granted, I didn’t come here thinking I was going to eat authentic Mexican food, but to give you an idea of what I mean, they sell burgers, wings, gyros, and pasta here as well, so it’s definitely not a specialized Mexican joint. I got the roasted pork ribs combo($ 9), and to be fair, the ribs were pretty good. Tender, a little crisp, not much flavor to it though. The combo comes with a side of beans, rice, and a choice between three things I can’t remember, but I chose the fried plantains. The fried plantains were ok, but I didn’t bother finishing the beans and the rice. My friend and I also got several fajitas($ 3.50 each), but they’re basically«fajita tacos». They’re slightly larger than the soft tacos at Taco Bell. The steak was thin and too crispy, the chicken was rough, and overall there wasn’t much flavor to them, even with some kind of white sauce added to it.

Didn’t try the food. I was intending on it, but then the guy behind the food counter was laughing with a coworker saying«chino, chino» and other words I couldn’t translate so I walked out. SO the food might be good! I don’t know! Give it a try. But if you’re Asian, the guy behind the food counter might just be making fun of you in such a typical way. Also. Mouse poop. Everywhere.

Want to good breakfast? Want a good breakfast with a twist? Then how about getting your eggs with a side of crispy home fries and Chirizo sausage? Nice little place right on Queens Plaza beneath the 59th St. bridge. Warm and comforting staff here with small tables and a huge television set. It’s a place that I frequent when I come to this area to work. Makes you feel at home and delivers a fast, and delicious breakfast for under 10 bucks. Breakfast burritos are as big as your head and if you venture to get the rice and beans with flour tortilla with your eggs, you will not be disappointed because the sauces that they give you which are homemade really light up your eggs and your morning. Buenos f#*€ing Dias

Ordered the chilaquiles with red sauce. Chicken and sauce had a bizarre chemical taste to them. Beans were lukewarm. Overall a disgusting experience. Don’t eat here. Two stars because the staff were super friendly.

I go here because it’s around the corner and I’m too lazy to go to Astoria. And they’re nice here. will probably keep going cuz it’s convenient… The food is okay. Chicken tamales are good. Not too big on the cheese tamales. Enchiladas are good! Prefer the chicken/green sauce over beef/red/mole sauce. Not a fan of the steak dish… overcooked and not too tender. Never tried the american stuff. why would it? it’s a mexican place??? –_–

Ordered from Grubhub. The menu says chicken tenders and you have an option of 4 or 6. I ordered 6 but it came with only 5, and they were super tiny and 90% bread. I know this place isn’t supposed to be super fancy or anything, but I’m annoyed that they didn’t even provide the number on the menu — it makes me feel ripped off.

I love the burritos, pastries, and sandwiches here. It’s a relaxed place to hang out and read a book with your meal, or with a cup of tea. The only time I wouldn’t recommend coming is if you’re in a hurry in the morning. It takes longer than ideal for them to make coffee and a bagel.

Not the best of Mexican food restaurants in the area but definitely pleasing and filling. Conveniently located in the heart of Queensboro Plaza, this is a great place to go for a quick little meal for two for under $ 20. It’s nothing fancy, looking like a deli or quick pizza spot meets a diner minus the juke boxes and booths, but the people are very friendly and greet you quickly and the food arrival time was quite surprizing. The place is clean and seating wasn’t an issue at 2PM. The waitresses(yes two actually took care of us) were quick with the table set up and bringing out nachos, salsa and our water to start. They gave us a little time to look through the menu and were quick in taking our order and again, the food came out very quickly. There was no hastle to finish eating or rush to get us out of the place after eating which is great when you want to just sit down and hang for a little after eating. Food was very good. A little bland for my salt loving taste buds but a salt shaker took care of that real quick. Besides the lack of salt(to my tastes) the food was actually quite delicious too. Like I stated above, not the best Mexican restaurant in the area but a great spot if you’re not really planning out lunch/dinner and want something quick, easy on the wallet, and still filling and flavorful. I’d definitely stop in if I was in the area for lunch again.

Momento is awesome. Bombest vegetarian burrito en las Queens! This behemoth is full of rice, beans, guacamole, some veggies, sour cream, and so on. The staff is friendly and helpful. Free chips n’ homemade salsa. And there’s even beer! Viva Momento!

This hidden delight is one of the restaurants I’ve visited within a two block radius of my office. One restaurant per day for lunch, till I’ve tried them all. Appearance(Poor) Taking a peek from the outside, the front makes you think it’s a deli or grocery story. The signs need to be worked on to clearly state what the place offers in terms of types of food, the inside could use remodeling. This would be a Queens Plaza daily restaurant for most people, if only it had a more modern clean-cut look to it. Service(Good) Very friendly people, but there’s a small language barrier as expected from any foreign serving restaurant. They will try their best and make your you order exactly what you want before they leave. There isn’t a big wait time to get a server, expect any delays to be blamed on restaurant being busy during peak hours. You would never see someone casually standing around or wasting time when customers need help. Quality(Great) Delicious, one of the best spots in Long Island City for Panini and Mexican dishes. The meats sometimes need a little bit more salt, but tastes great. It’s like mother brought home a chef assistant to make her dishes at home and you are just loving it. Stay away from their pastries and cakes, they might look tempting but are sitting on the counter for days. Price(Decent) A regular meal with a side and a drink, you are barely hitting past the $ 10 mark. For someone who likes to try everything, ordering a little extra and your lunch or dinner isn’t anymore than $ 15. They charge tax, but not tip. So, don’t forget to tip even a little to remind then that they are doing a good job.

i had time to kill before the Unilocal Xmas bash waiting for Florence to arrive late as per usual. Stopped in here for a quick bite because there is something unsettling about eating at a strip club. Those crabs arent for the buffet… Get it?! get it?! moving on… I never say no to a taco or an opportunity to speak nothing but my horrible spanish. Polite staff I sat at the counter like an over weight trucker checking out their vast yet unsettling menu. Im not ordering pasta from this place I thought to myself the abortion plate of macaroni they must serve, but they HADTACOS! I had 3 double corn tortilla ground beef(actually well seasoned) chopped lettuce, cilantro and radish tacos. Not horrible, the amount they give you with meat is wasted on me because it really isn’t necessary to put .33# of gb in a taco. Besides that they were good and the green sauce was pretty spicy. I was full when I left and not sad so there you have it people.
