Kiddly Winks

I discovered Kiddly Winks online while shopping for a birthday gift for my daughter. The selection of items is very nice and on par with some of the better independent toy stores I have encountered over the years. But, in all honesty, if the experience had stopped there, I probably would not have written a review. What really wowed me was the customer service. A short time after placing my order online, I received a telephone call from a friendly woman who apologized for an item being out of stock and who was extremely thoughtful in talking to me about what I was looking for and suggesting alternatives. As it turned out, her suggestion was probably better than the original item I chose. I wish the actual store was close to me, but I’m glad they’re on the web.

This is the sort of place where you can shop knowing you are not only giving your kids something they are whining for but you are actually helping to cultivate their brains.
Every item in the store is hand-​picked by the owner, who searches far and wide for the best, educational (and healthy if you will) toys. You won’t find things (like Bratz) that make you cringe thinking of what you are encouraging in your child by allowing them to play.
In addition to the toys, you will find all your baby needs (like the best strollers, etc) and special occasion apparel (I’m getting my flower girls’ dresses here).
The staff could not be more knowledgeable and helpful. They have the most fun wrapping I’ve ever seen — including custom toy «buckets» that they can fill to order to match your child’s interest.
Books and boardgames will keep even the kids at heart in your life busy.
