Owners Ed and Mary kept the light on for me as my plane was delayed last Friday into Eagle River. When we arrived just past nine, Wendy had two, ice-​cold beers and two orders of all-​we-​could-​eat haddock ready to go. The Friday Fish Fry gives you fries or pub chips, baked beans, great cole slaw, rye with butter, and a special treat for dessert (in the fall, brownies; last Friday, watermelon). They’ve added a screened-​in porch so you can take in the air without donating any blood to mosquitoes. Highly recommended. Last business on WI-​55, right at the Brule River /​Michigan border.
