Attention everyone with Peapack Gladstone Bank with a free personal checking account: the bank discontinued your account type & will charge you $ 10/​month if you don’t have a $ 5000 balance. They used up my money, overdrafted my account & charged me $ 5/​day until I just fixed it & then told me it was my own fault. I couldn’t even close my account without paying them. I feel like I’ve just been extorted & actually cried in the bank. Guess who’s changing banks? This girl, that’s who.

I’ve had awfully inconsistent service there, especially when it comes to depositing and withdrawing from an account with a custodian. Their staff is pleasant, and the interior is very nice, but when it comes to banking and transactions, I’ve noticed poorly trained staff and inconsistent service. If you use the drive thru, though and you have a dog in the car, they’ll send some biscuits through the chute lol.
