The host is great and waiter seems generous at first. Overall I went with my parents looking for a great dinner night. Why the one star? Because they dishes don’t taste great especially there enchiladas, and they over price everything. There was no signs of a busy night that day but THEY TOOK FOREVER TO GIVE US EACH OUR FOOD. Oh but when the bill came to us, really quick to give right :) yeah fuck you lmao. Anyway don’t even bother. The guacamole needs more lime to it. Yeah I was with three people that say so they didn’t remove hat 15% gratuity which I saw on the menus. Beware.

Food was good. Waiter kept refilling our drinks which we loved. No need to ask.
Only thing is she didn’t ask what drink you wantee but that’s being extra picky. Anyways, good spot for a 19.95 brunch menu with unlimited mimosa, screwdriver, sangria, and something else for an 1 ½.

BE CAREFUL for a group of 4 gratuity is included. I understand group of 6 or 8 but I have never seen group of 4 gratuity included. It’s a sneaky way of padding the bill I almost paid gratuity twice. Food was good atmosphere was good but including gratuity and not even mentioning when you bring the check deserves 1 star.

Our family has been coming to Tequila Sunrise for over 15 years, but it’s clearly time that we moved on to a new place. In the past, we always had a great time with our large family.
We had an 8:30pm reservation for 12 on Saturday night — sure, there’s usually a 10 or 15 wait. After hearing the mariachi version of Happy Birthday for the 17^th time, we were finally seated at 9:50pm. In the 1 hour and 20 mins while we were waiting, the manager told us numerous times that it would be «just a few more minutes». Never offered us a drink, didn’t even try to figure out something to keep the elders from standing around.
When we were finally seated, we suggested to the manager that a pitcher of sangria on the house would be appropriate given the delay. He responded «On the house? Maybe at your house». I really didn’t expect that rude response from anyone who just kept us waiting for over an hour despite having a reservation.
Waiter was pleasant, but service was rushed. Limited menu for Mother’s Day and even some of those dishes were thrown together poorly. Overall, a terrible experience and the last time for us.

Strrrrong drinks.
Zombie ($ 15.50) 151, light dark and gold rum, brandy, oj, pineapple juice. This cocktail is no joke — one does more than the trick. I would recommend babysitting this bad boy if you choose to even order it… and dont indulge in more then two — at MAX!
The food is pretty good. Solid choice if you are craving Mexican. I’ve tried the enchiladas, burritos, quesedillas and buffalo wings. What i like is that they bring chips and salsa to snack on. It seems like more and more restaurants omit the complementary appetizer that used to always exist.
The service at the bar is great. I’ve never sat down at a table to eat so i cant speak to the waitstaff service; however, the Mariachi play every once in a while and its loud. Loud and annoying. You have to wait until they stop to recollect any thoughts you might have had.

Food was really good, prices affordable. Great atmosphere and ambiance. We originally went there to celebrate my mom’s 50^th birthday and it was awesome. I would recommend. #Tablefor15please lol. The walking distance to the place from where we parked the car was far. They even prepare the guac right Infront of you. I would go back again.

Got there at 12 for brunch. The prices were good .
I got my buritto (in record time) cut into it and it was ICE COLD. Waited for the waitress to stop by and see how we were doing and she didn’t. Had to bother the poor busboy to ask him to reheat the buritto. Five minutes later or so after the waitress applied her second coat of make-​up (at the table) she asked what was wrong with our food. My husband was already done with his meal and I was done with the restaurant.
The restaurant was empty so there was NO reason for cold food and mediocre service.
Save yourself some money, go to Taco Bell.

Our server Javier was seriously the best service I have ever had. The food is very good. The music during the weekend is very loud but the service is so good. Always ask for Javier

Coming here since my 27 year old was born — nothing adventurous, just delicious — guac made at the table, mouthwatering fajitas and nachos — excellent service — and mariachi bands with amazing vocalists and musicians. Great place for a birthday party…

I love the idea of fresh guacamole prepared in front of your table, drinks are always strong, live music live shows play sometimes during the week. You won’t be disappointed.

Drove past this restaurant numerous time and finally got a chance to try this place. I really like the vibe there, very romantic yet grounded, not fancy nor super expensive.
I got to the restaurant around 10pm on a Monday night and there were still quite a few people there. That reassured me that this place was good! We were greeted warmly by our waiter and I had one of the best services I have gotten in the city.
The food was amazing. I ordered the Aguacate Relleno de Camaron (half avocado stuffed with shrimp) and it was unexpectedly good!
For dessert, we ordered a fried ice cream. I was so excited for it until I found out that the fried ice cream wasn’t fried. It was just ice cream coated with cornflakes and coconut. But still, it looked very nice.
Other than the fake fried ice cream, I love this place!

Ok, Mexican food. Pretty good service. The atmosphere was pretty terrible, but that could have been a one off.

It’s been forever since I’ve come here, stopped by during the week since I happen to be in the area.
Walked in no problem being seated once seated we started with some drinks Cadillac & Passion fruit margaritas.
Cadillac margarita was good, strong. The passion fruit had a nice taste also strong I don’t remember the drinks being that strong before? Not a bad thing of course drinks were great.
They start u off with a basket of Nachos & salsa not bad nachos were warm.
Appetizers we tried the Avocado stuffed with Shrimp, I gotta say this was delicious very good taste with a good amount of shrimp comes with crackers pretty good, good as well with the nachos.
Main dish I had the Steak Tacos al carbon skipped the rice & beans had it with a salad instead not bad steak had a nice flavor salad wasn’t bad although I wasn’t too crazy about the white dressing on it? Would be better with a simple vinaigrette.
My company had the Mix Fajitas decent amount of Steak, Chicken & Shrimp not bad at all.
As for the place Itself it’s a pretty big open space, small bar area, décor is pretty simple nothing too crazy typical to a Mexican restaurant.
Service was good, prices are ok a bit high for the kind of food they serve since we didn’t get anything complicated our meal was good.

It’s alright Mexican food. Nothing mind blowing. Just, you know… it was good. It was okay.
Nothing was really memorable about the place, it’s just kind of forgotten in the memory of a trip to New York.
And it’s not a bad thing, either. Don’t get me wrong. The people were nice. The food from what I remember was good value… it just didn’t…you know…“pop.“
It wasn’t an «OMG you have to try it» or like a «OMG keep away.» It was just a… meh. It was a blue collar working dad: did its job and didn’t make a fuss about it. Went to work and then went to sleep.
It was just an «I’m hungry» and then an «I’m full.»
Anyway, the parillada was good, the guac was good with the chips, the chips came out freshly fried, and the bathrooms are downstairs.

The food is too bland and too over priced for my preference. I’ve tried a variety of different dishes to make this statement and I’ve been here too many times than I would have liked. My Dad absolutely loves this place though and always brings the family over here when he’s in a Mexican mood. The food just doesn’t cut it but I do enjoy watching them make the guacamole table side. However, do yourself the favor and order the sangria it makes up for the bland food you probably won’t be eating much of.

My boyfriend and I came here to meet up with some friends. They have a sitting area and a bar area. We were by the bar area, which was super crowded due to a soccer game that was on.
I had a margarita and sampled some guacamole and both were very good.
I gave it three stars because the staff wasn’t as friendly as I hoped they be. The bathrooms weren’t the cleanest and the location was a bit awkward, located towards the front of the bar area and down a flight of stairs.
With so many other great options, not sure if I’ll make it a point to return. Unless, I want a good drink and I’m already in the neighborhood.

The guacamole was good. I also ordered Tacos al Carbon and the steak was full of fat and chewy. I’ll never order that here again. The kids liked the chicken quesadilla. It’s quite expensive though. Too expensive for the quality of food received. Will not return.

Visited for lunch with my toddler and mother on Cinco de Mayo and lunch service was verrrrry slow. They have some really well priced lunch specials, but you would imagine that the service from sit down to paying your check would be less than an hour. Maybe they aren’t used to such a large crowd coming in for lunch on a week day? but in all fairness they should have been prepared on Cinco de Mayo!
The strawberry frozen daiquiri for $ 10.00 was advertised as just that. I wasn’t expecting tequila, but it definitely had some it it so I wonder if the waiter confused my order or what. My mother ordered the same drink, and it had it as well.
Tortilla chips and salsa were brought out promptly and were yummy. We ordered the lunch appetizer portion of guacamole, and it was great. Then the lonnnng wait for our food. I ordered the chicken taco and enchilada special for around $ 7.00 that includes rice and refried beans with melted cheese. Not the best mexican I have had, but far far from the worst. Nothing was really wrong with our visit besides the long waiting– and I would like to try the dinner menu out and maybe come here for a night out with some friends because the strawberry daiquiri with tequila still was pretty delicious.

Si eres Mexicano no te recomiendo este restaurante ya que no tienen agua de orchata o de sabores y bueno la comida esta mas o menos, la musica tambien esta mas o menos pero cuando se trata de algo auténtico Mexicano nada solo tex mex, el mesero me dijo la ultima vez que la ultima vez que hicieron agua de sabores como orchata o jamaica terminaron tirandola y tomandosela los meseros pues no hay clientela mexicana que entre ahi solo gente de otros países, tuve que optar por ir a otro restaurante cuando me dijo eso!

I love this restaurant (both LIC and also the bayside location) this is a Mexican restaurant where everything I’ve ever tried is delicious. We started with chips and salsa followed by guacamole which was made at the table, let’s say yummy yummy yummy. One of my friends had a fish dish and the other an Argentinian steak with sausage. I had steak fajitas and all three dishes were delish. The portions are large, the prices are reasonable.
There’s frequently a mariachi band in the evening and tonight’s lead singer was terrific. It was my friends birthday so they came over with a sombrero and the best tres leche cake I’ve ever had.
Pros: great food, wonderful mariachi band, fun atmosphere.
Cons: staff speaks limited English but menu has English subtitles.

Este Restaurant es más como para gringos Nunca ordenen un cóctel de camarones porque no es al Stilo mexicano. Y el pico de gallo .será de gallo gringo porque no pica. Y los bulldogs. No son. Bulldogs. Más bien serán Chihuahuas. Y los precios muy altos. Yo soy 100% mexicano. So nada que ver. Con la cómida mexicana. Lo único bueno de ahí es el mariachi y el guacamole.:
